Πάλιν Ὁμοία ἐστὶν ἡ βασιλεία τῶν οὐρανῶν θησαυρῷ κεκρυμμένῳ ἐν τῷ ἀγρῷ ὃν εὑρὼν ἄνθρωπος ἔκρυψεν καὶ ἀπὸ τῆς χαρᾶς αὐτοῦ ὑπάγει καὶ πάντα ὅσα ἔχει πωλεῖ καὶ ἀγοράζει τὸν ἀγρὸν ἐκεῖνον
Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto treasure hid in a field; the which when a man hath found, he hideth, and for joy thereof goeth and selleth all that he hath, and buyeth that field.

The ransom of a man's life are his riches: but the poor heareth not rebuke.

ἀλλὰ μενοῦνγε καὶ ἡγοῦμαι πάντα ζημίαν εἶναι διὰ τὸ ὑπερέχον τῆς γνώσεως Χριστοῦ Ἰησοῦ τοῦ κυρίου μου δι' ὃν τὰ πάντα ἐζημιώθην καὶ ἡγοῦμαι σκύβαλα εἶναι ἵνα Χριστὸν κερδήσω
Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ,
ἐν ἐκείνῃ τῇ ἡμέρᾳ ὃς ἔσται ἐπὶ τοῦ δώματος καὶ τὰ σκεύη αὐτοῦ ἐν τῇ οἰκίᾳ μὴ καταβάτω ἆραι αὐτά καὶ ὁ ἐν τῷ ἀγρῷ ὁμοίως μὴ ἐπιστρεψάτω εἰς τὰ ὀπίσω
In that day, he which shall be upon the housetop, and his stuff in the house, let him not come down to take away: it and he that is in the field, let him likewise not return back.
וַיְהִי כְהֽוֹצִיאָם אֹתָם הַחוּצָה וַיֹּאמֶר הִמָּלֵט עַל-נַפְשֶׁךָ אַל-תַּבִּיט אַֽחֲרֶיךָ וְאַֽל-תַּעֲמֹד בְּכָל-הַכִּכָּר הָהָרָה הִמָּלֵט פֶּן-תִּסָּפֶֽה׃
And it came to pass, when they had brought them forth abroad, that he said, Escape for thy life; look not behind thee, neither stay thou in all the plain; escape to the mountain, lest thou be consumed.
Ἡμεῖς φύσει Ἰουδαῖοι καὶ οὐκ ἐξ ἐθνῶν ἁμαρτωλοί·
We who are Jews by nature, and not sinners of the Gentiles,
Ἴδε ἐγὼ Παῦλος λέγω ὑμῖν ὅτι ἐὰν περιτέμνησθε Χριστὸς ὑμᾶς οὐδὲν ὠφελήσει
Behold, I Paul say unto you, that if ye be circumcised, Christ shall profit you nothing.
וַיַּעַן הַשָּׂטָן אֶת-יְהוָה וַיֹּאמַר עוֹר בְּעַד-עוֹר וְכֹל אֲשֶׁר לָאִישׁ יִתֵּן בְּעַד נַפְשֽׁוֹ׃
And Satan answered the LORD, and said, Skin for skin, yea, all that a man hath will he give for his life.
καίπερ ἐγὼ ἔχων πεποίθησιν καὶ ἐν σαρκί εἴ τις δοκεῖ ἄλλος πεποιθέναι ἐν σαρκί ἐγὼ μᾶλλον·
Though I might also have confidence in the flesh. If any man other thinketh that he hath whereof he might trust in the flesh, I more:
וַתַּבֵּט אִשְׁתּוֹ מֵאַֽחֲרָיו וַתְּהִי נְצִיב מֶֽלַח׃
But his wife looked back from behind him, and she became a pillar of salt.
καὶ ἐπῄνεσεν ὁ κύριος τὸν οἰκονόμον τῆς ἀδικίας ὅτι φρονίμως ἐποίησεν· ὅτι οἱ υἱοὶ τοῦ αἰῶνος τούτου φρονιμώτεροι ὑπὲρ τοὺς υἱοὺς τοῦ φωτὸς εἰς τὴν γενεὰν τὴν ἑαυτῶν εἰσιν
And the lord commended the unjust steward, because he had done wisely: for the children of this world are in their generation wiser than the children of light.
אֱמֶת קְנֵה וְאַל-תִּמְכֹּר חָכְמָה וּמוּסָר וּבִינָֽה׃
Buy the truth, and sell it not; also wisdom, and instruction, and understanding.
σφοδρῶς δὲ χειμαζομένων ἡμῶν τῇ ἑξῆς ἐκβολὴν ἐποιοῦντο
And we being exceedingly tossed with a tempest, the next day lightened the ship; they
κορεσθέντες δὲ τροφῆς ἐκούφιζον τὸ πλοῖον ἐκβαλλόμενοι τὸν σῖτον εἰς τὴν θάλασσαν
And when they had eaten enough, they lightened the ship, and cast out the wheat into the sea.
