Καὶ παρατηρήσαντες ἀπέστειλαν ἐγκαθέτους ὑποκρινομένους ἑαυτοὺς δικαίους εἶναι ἵνα ἐπιλάβωνται αὐτοῦ λόγου εἰς τὸ παραδοῦναι αὐτὸν τῇ ἀρχῇ καὶ τῇ ἐξουσίᾳ τοῦ ἡγεμόνος
And they watched him, and sent forth spies, which should feign themselves just men, that that so they might take hold of his words, they might deliver him unto the power and authority of the governor.
καὶ διεστέλλετο αὐτοῖς λέγων Ὁρᾶτε βλέπετε ἀπὸ τῆς ζύμης τῶν Φαρισαίων καὶ τῆς ζύμης Ἡρῴδου
And he charged them, saying, Take heed, beware of the leaven of the Pharisees, and of the leaven of Herod.
וַיְנַקְשׁוּ׀ מְבַקְשֵׁי נַפְשִׁי וְדֹרְשֵׁי רָעָתִי דִּבְּרוּ הַוּוֹת וּמִרְמוֹת כָּל-הַיּוֹם יֶהְגּֽוּ׃
They also that seek after my life lay snares for me: and they that seek my hurt speak mischievous things, and imagine deceits all the day long.
כָּל-הַיּוֹם דְּבָרַי יְעַצֵּבוּ עָלַי כָּל-מַחְשְׁבֹתָם לָרָֽע׃
Every day they wrest my words: all their thoughts are against me for evil.
ὁ δὲ Ἰησοῦς εἶπεν αὐτοῖς Ὁρᾶτε καὶ προσέχετε ἀπὸ τῆς ζύμης τῶν Φαρισαίων καὶ Σαδδουκαίων
Then Jesus said unto them, Take heed and beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees.
טָֽמְנֽוּ-גֵאִים׀ פַּח לִי וַחֲבָלִים פָּרְשׂוּ רֶשֶׁת לְיַד-מַעְגָּל מֹקְשִׁים שָֽׁתוּ-לִי סֶֽלָה׃
The proud have hid a snare for me, and cords; they have spread a net by the wayside; they have set gins for me. Selah.
מַחֲטִיאֵי אָדָם בְּדָבָר וְלַמּוֹכִיחַ בַּשַּׁעַר יְקֹשׁוּן וַיַּטּוּ בַתֹּהוּ צַדִּֽיק׃
That make a man an offender for a word, and lay a snare for him that reproveth in the gate, and turn aside the just for a thing of nought.
Τότε πορευθέντες οἱ Φαρισαῖοι συμβούλιον ἔλαβον ὅπως αὐτὸν παγιδεύσωσιν ἐν λόγῳ
Then went the Pharisees, and took counsel how they might entangle him in his talk.
וַיֹּאמְרוּ לְכוּ וְנַחְשְׁבָה עַֽל-יִרְמְיָהוּ מַחֲשָׁבוֹת כִּי לֹא-תֹאבַד תּוֹרָה מִכֹּהֵן וְעֵצָה מֵֽחָכָם וְדָבָר מִנָּבִיא לְכוּ וְנַכֵּהוּ בַלָּשׁוֹן וְאַל-נַקְשִׁיבָה אֶל-כָּל-דְּבָרָֽיו׃
Then said they, Come, and let us devise devices against Jeremiah; for the law shall not perish from the priest, nor counsel from the wise, nor the word from the prophet. Come, and let us smite him with the tongue, and let us not give heed to any of his words.
