ὁ δὲ ἀτενίσας αὐτῷ καὶ ἔμφοβος γενόμενος εἶπεν Τί ἐστιν κύριε εἶπεν δὲ αὐτῷ Αἱ προσευχαί σου καὶ αἱ ἐλεημοσύναι σου ἀνέβησαν εἰς μνημόσυνον ἐνώπιον τοῦ θεοῦ
And when he looked on him, he was afraid, and said, What is it, Lord? And he said unto him, Thy prayers and thine alms are come up for a memorial before God.
καὶ ἐταράχθη Ζαχαρίας ἰδών καὶ φόβος ἐπέπεσεν ἐπ' αὐτόν
And when Zacharias saw him, he was troubled, and fear fell upon him.
οἱ δὲ ἰδόντες αὐτὸν περιπατοῦντα ἐπὶ τῆς θαλάσσης ἔδοξαν φάντασμά εἶναι καὶ ἀνέκραξαν·
But when they saw him walking upon the sea, they supposed it had been a spirit, and cried out:
וְלָֽאֲתֹנוֹת הָאֹֽבְדוֹת לְךָ הַיּוֹם שְׁלֹשֶׁת הַיָּמִים אַל-תָּשֶׂם אֶֽת-לִבְּךָ לָהֶם כִּי נִמְצָאוּ וּלְמִי כָּל-חֶמְדַּת יִשְׂרָאֵל הֲלוֹא לְךָ וּלְכֹל בֵּית אָבִֽיךָ׃
And as for thine asses that were lost three days ago, set not thy mind on them; for they are found. And on whom is all the desire of Israel? Is it not on thee, and on all thy father's house?
καὶ ἔθεντο πάντες οἱ ἀκούσαντες ἐν τῇ καρδίᾳ αὐτῶν λέγοντες Τί ἄρα τὸ παιδίον τοῦτο ἔσται καὶ χεὶρ κυρίου ἦν μετ' αὐτοῦ
And all they that heard them laid up them in their hearts, saying, What manner of child shall this be! And the hand of the Lord was with him.
ἡ δὲ Μαριὰμ πάντα συνετήρει τὰ ῥήματα ταῦτα συμβάλλουσα ἐν τῇ καρδίᾳ αὐτῆς
But Mary kept all these things, and pondered them in her heart.
καὶ κατέβη μετ' αὐτῶν καὶ ἦλθεν εἰς Ναζαρέτ καὶ ἦν ὑποτασσόμενος αὐτοῖς καὶ ἡ μήτηρ αὐτοῦ διετήρει πάντα τὰ ῥήματα ταῦτα ἐν τῇ καρδίᾳ αὐτῆς
And he went down with them, and came to Nazareth, and was subject unto them: but his mother kept all these sayings in her heart.
καὶ εἰσελθοῦσαι εἰς τὸ μνημεῖον εἶδον νεανίσκον καθήμενον ἐν τοῖς δεξιοῖς περιβεβλημένον στολὴν λευκήν καὶ ἐξεθαμβήθησαν
And entering into the sepulchre, they saw a young man sitting on the right side, clothed in a long white garment; and they were affrighted.
וַיֹּאמֶר אֵלָיו גִּדְעוֹן בִּי אֲדֹנִי וְיֵשׁ יְהוָה עִמָּנוּ וְלָמָּה מְצָאַתְנוּ כָּל-זֹאת וְאַיֵּה כָֽל-נִפְלְאֹתָיו אֲשֶׁר סִפְּרוּ-לָנוּ אֲבוֹתֵינוּ לֵאמֹר הֲלֹא מִמִּצְרַיִם הֶֽעֱלָנוּ יְהוָה וְעַתָּה נְטָשָׁנוּ יְהוָה וַֽיִּתְּנֵנוּ בְּכַף-מִדְיָֽן׃
And Gideon said unto him, Oh my Lord, if the LORD be with us, why then is all this befallen us? and where be all his miracles which our fathers told us of, saying, Did not the LORD bring us up from Egypt? but now the LORD hath forsaken us, and delivered us into the hands of the Midianites.
