The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before that great and notable day of the Lord come:
ἦν δὲ παρασκευὴ τοῦ πάσχα ὥρα δὲ ὡσεὶ ἕκτη καὶ λέγει τοῖς Ἰουδαίοις Ἴδε ὁ βασιλεὺς ὑμῶν
And it was the preparation of the passover, and about the sixth hour: and he saith unto the Jews, Behold your King!
καὶ τὰ μνημεῖα ἀνεῴχθησαν καὶ πολλὰ σώματα τῶν κεκοιμημένων ἁγίων ἠγέρθη
And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose,
Ἰδὼν δὲ ὁ κεντυρίων ὁ παρεστηκὼς ἐξ ἐναντίας αὐτοῦ ὅτι οὕτως κράξας ἐξέπνευσεν εἶπεν Ἀληθῶς ὁ ἄνθρωπος οὗτος υἱὸς ἦν θεοῦ
And when the centurion, which stood over against him, saw that he so out, cried and gave up the ghost, he said, Truly this man was the Son of God.
הוֹי הַמִּתְאַוִּים אֶת-יוֹם יְהוָה לָמָּה-זֶּה לָכֶם יוֹם יְהוָה הוּא-חֹשֶׁךְ וְלֹא-אֽוֹר׃
Woe unto you that desire the day of the LORD! to what end is it for you? the day of the LORD is darkness, and not light.
שָׁלַֽח חֹשֶׁךְ וַיַּחְשִׁךְ וְלֹֽא-מָרוּ אֶת-(דברוו) דְּבָרֽוֹ׃
He sent darkness, and made it dark; and they rebelled not against his word.
הַשֶּׁמֶשׁ יֵהָפֵךְ לְחֹשֶׁךְ וְהַיָּרֵחַ לְדָם לִפְנֵי בּוֹא יוֹם יְהוָה הַגָּדוֹל וְהַנּוֹרָֽא׃

וַיֹּאמֶר יְהוָה אֶל-מֹשֶׁה נְטֵה יָֽדְךָ עַל-הַשָּׁמַיִם וִיהִי חֹשֶׁךְ עַל-אֶרֶץ מִצְרָיִם וְיָמֵשׁ חֹֽשֶׁךְ׃
And the LORD said unto Moses, Stretch out thine hand toward heaven, that there may be darkness over the land of Egypt, even darkness which may be felt.
הֲבִנְהָרִים חָרָה יְהוָה אִם בַּנְּהָרִים אַפֶּךָ אִם-בַּיָּם עֶבְרָתֶךָ כִּי תִרְכַּב עַל-סוּסֶיךָ מַרְכְּבֹתֶיךָ יְשׁוּעָֽה׃
Was the LORD displeased against the rivers? was thine anger against the rivers? was thy wrath against the sea, that thou didst ride upon thine horses and thy chariots of salvation?
