And when they had appointed him a day, there came many to him into his lodging; to whom he expounded and testified the kingdom of God, persuading them concerning Jesus, both out of the law of Moses, and out of the prophets, from morning till evening.
ὁ δὲ Ἀγρίππας πρὸς τὸν Παῦλον ἔφη Ἐν ὀλίγῳ με πείθεις Χριστιανὸν γενέσθαι
Then Agrippa said unto Paul, Almost thou persuadest me to be a Christian.
Εἰσελθὼν δὲ εἰς τὴν συναγωγὴν ἐπαῤῥησιάζετο ἐπὶ μῆνας τρεῖς διαλεγόμενος καὶ πείθων τὰ περὶ τῆς βασιλείας τοῦ θεοῦ
And he went into the synagogue, and spake boldly for the space of three months, disputing and persuading the things concerning the kingdom of God.
Εἰδότες οὖν τὸν φόβον τοῦ κυρίου ἀνθρώπους πείθομεν θεῷ δὲ πεφανερώμεθα· ἐλπίζω δὲ καὶ ἐν ταῖς συνειδήσεσιν ὑμῶν πεφανερῶσθαι
Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men; but we are made manifest unto God; and I trust also are made manifest in your consciences.
ἐβουλεύσαντο δὲ οἱ ἀρχιερεῖς ἵνα καὶ τὸν Λάζαρον ἀποκτείνωσιν
But the chief priests consulted that they might put to death; Lazarus also
יַפְתְּ אֱלֹהִים לְיֶפֶת וְיִשְׁכֹּן בְּאָֽהֳלֵי-שֵׁם וִיהִי כְנַעַן עֶבֶד לָֽמוֹ׃
God shall enlarge Japheth, and he shall dwell in the tents of Shem; and Canaan shall be his servant.
