Thus saith the LORD; For three transgressions of Israel, and for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because they sold the righteous for silver, and the poor for a pair of shoes;
καὶ ἐν πλεονεξίᾳ πλαστοῖς λόγοις ὑμᾶς ἐμπορεύσονται οἷς τὸ κρίμα ἔκπαλαι οὐκ ἀργεῖ καὶ ἡ ἀπώλεια αὐτῶν οὐ νυστάζει
And through covetousness shall they with feigned merchandise of words make you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not.
וָאֹֽמְרָה לָהֶם אֲנַחְנוּ קָנִינוּ אֶת-אַחֵינוּ הַיְּהוּדִים הַנִּמְכָּרִים לַגּוֹיִם כְּדֵי בָנוּ וְגַם-אַתֶּם תִּמְכְּרוּ אֶת-אֲחֵיכֶם וְנִמְכְּרוּ-לָנוּ וַֽיַּחֲרִישׁוּ וְלֹא מָֽצְאוּ דָּבָֽר׃
And I said unto them, We after our ability have redeemed our brethren the Jews, which were sold unto the heathen; and will ye even sell your brethren? or shall they be sold unto us? Then held they their peace, and found nothing to answer.
כֹּה׀ אָמַר יְהוָה אֵי זֶה סֵפֶר כְּרִיתוּת אִמְּכֶם אֲשֶׁר שִׁלַּחְתִּיהָ אוֹ מִי מִנּוֹשַׁי אֲשֶׁר-מָכַרְתִּי אֶתְכֶם לוֹ הֵן בַּעֲוֹנֹֽתֵיכֶם נִמְכַּרְתֶּם וּבְפִשְׁעֵיכֶם שֻׁלְּחָה אִמְּכֶֽם׃
Thus saith the LORD, Where is the bill of your mother's divorcement, whom I have put away? or which of my creditors is it to whom I have sold you? Behold, for your iniquities have ye sold yourselves, and for your transgressions is your mother put away.
כִּֽי-יִמָּצֵא אִישׁ גֹּנֵב נֶפֶשׁ מֵֽאֶחָיו מִבְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל וְהִתְעַמֶּר-בּוֹ וּמְכָרוֹ וּמֵת הַגַּנָּב הַהוּא וּבִֽעַרְתָּ הָרָע מִקִּרְבֶּֽךָ׃
If a man be found stealing any of his brethren of the children of Israel, and maketh merchandise of him, or selleth him; then that thief shall die; and thou shalt put evil away from among you.
וְגֹנֵב אִישׁ וּמְכָרוֹ וְנִמְצָא בְיָדוֹ מוֹת יוּמָֽת׃
And he that stealeth a man, and selleth him, or if he be found in his hand, he shall surely be put to death.
πόρνοις ἀρσενοκοίταις ἀνδραποδισταῖς ψεύσταις ἐπιόρκοις καὶ εἴ τι ἕτερον τῇ ὑγιαινούσῃ διδασκαλίᾳ ἀντίκειται
For whoremongers, for them that defile themselves with mankind, for menstealers, for liars, for perjured persons, and if there be any that is to other thing contrary sound doctrine;
וַתִּתֵּן לַמֶּלֶךְ מֵאָה וְעֶשְׂרִים׀ כִּכַּר זָהָב וּבְשָׂמִים הַרְבֵּה מְאֹד וְאֶבֶן יְקָרָה לֹא בָא כַבֹּשֶׂם הַהוּא עוֹד לָרֹב אֲשֶׁר-נָֽתְנָה מַֽלְכַּת-שְׁבָא לַמֶּלֶךְ שְׁלֹמֹֽה׃
And she gave the king an hundred and twenty talents of gold, and of spices very great store, and precious stones: there came no more such abundance of spices as these which the queen of Sheba gave to king Solomon.
לְבַד מֵֽאַנְשֵׁי הַתָּרִים וּמִסְחַר הָרֹֽכְלִים וְכָל-מַלְכֵי הָעֶרֶב וּפַחוֹת הָאָֽרֶץ׃
Beside that he had of the merchantmen, and of the traffick of the spice merchants, and of all the kings of Arabia, and of the governors of the country.
