προσκαλεσάμενος δὲ ὁ Παῦλος ἕνα τῶν ἑκατονταρχῶν ἔφη Τὸν νεανίαν τοῦτον ἀπάγαγε πρὸς τὸν χιλίαρχον ἔχει γὰρ τι ἀπαγγεῖλαί αὐτῷ
Then Paul called unto one of the centurions him, and said, Bring this young man unto the chief captain: for he hath a certain thing to tell him.

And as they bound him with thongs, Paul said unto the centurion that stood by, Is it lawful for you to scourge a man that is a Roman, and uncondemned?

And he commanded a centurion to keep Paul, and to let him have liberty, and that he should forbid none of his acquaintance to minister or come unto him.

Of whom I have no certain thing to write unto my lord. Wherefore I have brought forth him before you, and specially before thee, O king Agrippa, that, after examination had, I might have somewhat to write.
