If I must needs glory, I will glory of the things which concern mine infirmities.

אָכֹל דְּבַשׁ הַרְבּוֹת לֹא-טוֹב וְחֵקֶר כְּבֹדָם כָּבֽוֹד׃
It is not good to eat much honey: so for men to search their own glory is not glory.
כֹּה׀ אָמַר יְהוָה אַל-יִתְהַלֵּל חָכָם בְּחָכְמָתוֹ וְאַל-יִתְהַלֵּל הַגִּבּוֹר בִּגְבֽוּרָתוֹ אַל-יִתְהַלֵּל עָשִׁיר בְּעָשְׁרֽוֹ׃
Thus saith the LORD, Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, neither let the mighty man glory in his might, let not the rich man glory in his riches:
καὶ ἐγὼ ἐν ἀσθενείᾳ καὶ ἐν φόβῳ καὶ ἐν τρόμῳ πολλῷ ἐγενόμην πρὸς ὑμᾶς
And I was with you in weakness, and in fear, and in much trembling.
Καυχᾶσθαι δὴ οὐ συμφέρει μοι· ἐλεύσομαι γὰρ εἰς ὀπτασίας καὶ ἀποκαλύψεις κυρίου
It is not expedient for me doubtless to glory. I will come to visions and revelations of the Lord.
Πάλιν λέγω μή τίς με δόξῃ ἄφρονα εἶναι· εἰ δὲ μήγε κἂν ὡς ἄφρονα δέξασθέ με ἵνα μικρόν τι κἀγὼ καυχήσωμαι
I say again, Let no man think me a fool; if otherwise, yet as a fool receive me, that I may boast myself a little.
יְהַלֶּלְךָ זָר וְלֹא-פִיךָ נָכְרִי וְאַל-שְׂפָתֶֽיךָ׃
Let another man praise thee, and not thine own mouth; a stranger, and not thine own lips.
Νῦν χαίρω ἐν τοῖς παθήμασιν μου ὑπὲρ ὑμῶν καὶ ἀνταναπληρῶ τὰ ὑστερήματα τῶν θλίψεων τοῦ Χριστοῦ ἐν τῇ σαρκί μου ὑπὲρ τοῦ σώματος αὐτοῦ ὅ ἐστιν ἡ ἐκκλησία
Who now rejoice in my sufferings for you, and fill up that which is behind of the afflictions of Christ in my flesh for sake, his body's which is the church:
