חָטָאתִי מָה אֶפְעַל׀ לָךְ נֹצֵר הָאָדָם לָמָה שַׂמְתַּנִי לְמִפְגָּע לָךְ וָאֶהְיֶה עָלַי לְמַשָּֽׂא׃
I have sinned; what shall I do unto thee, O thou preserver of men? why hast thou set me as a mark against thee, so that I am a burden to myself?
אָמְנָם יָדַעְתִּי כִי-כֵן וּמַה-יִּצְדַּק אֱנוֹשׁ עִם-אֵֽל׃
I know it is so of a truth: but how should man be just with God?
כִּי-לֹא-אִישׁ כָּמוֹנִי אֶֽעֱנֶנּוּ נָבוֹא יַחְדָּו בַּמִּשְׁפָּֽט׃
For he is not a man, as I am, that I should answer him, and we should come together in judgment.
הַעֵינֵי בָשָׂר לָךְ אִם-כִּרְאוֹת אֱנוֹשׁ תִּרְאֶֽה׃
Hast thou eyes of flesh? or seest thou as man seeth?
הֲכִימֵי אֱנוֹשׁ יָמֶיךָ אִם-שְׁנוֹתֶיךָ כִּימֵי גָֽבֶר׃
Are thy days as the days of man? are thy years as man's days,
הֲרֹב דְּבָרִים לֹא יֵעָנֶה וְאִם-אִישׁ שְׂפָתַיִם יִצְדָּֽק׃
Should not the multitude of words be answered? and should a man full of talk be justified?
וְאִישׁ נָבוּב יִלָּבֵב וְעַיִר פֶּרֶא אָדָם יִוָּלֵֽד׃
For vain man would be wise, though man be born like a wild ass's colt.
אֲשֶׁר בְּיָדוֹ נֶפֶשׁ כָּל-חָי וְרוּחַ כָּל-בְּשַׂר-אִֽישׁ׃
In whose hand is the soul of every living thing, and the breath of all mankind.
הֵן יַהֲרוֹס וְלֹא יִבָּנֶה יִסְגֹּר עַל-אִישׁ וְלֹא יִפָּתֵֽחַ׃
Behold, he breaketh down, and it cannot be built again: he shutteth up a man, and there can be no opening.
הֲטוֹב כִּֽי-יַחְקֹר אֶתְכֶם אִם-כְּהָתֵל בֶּאֱנוֹשׁ תְּהָתֵלּוּ בֽוֹ׃
Is it good that he should search you out? or as one man mocketh another, do ye so mock him?
אָדָם יְלוּד אִשָּׁה קְצַר יָמִים וּֽשְׂבַֽע-רֹֽגֶז׃
Man that is born of a woman is of few days, and full of trouble.
וְגֶבֶר יָמוּת וַֽיֶּחֱלָשׁ וַיִּגְוַע אָדָם וְאַיּֽוֹ׃
But man dieth, and wasteth away: yea, man giveth up the ghost, and where is he?
וְאִישׁ שָׁכַב וְֽלֹא-יָקוּם עַד-בִּלְתִּי שָׁמַיִם לֹא יָקִיצוּ וְלֹֽא-יֵעֹרוּ מִשְּׁנָתָֽם׃
So man lieth down, and riseth not: till the heavens be no more, they shall not awake, nor be raised out of their sleep.
אִם-יָמוּת גֶּבֶר הֲיִֽחְיֶה כָּל-יְמֵי צְבָאִי אֲיַחֵל עַד-בּוֹא חֲלִיפָתִֽי׃
If a man die, shall he live again? all the days of my appointed time will I wait, till my change come.
אֲבָנִים׀ שָׁחֲקוּ מַיִם תִּשְׁטֹֽף-סְפִיחֶיהָ עֲפַר-אָרֶץ וְתִקְוַת אֱנוֹשׁ הֶאֱבַֽדְתָּ׃
The waters wear the stones: thou washest away the things which grow out of the dust of the earth; and thou destroyest the hope of man.
הֲרִאישׁוֹן אָדָם תִּוָּלֵד וְלִפְנֵי גְבָעוֹת חוֹלָֽלְתָּ׃
Art thou the first man that was born? or wast thou made before the hills?
מָֽה-אֱנוֹשׁ כִּֽי-יִזְכֶּה וְכִֽי-יִצְדַּק יְלוּד אִשָּֽׁה׃
What is man, that he should be clean? and he which is born of a woman, that he should be righteous?
