And Jeroboam slept with his fathers, even with the kings of Israel; and Zachariah his son reigned in his stead.

2 Kings 15

בִּשְׁנַת שְׁלֹשִׁים וּשְׁמֹנֶה שָׁנָה לַֽעֲזַרְיָהוּ מֶלֶךְ יְהוּדָה מָלַךְ זְכַרְיָהוּ בֶן-יָֽרָבְעָם עַל-יִשְׂרָאֵל בְּשֹֽׁמְרוֹן שִׁשָּׁה חֳדָשִֽׁים׃

2 Kings 18

בֶּן-עֶשְׂרִים וְחָמֵשׁ שָׁנָה הָיָה בְמָלְכוֹ וְעֶשְׂרִים וָתֵשַׁע שָׁנָה מָלַךְ בִּירֽוּשָׁלִָם וְשֵׁם אִמּוֹ אֲבִי בַּת-זְכַרְיָֽה׃

Twenty and five years old was he when he began to reign; and he reigned twenty and nine years in Jerusalem. His mother's name also was Abi, the daughter of Zachariah.

1 Chronicles 5

וַֽיְהִי לִדְרֹשׁ אֱלֹהִים בִּימֵי זְכַרְיָהוּ הַמֵּבִין בִּרְאֹת הָֽאֱלֹהִים וּבִימֵי דָּרְשׁוֹ אֶת-יְהוָה הִצְלִיחוֹ הָֽאֱלֹהִֽים׃

And he sought God in the days of Zechariah, who had understanding in the visions of God: and as long as he sought the LORD, God made him to prosper.

Ezra 5

Then sent I for Eliezer, for Ariel, for Shemaiah, and for Elnathan, and for Jarib, and for Elnathan, and for Nathan, and for Zechariah, and for Meshullam, chief men; also for Joiarib, and for Elnathan, men of understanding.

Ezra 10

Nehemiah 11

וּבִֽירוּשָׁלִַם יָֽשְׁבוּ מִבְּנֵי יְהוּדָה וּמִבְּנֵי בִנְיָמִן מִבְּנֵי יְהוּדָה עֲתָיָה בֶן-עֻזִּיָּה בֶּן-זְכַרְיָה בֶן-אֲמַרְיָה בֶּן-שְׁפַטְיָה בֶן-מַֽהֲלַלְאֵל מִבְּנֵי-פָֽרֶץ׃

And Maaseiah the son of Baruch, the son of Col-hozeh, the son of Hazaiah, the son of Adaiah, the son of Joiarib, the son of Zechariah, the son of Shiloni.

Nehemiah 12

‫(לעדיא)‬ לְעִדּוֹא זְכַרְיָה לְגִנְּתוֹן מְשֻׁלָּֽם׃

Of Iddo, Zechariah; of Ginnethon, Meshullam;

Isaiah 8

וְאָעִידָה לִּי עֵדִים נֶאֱמָנִים אֵת אוּרִיָּה הַכֹּהֵן וְאֶת-זְכַרְיָהוּ בֶּן יְבֶרֶכְיָֽהוּ׃

And I took unto me faithful witnesses to record, Uriah the priest, and Zechariah the son of Jeberechiah.

Zechariah 1

בַּחֹדֶשׁ הַשְּׁמִינִי בִּשְׁנַת שְׁתַּיִם לְדָרְיָוֶשׁ הָיָה דְבַר-יְהוָה אֶל-זְכַרְיָה בֶּן-בֶּרֶכְיָה בֶּן-עִדּוֹ הַנָּבִיא לֵאמֹֽר׃

In the eighth month, in the second year of Darius, came the word of the LORD unto Zechariah, the son of Berechiah, the son of Iddo the prophet, saying,

בְּיוֹם עֶשְׂרִים וְאַרְבָּעָה לְעַשְׁתֵּֽי-עָשָׂר חֹדֶשׁ הוּא-חֹדֶשׁ שְׁבָט בִּשְׁנַת שְׁתַּיִם לְדָרְיָוֶשׁ הָיָה דְבַר-יְהוָה אֶל-זְכַרְיָה בֶּן-בֶּרֶכְיָהוּ בֶּן-עִדּוֹא הַנָּבִיא לֵאמֹֽר׃

Upon the four and twentieth day of the eleventh month, which is the month Sebat, in the second year of Darius, came the word of the LORD unto Zechariah, the son of Berechiah, the son of Iddo the prophet, saying,

Zechariah 7

וַֽיְהִי בִּשְׁנַת אַרְבַּע לְדָרְיָוֶשׁ הַמֶּלֶךְ הָיָה דְבַר-יְהוָה אֶל-זְכַרְיָה בְּאַרְבָּעָה לַחֹדֶשׁ הַתְּשִׁעִי בְּכִסְלֵֽו׃

