Behold, this was the iniquity of thy sister Sodom, pride, fulness of bread, and abundance of idleness was in her and in her daughters, neither did she strengthen the hand of the poor and needy.
περὶ δὲ τὴν ἑνδεκάτην ὥραν ἐξελθὼν εὗρεν ἄλλους ἑστῶτας ἀργούς καὶ λέγει αὖτοῖς Τί ὧδε ἑστήκατε ὅλην τὴν ἡμέραν ἀργοί
And about the eleventh hour he went out, and found others standing idle, and saith unto them, Why stand ye here all the day idle?
διελέγετο μὲν οὖν ἐν τῇ συναγωγῇ τοῖς Ἰουδαίοις καὶ τοῖς σεβομένοις καὶ ἐν τῇ ἀγορᾷ κατὰ πᾶσαν ἡμέραν πρὸς τοὺς παρατυγχάνοντας
Therefore disputed he in the synagogue with the Jews, and with the devout persons, and in the market daily with them that met with him.
Τίνι δὲ ὁμοιώσω τὴν γενεὰν ταύτην ὁμοία ἐστὶν παιδαρίοις ἐν ἀγοραῖς καθημένοις καὶ προσφωνοῦσιν τοῖς ἑταίροις αὐτῶν
But whereunto shall I liken this generation? is It like unto children sitting in the markets, and calling unto their fellows,
ἵνα μὴ νωθροὶ γένησθε μιμηταὶ δὲ τῶν διὰ πίστεως καὶ μακροθυμίας κληρονομούντων τὰς ἐπαγγελίας
That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.