אַף כִּֽי-נִתְעָב וְֽנֶאֱלָח אִישׁ-שֹׁתֶה כַמַּיִם עַוְלָֽה׃
How much more abominable and filthy is man, which drinketh iniquity like water?
וְיוֹכַח לְגֶבֶר עִם-אֱלוֹהַּ וּֽבֶן-אָדָם לְרֵעֵֽהוּ׃
O that one might plead for a man with God, as a man pleadeth for his neighbour!
הֲזֹאת יָדַעְתָּ מִנִּי-עַד מִנִּי שִׂים אָדָם עֲלֵי-אָֽרֶץ׃
Knowest thou not this of old, since man was placed upon earth,
זֶה׀ חֵֽלֶק-אָדָם רָשָׁע מֵאֱלֹהִים וְנַחֲלַת אִמְרוֹ מֵאֵֽל׃
This is the portion of a wicked man from God, and the heritage appointed unto him by God.
הֶאָנֹכִי לְאָדָם שִׂיחִי וְאִם-מַדּוּעַ לֹא-תִקְצַר רוּחִֽי׃
As for me, is my complaint to man? and if it were so, why should not my spirit be troubled?
מָֽתְקוּ-לוֹ רִגְבֵי נָחַל וְאַחֲרָיו כָּל-אָדָם יִמְשׁוֹךְ וּלְפָנָיו אֵין מִסְפָּֽר׃
The clods of the valley shall be sweet unto him, and every man shall draw after him, as there are innumerable before him.
הַלְאֵל יִסְכָּן-גָּבֶר כִּֽי-יִסְכֹּן עָלֵימוֹ מַשְׂכִּֽיל׃
Can a man be profitable unto God, as he that is wise may be profitable unto himself?
וְאִישׁ זְרוֹעַ לוֹ הָאָרֶץ וּנְשׂוּא פָנִים יֵשֶׁב בָּֽהּ׃
But as for the mighty man, he had the earth; and the honourable man dwelt in it.
וּמַה-יִּצְדַּק אֱנוֹשׁ עִם-אֵל וּמַה-יִּזְכֶּה יְלוּד אִשָּֽׁה׃
How then can man be justified with God? or how can he be clean that is born of a woman?
אַף כִּֽי-אֱנוֹשׁ רִמָּה וּבֶן-אָדָם תּוֹלֵעָֽה׃
How much less man, that is a worm? and the son of man, which is a worm?
זֶה׀ חֵֽלֶק-אָדָם רָשָׁע׀ עִם-אֵל וְֽנַחֲלַת עָרִיצִים מִשַּׁדַּי יִקָּֽחוּ׃
This is the portion of a wicked man with God, and the heritage of oppressors, which they shall receive of the Almighty.
פָּרַץ נַחַל׀ מֵֽעִם-גָּר הַֽנִּשְׁכָּחִים מִנִּי-רָגֶל דַּלּוּ מֵאֱנוֹשׁ נָֽעוּ׃
The flood breaketh out from the inhabitant; even the waters forgotten of the foot: they are dried up, they are gone away from men.
לֹא-יָדַע אֱנוֹשׁ עֶרְכָּהּ וְלֹא תִמָּצֵא בְּאֶרֶץ הַֽחַיִּֽים׃
Man knoweth not the price thereof; neither is it found in the land of the living.
וַיֹּאמֶר׀ לָֽאָדָם הֵן יִרְאַת אֲדֹנָי הִיא חָכְמָה וְסוּר מֵרָע בִּינָֽה׃
And unto man he said, Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom; and to depart from evil is understanding.
מִי יִתֶּן-לִי׀ שֹׁמֵעַֽ לִי הֶן-תָּוִי שַׁדַּי יַעֲנֵנִי וְסֵפֶר כָּתַב אִישׁ רִיבִֽי׃
Oh that one would hear me! behold, my desire is, that the Almighty would answer me, and that mine adversary had written a book.
אִם-כֹּחָהּ אָכַלְתִּי בְלִי-כָסֶף וְנֶפֶשׁ בְּעָלֶיהָ הִפָּֽחְתִּי׃
If I have eaten the fruits thereof without money, or have caused the owners thereof to lose their life:
וַֽיִּשְׁבְּתוּ שְׁלֹשֶׁת הָאֲנָשִׁים הָאֵלֶּה מֵעֲנוֹת אֶת-אִיּוֹב כִּי הוּא צַדִּיק בְּעֵינָֽיו׃
So these three men ceased to answer Job, because he was righteous in his own eyes.
