All that pass by clap their hands at thee; they hiss and wag their head at the daughter of Jerusalem, saying, Is this the city that men call The perfection of beauty, The joy of the whole earth?
ἀπεκρίθησαν οὖν οἱ Ἰουδαῖοι καὶ εἶπον αὐτῷ Τί σημεῖον δεικνύεις ἡμῖν ὅτι ταῦτα ποιεῖς
Then answered the Jews and said unto him, What sign shewest thou unto us, seeing that thou doest these things?
לוֹא אֲלֵיכֶם כָּל-עֹבְרֵי דֶרֶךְ הַבִּיטוּ וּרְאוּ אִם-יֵשׁ מַכְאוֹב כְּמַכְאֹבִי אֲשֶׁר עוֹלַל לִי אֲשֶׁר הוֹגָה יְהוָה בְּיוֹם חֲרוֹן אַפּֽוֹ׃
Is it nothing to you, all ye that pass by? behold, and see if there be any sorrow like unto my sorrow, which is done unto me, wherewith the LORD hath afflicted me in the day of his fierce anger.
וַיֹּֽאמְרוּ אִישׁ אֶל-אָחִיו הִנֵּה בַּעַל הַֽחֲלֹמוֹת הַלָּזֶה בָּֽא׃
And they said one to another, Behold, this dreamer cometh.
כִּֽי-עָלֶיךָ נָשָׂאתִי חֶרְפָּה כִּסְּתָה כְלִמָּה פָנָֽי׃
Because for thy sake I have borne reproach; shame hath covered my face.
כִּֽי-אַתָּה אֲשֶׁר-הִכִּיתָ רָדָפוּ וְאֶל-מַכְאוֹב חֲלָלֶיךָ יְסַפֵּֽרוּ׃
For they persecute him whom thou hast smitten; and they talk to the grief of those whom thou hast wounded.
Οἱ δὲ παραπορευόμενοι ἐβλασφήμουν αὐτὸν κινοῦντες τὰς κεφαλὰς αὐτῶν
And they that passed by reviled him, wagging their heads,
כָּל-רֹאַי יַלְעִגוּ לִי יַפְטִירוּ בְשָׂפָה יָנִיעוּ רֹֽאשׁ׃
All they that see me laugh scorn: me to they shoot out the lip, they shake the head, saying,
וּבְצַלְעִי שָׂמְחוּ וְֽנֶאֱסָפוּ נֶאֶסְפוּ עָלַי נֵכִים וְלֹא יָדַעְתִּי קָֽרְעוּ וְלֹא-דָֽמּוּ׃
But in mine adversity they rejoiced, and gathered themselves together: yea, the abjects gathered themselves together against me, and I knew it not; they did tear me, and ceased not:
סְבָבוּנִי פָּרִים רַבִּים אַבִּירֵי בָשָׁן כִּתְּרֽוּנִי׃
Many bulls have compassed me: strong bulls of Bashan have beset me round.
אַתָּה יָדַעְתָּ חֶרְפָּתִי וּבָשְׁתִּי וּכְלִמָּתִי נֶגְדְּךָ כָּל-צוֹרְרָֽי׃
Thou hast known my reproach, and my shame, and my dishonour: mine adversaries are all before thee.
εἶπον Οὗτος ἔφη Δύναμαι καταλῦσαι τὸν ναὸν τοῦ θεοῦ καὶ διὰ τριῶν ἡμερῶν οἰκοδομῆσαι αὐτόν
And said, This fellow said, I am able to destroy the temple of God, and to build it in three days.
