But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:
ἀπεκρίθη Ἰησοῦς καὶ εἶπεν αὐτῷ Ὃ ἐγὼ ποιῶ σὺ οὐκ οἶδας ἄρτι γνώσῃ δὲ μετὰ ταῦτα
Jesus answered and said unto him, What I do thou knowest not now; but thou shalt know hereafter.
καὶ ὁ πέμψας με μετ' ἐμοῦ ἐστιν· οὐκ ἀφῆκέν με μόνον ὁ πατὴρ ὅτι ἐγὼ τὰ ἀρεστὰ αὐτῷ ποιῶ πάντοτε
And he that sent me is with me: the Father hath not left me alone; for I do always those things that please him.
ὁ λέγων ἐν αὐτῷ μένειν ὀφείλει καθὼς ἐκεῖνος περιεπάτησεν καὶ αὐτὸς οὕτως περιπατεῖν
He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so as to walk, even he walked.
εἰς τοῦτο γὰρ ἐκλήθητε ὅτι καὶ Χριστὸς ἔπαθεν ὑπὲρ ἡμῶν ἡμῖν ὑπολιμπάνων ὑπογραμμὸν ἵνα ἐπακολουθήσητε τοῖς ἴχνεσιν αὐτοῦ
For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps:
Τοιοῦτος γὰρ ἡμῖν ἔπρεπεν ἀρχιερεύς ὅσιος ἄκακος ἀμίαντος κεχωρισμένος ἀπὸ τῶν ἁμαρτωλῶν καὶ ὑψηλότερος τῶν οὐρανῶν γενόμενος
For such an high priest became us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens;