וַיַּרְא אֱלִיהוּא כִּי אֵין מַעֲנֶה בְּפִי שְׁלֹשֶׁת הָאֲנָשִׁים וַיִּחַר אַפּֽוֹ׃
When Elihu saw that there was no answer in the mouth of these three men, then his wrath was kindled.
אָכֵן רֽוּחַ-הִיא בֶאֱנוֹשׁ וְנִשְׁמַת שַׁדַּי תְּבִינֵֽם׃
But there is a spirit in man: and the inspiration of the Almighty giveth them understanding.
פֶּן-תֹּאמְרוּ מָצָאנוּ חָכְמָה אֵל יִדְּפֶנּוּ לֹא-אִֽישׁ׃
Lest ye should say, We have found out wisdom: God thrusteth him down, not man.
אַל-נָא אֶשָּׂא פְנֵי-אִישׁ וְאֶל-אָדָם לֹא אֲכַנֶּֽה׃
Let me not, I pray you, accept any man's person, neither let me give flattering titles unto man.
הֶן-זֹאת לֹא-צָדַקְתָּ אֶעֱנֶךָּ כִּֽי-יִרְבֶּה אֱלוֹהַּ מֵאֱנֽוֹשׁ׃
Behold, in this thou art not just: I will answer thee, that God is greater than man.
בַּחֲלוֹם׀ חֶזְיוֹן לַיְלָה בִּנְפֹל תַּרְדֵּמָה עַל-אֲנָשִׁים בִּתְנוּמוֹת עֲלֵי מִשְׁכָּֽב׃
In a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falleth upon men, in slumberings upon the bed;
אָז יִגְלֶה אֹזֶן אֲנָשִׁים וּבְמֹסָרָם יַחְתֹּֽם׃
Then he openeth the ears of men, and sealeth their instruction,
לְהָסִיר אָדָם מַעֲשֶׂה וְגֵוָה מִגֶּבֶר יְכַסֶּֽה׃
That he may withdraw man from his purpose, and hide pride from man.
אִם-יֵשׁ עָלָיו׀ מַלְאָךְ מֵלִיץ אֶחָד מִנִּי-אָלֶף לְהַגִּיד לְאָדָם יָשְׁרֽוֹ׃
If there be a messenger with him, an interpreter, one among a thousand, to shew unto man his uprightness:
יֶעְתַּר אֶל-אֱלוֹהַּ׀ וַיִּרְצֵהוּ וַיַּרְא פָּנָיו בִּתְרוּעָה וַיָּשֶׁב לֶאֱנוֹשׁ צִדְקָתֽוֹ׃
He shall pray unto God, and he will be favourable unto him: and he shall see his face with joy: for he will render unto man his righteousness.
יָשֹׁר׀ עַל-אֲנָשִׁים וַיֹּאמֶר חָטָאתִי וְיָשָׁר הֶעֱוֵיתִי וְלֹא-שָׁוָה לִֽי׃
He looketh upon men, and if any say, I have sinned, and perverted that which was right, and it profited me not;
הֶן-כָּל-אֵלֶּה יִפְעַל-אֵל פַּעֲמַיִם שָׁלוֹשׁ עִם-גָּֽבֶר׃
Lo, all these things worketh God oftentimes with man,
מִי-גֶבֶר כְּאִיּוֹב יִֽשְׁתֶּה-לַּעַג כַּמָּֽיִם׃
What man is like Job, who drinketh up scorning like water?
וְאָרַח לְחֶבְרָה עִם-פֹּעֲלֵי אָוֶן וְלָלֶכֶת עִם-אַנְשֵׁי-רֶֽשַׁע׃
Which goeth in company with the workers of iniquity, and walketh with wicked men.
כִּֽי-אָמַר לֹא יִסְכָּן-גָּבֶר בִּרְצֹתוֹ עִם-אֱלֹהִֽים׃
For he hath said, It profiteth a man nothing that he should delight himself with God.
לָכֵן׀ אַנֲשֵׁי לֵבָב שִׁמְעוּ לִי חָלִלָה לָאֵל מֵרֶשַׁע וְשַׁדַּי מֵעָֽוֶל׃
Therefore hearken unto me, ye men of understanding: far be it from God, that he should do wickedness; and from the Almighty, that he should commit iniquity.
כִּי פֹעַל אָדָם יְשַׁלֶּם-לוֹ וּֽכְאֹרַח אִישׁ יַמְצִאֶֽנּוּ׃
For the work of a man shall he render unto him, and cause every man to find according to his ways.
