Wherefore that field was called, The field of blood, unto this day.

And it was known unto all the dwellers at Jerusalem; insomuch as that field is called in their proper tongue, Aceldama, that is to say, The field of blood.
οἱ δὲ λαβόντες τὰ ἀργύρια ἐποίησαν ὡς ἐδιδάχθησαν. Καὶ διεφημίσθη ὁ λόγος οὗτος παρὰ Ἰουδαίοις μέχρι τῆς σήμερον
So they took the money, and did as they were taught: and this saying is commonly reported among the Jews until this day.
וּשְׁתֵּים עֶשְׂרֵה אֲבָנִים הֵקִים יְהוֹשֻׁעַ בְּתוֹךְ הַיַּרְדֵּן תַּחַת מַצַּב רַגְלֵי הַכֹּֽהֲנִים נֹֽשְׂאֵי אֲרוֹן הַבְּרִית וַיִּהְיוּ שָׁם עַד הַיּוֹם הַזֶּֽה׃
And Joshua set up twelve stones in the midst of Jordan, in the place where the feet of the priests which bare the ark of the covenant stood: and they are there unto this day.
וַיִּקְבֹּר אֹתוֹ בַגַּיְ בְּאֶרֶץ מוֹאָב מוּל בֵּית פְּעוֹר וְלֹֽא-יָדַע אִישׁ אֶת-קְבֻרָתוֹ עַד הַיּוֹם הַזֶּֽה׃
And he buried him in a valley in the land of Moab, over against Beth-peor: but no man knoweth of his sepulchre unto this day.
וַיֵּלֶךְ הָאִישׁ אֶרֶץ הַֽחִתִּים וַיִּבֶן עִיר וַיִּקְרָא שְׁמָהּ לוּז הוּא שְׁמָהּ עַד הַיּוֹם הַזֶּֽה׃
And the man went into the land of the Hittites, and built a city, and called the name thereof Luz: which is the name thereof unto this day.
וַֽיַּאֲרִיכוּ הַבַּדִּים וַיֵּֽרָאוּ רָאשֵׁי הַבַּדִּים מִן-הָֽאָרוֹן עַל-פְּנֵי הַדְּבִיר וְלֹא יֵֽרָאוּ הַחוּצָה וַֽיְהִי-שָׁם עַד הַיּוֹם הַזֶּֽה׃
And they drew out the staves of the ark, that the ends of the staves were seen from the ark before the oracle; but they were not seen without. And there it is unto this day.