And it came to pass in the fourth year of king Darius, that the word of the LORD came unto Zechariah in the fourth day of the ninth month, even in Chisleu;

וַֽיְהִי דְּבַר-יְהוָה אֶל-זְכַרְיָה לֵאמֹֽר׃

And the word of the LORD came unto Zechariah, saying,

Matthew 23

ὅπως ἔλθῃ ἐφ' ὑμᾶς πᾶν αἷμα δίκαιον ἐκχυνόμενον ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς ἀπὸ τοῦ αἵματος Ἅβελ τοῦ δικαίου ἕως τοῦ αἵματος Ζαχαρίου υἱοῦ Βαραχίου ὃν ἐφονεύσατε μεταξὺ τοῦ ναοῦ καὶ τοῦ θυσιαστηρίου

That upon you may come all the righteous blood shed upon the earth, from the blood of righteous Abel unto the blood of Zacharias son of Barachias, whom ye slew between the temple and the altar.

Luke 1

Ἐγένετο ἐν ταῖς ἡμέραις Ἡρῴδου τοῦ βασιλέως τῆς Ἰουδαίας ἱερεύς τις ὀνόματι Ζαχαρίας ἐξ ἐφημερίας Ἀβιά καὶ ἡ γυνὴ αὐτοῦ ἐκ τῶν θυγατέρων Ἀαρών καὶ τὸ ὄνομα αὐτῆς Ἐλισάβετ

There was in the days of Herod, the king of Judaea, a certain priest named Zacharias, of the course of Abia: and his wife was of the daughters of Aaron, and her name was Elisabeth.

καὶ ἐταράχθη Ζαχαρίας ἰδών καὶ φόβος ἐπέπεσεν ἐπ' αὐτόν

And when Zacharias saw him, he was troubled, and fear fell upon him.

εἶπεν δὲ πρὸς αὐτὸν ὁ ἄγγελος Μὴ φοβοῦ Ζαχαρία διότι εἰσηκούσθη ἡ δέησίς σου καὶ ἡ γυνή σου Ἐλισάβετ γεννήσει υἱόν σοι καὶ καλέσεις τὸ ὄνομα αὐτοῦ Ἰωάννην

But the angel said unto him, Fear not, Zacharias: for thy prayer is heard; and thy wife Elisabeth shall bear thee a son, and thou shalt call his name John.

Καὶ εἶπεν Ζαχαρίας πρὸς τὸν ἄγγελον Κατὰ τί γνώσομαι τοῦτο ἐγὼ γάρ εἰμι πρεσβύτης καὶ ἡ γυνή μου προβεβηκυῖα ἐν ταῖς ἡμέραις αὐτῆς

And Zacharias said unto the angel, Whereby shall I know this? for I am an old man, and my wife well stricken in years.

Καὶ ἦν ὁ λαὸς προσδοκῶν τὸν Ζαχαρίαν καὶ ἐθαύμαζον ἐν τῷ χρονίζειν αὐτόν ἐν τῷ ναῷ

And the people waited for Zacharias, and marvelled that he tarried so long in the temple.

καὶ εἰσῆλθεν εἰς τὸν οἶκον Ζαχαρίου καὶ ἠσπάσατο τὴν Ἐλισάβετ

And entered into the house of Zacharias, and saluted Elisabeth.

Καὶ ἐγένετο ἐν τῇ ὀγδόῃ ἡμέρᾳ ἦλθον περιτεμεῖν τὸ παιδίον καὶ ἐκάλουν αὐτὸ ἐπὶ τῷ ὀνόματι τοῦ πατρὸς αὐτοῦ Ζαχαρίαν

And it came to pass, that on the eighth day they came to circumcise the child; and they called him Zacharias, after the name of his father.

Καὶ Ζαχαρίας ὁ πατὴρ αὐτοῦ ἐπλήσθη πνεύματος ἁγίου καὶ Προεφήτευσεν λέγων

And his father Zacharias was filled with the Holy Ghost, and prophesied, saying,

Luke 3

ἐπ' ἀρχιερέων Ἅννα καὶ Καϊάφα ἐγένετο ῥῆμα θεοῦ ἐπὶ Ἰωάννην τὸν τοῦ Ζαχαρίου υἱὸν ἐν τῇ ἐρήμῳ

Annas and Caiaphas being the high priests, the word of God came unto John the son of Zacharias in the wilderness.

Luke 11

ἀπὸ τοῦ αἵματος Ἅβελ ἕως τοῦ αἵματος Ζαχαρίου τοῦ ἀπολομένου μεταξὺ τοῦ θυσιαστηρίου καὶ τοῦ οἴκου· ναί λέγω ὑμῖν ἐκζητηθήσεται ἀπὸ τῆς γενεᾶς ταύτης

From the blood of Abel unto the blood of Zacharias, which perished between the altar and the temple: verily I say unto you, It shall be required of this generation.