יִגְוַע כָּל-בָּשָׂר יָחַד וְאָדָם עַל-עָפָר יָשֽׁוּב׃
All flesh shall perish together, and man shall turn again unto dust.
כִּי-עֵינָיו עַל-דַּרְכֵי-אִישׁ וְֽכָל-צְעָדָיו יִרְאֶֽה׃
For his eyes are upon the ways of man, and he seeth all his goings.
כִּי לֹא עַל-אִישׁ יָשִׂים עוֹד לַהֲלֹךְ אֶל-אֵל בַּמִּשְׁפָּֽט׃
For he will not lay upon man more than right; that he should enter into judgment with God.
וְהוּא יַשְׁקִט׀ וּמִי יַרְשִׁעַ וְיַסְתֵּר פָּנִים וּמִי יְשׁוּרֶנּוּ וְעַל-גּוֹי וְעַל-אָדָם יָֽחַד׃
When he giveth quietness, who then can make trouble? and when he hideth his face, who then can behold him? whether it be done against a nation, or against a man only:
מִמְּלֹךְ אָדָם חָנֵף מִמֹּקְשֵׁי עָֽם׃
That the hypocrite reign not, lest the people be ensnared.
אַנְשֵׁי לֵבָב יֹאמְרוּ לִי וְגֶבֶר חָכָם שֹׁמֵעַֽ לִֽי׃
Let men of understanding tell me, and let a wise man hearken unto me.
אָבִי יִבָּחֵן אִיּוֹב עַד-נֶצַח עַל-תְּשֻׁבֹת בְּאַנְשֵׁי-אָֽוֶן׃
My desire is that Job may be tried unto the end because of his answers for wicked men.
לְאִישׁ-כָּמוֹךָ רִשְׁעֶךָ וּלְבֶן-אָדָם צִדְקָתֶֽךָ׃
Thy wickedness may hurt a man as thou art; and thy righteousness may profit the son of man.
זְכֹר כִּֽי-תַשְׂגִּיא פָעֳלוֹ אֲשֶׁר שֹׁרְרוּ אֲנָשִֽׁים׃
Remember that thou magnify his work, which men behold.
כָּל-אָדָם חָֽזוּ-בוֹ אֱנוֹשׁ יַבִּיט מֵרָחֽוֹק׃
Every man may see it; man may behold it afar off.
אֲשֶֽׁר-יִזְּלוּ שְׁחָקִים יִרְעֲפוּ עֲלֵי׀ אָדָם רָֽב׃
Which the clouds do drop and distil upon man abundantly.
בְּיַד-כָּל-אָדָם יַחְתּוֹם לָדַעַת כָּל-אַנְשֵׁי מַעֲשֵֽׂהוּ׃
He sealeth up the hand of every man; that all men may know his work.
הַֽיְסֻפַּר-לוֹ כִּי אֲדַבֵּר אִֽם-אָמַר אִישׁ כִּי יְבֻלָּֽע׃
Shall it be told him that I speak? if a man speak, surely he shall be swallowed up.
לָכֵן יְרֵאוּהוּ אֲנָשִׁים לֹֽא-יִרְאֶה כָּל-חַכְמֵי-לֵֽב׃
Men do therefore fear him: he respecteth not any that are wise of heart.
אֱזָר-נָא כְגֶבֶר חֲלָצֶיךָ וְאֶשְׁאָלְךָ וְהוֹדִיעֵֽנִי׃
Gird up now thy loins like a man; for I will demand of thee, and answer thou me.
לְהַמְטִיר עַל-אֶרֶץ לֹא-אִישׁ מִדְבָּר לֹא-אָדָם בּֽוֹ׃
To cause it to rain on the earth, where no man is; on the wilderness, wherein there is no man;
אֱזָר-נָא כְגֶבֶר חֲלָצֶיךָ אֶשְׁאָלְךָ וְהוֹדִיעֵֽנִי׃
Gird up thy loins now like a man: I will demand of thee, and declare thou unto me.
אִישׁ-בְּאָחִיהוּ יְדֻבָּקוּ יִתְלַכְּדוּ וְלֹא יִתְפָּרָֽדוּ׃
They are joined one to another, they stick together, that they cannot be sundered.