ἡ οὖν Μαρία λαβοῦσα λίτραν μύρου νάρδου πιστικῆς πολυτίμου ἤλειψεν τοὺς πόδας τοῦ Ἰησοῦ καὶ ἐξέμαξεν ταῖς θριξὶν αὐτῆς τοὺς πόδας αὐτοῦ· ἡ δὲ οἰκία ἐπληρώθη ἐκ τῆς ὀσμῆς τοῦ μύρου
Then took Mary a pound of ointment of spikenard, very costly, and anointed the feet of Jesus, and wiped his feet with her hair: and the house was filled with the odour of the ointment.
לִקְנוֹת בַּכֶּסֶף דַּלִּים וְאֶבְיוֹן בַּעֲבוּר נַעֲלָיִם וּמַפַּל בַּר נַשְׁבִּֽיר׃
That we may buy the poor for silver, and the needy for a pair of shoes; yea, and sell the refuse of the wheat?
וְהֵמָּה מְבִאִים אִישׁ מִנְחָתוֹ כְּלֵי כֶסֶף וּכְלֵי זָהָב וּשְׂלָמוֹת וְנֵשֶׁק וּבְשָׂמִים סוּסִים וּפְרָדִים דְּבַר-שָׁנָה בְּשָׁנָֽה׃
And they brought every man his present, vessels of silver, and vessels of gold, and garments, and armour, and spices, horses, and mules, a rate year by year.
וֶהֱשִֽׁיבְךָ יְהוָה׀ מִצְרַיִם בָּֽאֳנִיּוֹת בַּדֶּרֶךְ אֲשֶׁר אָמַרְתִּֽי לְךָ לֹֽא-תֹסִיף עוֹד לִרְאֹתָהּ וְהִתְמַכַּרְתֶּם שָׁם לְאֹֽיְבֶיךָ לַֽעֲבָדִים וְלִשְׁפָחוֹת וְאֵין קֹנֶֽה׃
And the LORD shall bring thee into Egypt again with ships, by the way whereof I spake unto thee, Thou shalt see it no more again: and there ye shall be sold unto your enemies for bondmen and bondwomen, and no man shall buy you.
נַפְתִּי מִשְׁכָּבִי מֹר אֲהָלִים וְקִנָּמֽוֹן׃
I have perfumed my bed with myrrh, aloes, and cinnamon.
וַתִּתֵּן לַמֶּלֶךְ מֵאָה וְעֶשְׂרִים׀ כִּכַּר זָהָב וּבְשָׂמִים לָרֹב מְאֹד וְאֶבֶן יְקָרָה וְלֹא הָיָה כַּבֹּשֶׂם הַהוּא אֲשֶׁר-נָֽתְנָה מַֽלְכַּת-שְׁבָא לַמֶּלֶךְ שְׁלֹמֹֽה׃

קַמְתִּֽי אֲנִי לִפְתֹּחַ לְדוֹדִי וְיָדַי נָֽטְפוּ-מוֹר וְאֶצְבְּעֹתַי מוֹר עֹבֵר עַל כַּפּוֹת הַמַּנְעֽוּל׃
I rose up to open to my beloved; and my hands dropped with myrrh, and my fingers with sweet smelling myrrh, upon the handles of the lock.
הַשֹּׁתִים בְּמִזְרְקֵי יַיִן וְרֵאשִׁית שְׁמָנִים יִמְשָׁחוּ וְלֹא נֶחְלוּ עַל-שֵׁבֶר יוֹסֵֽף׃
That drink wine in bowls, and anoint themselves with the chief ointments: but they are not grieved for the affliction of Joseph.
שְׁלָחַיִךְ פַּרְדֵּס רִמּוֹנִים עִם פְּרִי מְגָדִים כְּפָרִים עִם-נְרָדִֽים׃
Thy plants are an orchard of pomegranates, with pleasant fruits; camphire, with spikenard,
וְיֵשׁ אֲשֶׁר אֹֽמְרִים לָוִינוּ כֶסֶף לְמִדַּת הַמֶּלֶךְ שְׂדֹתֵינוּ וּכְרָמֵֽינוּ׃
There were also that said, We have borrowed money for the king's tribute, and that upon our lands and vineyards.
