Thus they changed their glory into the similitude of an ox that eateth grass.

But God is the judge: he putteth down one, and setteth up another.

Job 30:3

בְּחֶסֶר וּבְכָפָן גַּלְמוּד הַֽעֹרְקִים צִיָּה אֶמֶשׁ שׁוֹאָה וּמְשֹׁאָֽה׃

For want and famine they were solitary; fleeing into the wilderness in former time desolate and waste.

Daniel 5:21

וּמִן-בְּנֵי אֲנָשָׁא טְרִיד וְלִבְבֵהּ׀ עִם-חֵיוְתָא שַׁוִּי וְעִם-עֲרָֽדַיָּא מְדוֹרֵהּ עִשְׂבָּא כְתוֹרִין יְטַעֲמוּנֵּהּ וּמִטַּל שְׁמַיָּא גִּשְׁמֵהּ יִצְטַבַּע עַד דִּֽי-יְדַע דִּֽי-שַׁלִּיט אֱלָהָא עִלָּיָא בְּמַלְכוּת אֲנָשָׁא וּלְמַן-דִּי יִצְבֵּא יְהָקֵים עֲלַֽיהּ׃

And he was driven from the sons of men; and his heart was made like the beasts, and his dwelling was with the wild asses: they fed him with grass like oxen, and his body was wet with the dew of heaven; till he knew that the most high God ruled in the kingdom of men, and that he appointeth over it whomsoever he will.

Mark 5:3

ὃς τὴν κατοίκησιν εἶχεν ἐν τοῖς μνήμείοις· καὶ οὒτε ἁλύσεσιν οὐδεὶς ἠδύνατο αὐτὸν δῆσαι

וּמִן-אֲנָשָׁא לָךְ טָֽרְדִין וְֽעִם-חֵיוַת בָּרָא מְדֹרָךְ עִשְׂבָּא כְתוֹרִין לָךְ יְטַעֲמוּן וְשִׁבְעָה עִדָּנִין יַחְלְפוּן עֲלָיךְ עַד דִּֽי-תִנְדַּע דִּֽי-שַׁלִּיט עִלָּיָא בְּמַלְכוּת אֲנָשָׁא וּלְמַן-דִּי יִצְבֵּא יִתְּנִנַּֽהּ׃

And they shall drive thee from men, and thy dwelling shall be with the beasts of the field: they shall make thee to eat grass as oxen, and seven times shall pass over thee, until thou know that the most High ruleth in the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever he will.
