Be not afraid of sudden fear, neither of the desolation of the wicked, when it cometh.
יְהוָה׀ אוֹרִי וְיִשְׁעִי מִמִּי אִירָא יְהוָה מָֽעוֹז-חַיַּי מִמִּי אֶפְחָֽד׃
The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?
אֱלֹהִים לָנוּ מַחֲסֶה וָעֹז עֶזְרָה בְצָרוֹת נִמְצָא מְאֹֽד׃
God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
מִשְּׁמוּעָה רָעָה לֹא יִירָא נָכוֹן לִבּוֹ בָּטֻחַ בַּיהוָֽה׃
He shall not be afraid of evil tidings: his heart is fixed, trusting in the LORD.
לֹא-תֹאמְרוּן קֶשֶׁר לְכֹל אֲשֶׁר-יֹאמַר הָעָם הַזֶּה קָשֶׁר וְאֶת-מוֹרָאוֹ לֹֽא-תִֽירְאוּ וְלֹא תַעֲרִֽיצוּ׃
Say ye not, A confederacy, to all them to whom this people shall say, A confederacy; neither fear ye their fear, nor be afraid.
מֵעַי׀ מֵעַי׀ (אחולה) אוֹחִילָה קִירוֹת לִבִּי הֹֽמֶה-לִּי לִבִּי לֹא אַחֲרִשׁ כִּי קוֹל שׁוֹפָר (שמעתי) שָׁמַעַתְּ נַפְשִׁי תְּרוּעַת מִלְחָמָֽה׃
My bowels, my bowels! I am pained at my very heart; my heart maketh a noise in me; I cannot hold my peace, because thou hast heard, O my soul, the sound of the trumpet, the alarm of war.
ὁ δὲ εἶπεν Βλέπετε μὴ πλανηθῆτε· πολλοὶ γὰρ ἐλεύσονται ἐπὶ τῷ ὀνόματί μου λέγοντες ὃτι Ἐγώ εἰμι καί Ὁ καιρὸς ἤγγικεν μὴ οὖν πορευθῆτε ὀπίσω αὐτῶν
And he said, Take heed that ye be not deceived: for many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and the time draweth near: go ye not therefore after them.