וַיָּבֹאוּ אֵלָיו כָּל-אֶחָיו וְכָל-(אחיתיו) אַחְיוֹתָיו וְכָל-יֹדְעָיו לְפָנִים וַיֹּאכְלוּ עִמּוֹ לֶחֶם בְּבֵיתוֹ וַיָּנֻדוּ לוֹ וַיְנַחֲמוּ אֹתוֹ עַל כָּל-הָרָעָה אֲשֶׁר-הֵבִיא יְהוָה עָלָיו וַיִּתְּנוּ-לוֹ אִישׁ קְשִׂיטָה אֶחָת וְאִישׁ נֶזֶם זָהָב אֶחָֽד׃
Then came there unto him all his brethren, and all his sisters, and all they that had been of his acquaintance before, and did eat bread with him in his house: and they bemoaned him, and comforted him over all the evil that the LORD had brought upon him: every man also gave him a piece of money, and every one an earring of gold.
אַשְֽׁרֵי הָאִישׁ אֲשֶׁר׀ לֹא הָלַךְ בַּעֲצַת רְשָׁעִים וּבְדֶרֶךְ חַטָּאִים לֹא עָמָד וּבְמוֹשַׁב לֵצִים לֹא יָשָֽׁב׃
Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.
בְּנֵי אִישׁ עַד-מֶה כְבוֹדִי לִכְלִמָּה תֶּאֱהָבוּן רִיק תְּבַקְשׁוּ כָזָב סֶֽלָה׃
O ye sons of men, how long will ye turn my glory into shame? how long will ye love vanity, and seek after leasing? Selah.
תְּאַבֵּד דֹּבְרֵי כָזָב אִישׁ-דָּמִים וּמִרְמָה יְתָעֵב׀ יְהוָֽה׃
Thou shalt destroy them that speak leasing: the LORD will abhor the bloody and deceitful man.
מָֽה-אֱנוֹשׁ כִּֽי-תִזְכְּרֶנּוּ וּבֶן-אָדָם כִּי תִפְקְדֶֽנּוּ׃
What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him?
קוּמָה יְהוָה אַל-יָעֹז אֱנוֹשׁ יִשָּׁפְטוּ גוֹיִם עַל-פָּנֶֽיךָ׃
Arise, O LORD; let not man prevail: let the heathen be judged in thy sight.
שִׁיתָה יְהוָה׀ מוֹרָה לָהֶם יֵדְעוּ גוֹיִם אֱנוֹשׁ הֵמָּה סֶּֽלָה׃
Put them in fear, O LORD: that the nations may know themselves to be but men. Selah.
לִשְׁפֹּט יָתוֹם וָדָךְ בַּל-יוֹסִיף עוֹד לַעֲרֹץ אֱנוֹשׁ מִן-הָאָֽרֶץ׃
To judge the fatherless and the oppressed, that the man of the earth may no more oppress.
יְהוָה׀ בְּֽהֵיכַל קָדְשׁוֹ יְהוָה בַּשָּׁמַיִם כִּסְאוֹ עֵינָיו יֶחֱזוּ עַפְעַפָּיו יִבְחֲנוּ בְּנֵי אָדָֽם׃
The LORD is in his holy temple, the LORD's throne is in heaven: his eyes behold, his eyelids try, the children of men.
הוֹשִׁיעָה יְהוָה כִּי-גָמַר חָסִיד כִּי-פַסּוּ אֱמוּנִים מִבְּנֵי אָדָֽם׃
Help, LORD; for the godly man ceaseth; for the faithful fail from among the children of men.
שָׁוְא׀ יְֽדַבְּרוּ אִישׁ אֶת-רֵעֵהוּ שְׂפַת חֲלָקוֹת בְּלֵב וָלֵב יְדַבֵּֽרוּ׃
They speak vanity every one with his neighbour: with flattering lips and with a double heart do they speak.
סָבִיב רְשָׁעִים יִתְהַלָּכוּן כְּרֻם זֻלּוּת לִבְנֵי אָדָֽם׃
The wicked walk on every side, when the vilest men are exalted.
יְֽהוָה מִשָּׁמַיִם הִשְׁקִיף עַֽל-בְּנֵי-אָדָם לִרְאוֹת הֲיֵשׁ מַשְׂכִּיל דֹּרֵשׁ אֶת-אֱלֹהִֽים׃
The LORD looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, and seek God.
לִפְעֻלּוֹת אָדָם בִּדְבַר שְׂפָתֶיךָ אֲנִי שָׁמַרְתִּי אָרְחוֹת פָּרִֽיץ׃
Concerning the works of men, by the word of thy lips I have kept me from the paths of the destroyer.
מְפַלְּטִי מֵאֹיְבָי אַף מִן-קָמַי תְּרוֹמְמֵנִי מֵאִישׁ חָמָס תַּצִּילֵֽנִי׃
He delivereth me from mine enemies: yea, thou liftest me up above those that rise up against me: thou hast delivered me from the violent man.
פִּרְיָמוֹ מֵאֶרֶץ תְּאַבֵּד וְזַרְעָם מִבְּנֵי אָדָֽם׃
Their fruit shalt thou destroy from the earth, and their seed from among the children of men.
וְאָנֹכִי תוֹלַעַת וְלֹא-אִישׁ חֶרְפַּת אָדָם וּבְזוּי עָֽם׃
But I am a worm, and no man; a reproach of men, and despised of the people.
מִי-זֶה הָאִישׁ יְרֵא יְהוָה יוֹרֶנּוּ בְּדֶרֶךְ יִבְחָֽר׃
What man is he that feareth the LORD? him shall he teach in the way that he shall choose.
אַל-תֶּאֱסֹף עִם-חַטָּאִים נַפְשִׁי וְעִם-אַנְשֵׁי דָמִים חַיָּֽי׃
Gather not my soul with sinners, nor my life with bloody men:
מָה רַֽב-טוּבְךָ אֲשֶׁר-צָפַנְתָּ לִּֽירֵאֶיךָ פָּעַלְתָּ לַחֹסִים בָּךְ נֶגֶד בְּנֵי אָדָם׃
Oh how great is thy goodness, which thou hast laid up for them that fear thee; which thou hast wrought for them that trust in thee before the sons of men!
תַּסְתִּירֵם׀ בְּסֵתֶר פָּנֶיךָ מֵֽרֻכְסֵי אִישׁ תִּצְפְּנֵם בְּסֻכָּה מֵרִיב לְשֹׁנֽוֹת׃
Thou shalt hide them in the secret of thy presence from the pride of man: thou shalt keep them secretly in a pavilion from the strife of tongues.
אַשְֽׁרֵי אָדָם לֹא יַחְשֹׁב יְהוָה לוֹ עָוֹן וְאֵין בְּרוּחוֹ רְמִיָּה׃
Blessed is the man unto whom the LORD imputeth not iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no guile.
מִשָּׁמַיִם הִבִּיט יְהוָה רָאָה אֶֽת-כָּל-בְּנֵי הָאָדָֽם׃
The LORD looketh from heaven; he beholdeth all the sons of men.
טַעֲמוּ וּרְאוּ כִּי-טוֹב יְהוָה אַֽשְׁרֵי הַגֶּבֶר יֶחֱסֶה-בּֽוֹ׃
O taste and see that the LORD is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him.
מִֽי-הָאִישׁ הֶחָפֵץ חַיִּים אֹהֵב יָמִים לִרְאוֹת טֽוֹב׃
What man is he that desireth life, and loveth many days, that he may see good?
צִדְקָֽתְךָ׀ כְּֽהַרְרֵי-אֵל מִשְׁפָּטֶיךָ תְּהוֹם רַבָּה אָדָֽם וּבְהֵמָה תוֹשִׁיעַ יְהוָֽה׃
Thy righteousness is like the great mountains; thy judgments are a great deep: O LORD, thou preservest man and beast.
מַה-יָּקָר חַסְדְּךָ אֱלֹהִים וּבְנֵי אָדָם בְּצֵל כְּנָפֶיךָ יֶחֱסָיֽוּן׃
How excellent is thy lovingkindness, O God! therefore the children of men put their trust under the shadow of thy wings.
דּוֹם׀ לַיהוָה וְהִתְחוֹלֵל לוֹ אַל-תִּתְחַר בְּמַצְלִיחַ דַּרְכּוֹ בְּאִישׁ עֹשֶׂה מְזִמּֽוֹת׃
Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass.
מֵיְהוָה מִֽצְעֲדֵי-גֶבֶר כּוֹנָנוּ וְדַרְכּוֹ יֶחְפָּֽץ׃
The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way.
שְׁמָר-תָּם וּרְאֵה יָשָׁר כִּֽי-אַחֲרִית לְאִישׁ שָׁלֽוֹם׃
Mark the perfect man, and behold the upright: for the end of that man is peace.
וָאֱהִי כְּאִישׁ אֲשֶׁר לֹא-שֹׁמֵעַ וְאֵין בְּפִיו תּוֹכָחֽוֹת׃
Thus I was as a man that heareth not, and in whose mouth are no reproofs.
