הִנֵּה טְפָחוֹת׀ נָתַתָּה יָמַי וְחֶלְדִּי כְאַיִן נֶגְדֶּךָ אַךְ כָּֽל-הֶבֶל כָּל-אָדָם נִצָּב סֶֽלָה׃
Behold, thou hast made my days as an handbreadth; and mine age is as nothing before thee: verily every man at his best state is altogether vanity. Selah.
אַךְ-בְּצֶלֶם׀ יִֽתְהַלֶּךְ-אִישׁ אַךְ-הֶבֶל יֶהֱמָיוּן יִצְבֹּר וְֽלֹא-יֵדַע מִי-אֹסְפָֽם׃
Surely every man walketh in a vain shew: surely they are disquieted in vain: he heapeth up riches, and knoweth not who shall gather them.
בְּֽתוֹכָחוֹת עַל-עָוֹן׀ יִסַּרְתָּ אִישׁ וַתֶּמֶס כָּעָשׁ חֲמוּדוֹ אַךְ הֶבֶל כָּל-אָדָם סֶֽלָה׃
When thou with rebukes dost correct man for iniquity, thou makest his beauty to consume away like a moth: surely every man is vanity. Selah.
אַשְֽׁרֵי הַגֶּבֶר אֲשֶׁר-שָׂם יְהוָֹה מִבְטַחוֹ וְֽלֹא-פָנָה אֶל-רְהָבִים וְשָׂטֵי כָזָֽב׃
Blessed is that man that maketh the LORD his trust, and respecteth not the proud, nor such as turn aside to lies.
גַּם-אִישׁ שְׁלוֹמִי׀ אֲשֶׁר-בָּטַחְתִּי בוֹ אוֹכֵל לַחְמִי הִגְדִּיל עָלַי עָקֵֽב׃
Yea, mine own familiar friend, in whom I trusted, which did eat of my bread, hath lifted up his heel against me.
שָׁפְטֵנִי אֱלֹהִים׀ וְרִיבָה רִיבִי מִגּוֹי לֹא-חָסִיד מֵאִישׁ מִרְמָה וְעַוְלָה תְפַלְּטֵֽנִי׃
Judge me, O God, and plead my cause against an ungodly nation: O deliver me from the deceitful and unjust man.
יָפְיָפִיתָ מִבְּנֵי אָדָם הוּצַק חֵן בְּשְׂפְתוֹתֶיךָ עַל-כֵּן בֵּֽרַכְךָ אֱלֹהִים לְעוֹלָֽם׃
Thou art fairer than the children of men: grace is poured into thy lips: therefore God hath blessed thee for ever.
גַּם-בְּנֵי אָדָם גַּם-בְּנֵי-אִישׁ יַחַד עָשִׁיר וְאֶבְיֽוֹן׃
Both low and high, rich and poor, together.
אָח לֹא-פָדֹה יִפְדֶּה אִישׁ לֹא-יִתֵּן לֵאלֹהִים כָּפְרֽוֹ׃
None of them can by any means redeem his brother, nor give to God a ransom for him:
וְאָדָם בִּיקָר בַּל-יָלִין נִמְשַׁל כַּבְּהֵמוֹת נִדְמֽוּ׃
Nevertheless man being in honour abideth not: he is like the beasts that perish.
אַל-תִּירָא כִּֽי-יַעֲשִׁר אִישׁ כִּֽי-יִרְבֶּה כְּבוֹד בֵּיתֽוֹ׃
Be not thou afraid when one is made rich, when the glory of his house is increased;
אָדָם בִּיקָר וְלֹא יָבִין נִמְשַׁל כַּבְּהֵמוֹת נִדְמֽוּ׃
Man that is in honour, and understandeth not, is like the beasts that perish.
הִנֵּה הַגֶּבֶר לֹא יָשִׂים אֱלֹהִים מָֽעוּזּוֹ וַיִּבְטַח בְּרֹב עָשְׁרוֹ יָעֹז בְּהַוָּתֽוֹ׃
Lo, this is the man that made not God his strength; but trusted in the abundance of his riches, and strengthened himself in his wickedness.
אֱֽלֹהִים מִשָּׁמַיִם הִשְׁקִיף עַֽל-בְּנֵי-אָדָם לִרְאוֹת הֲיֵשׁ מַשְׂכִּיל דֹּרֵשׁ אֶת-אֱלֹהִֽים׃
God looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, that did seek God.
וְאַתָּה אֱנוֹשׁ כְּעֶרְכִּי אַלּוּפִי וּמְיֻדָּֽעִי׃
But it was thou, a man mine equal, my guide, and mine acquaintance.
וְאַתָּה אֱלֹהִים׀ תּוֹרִדֵם׀ לִבְאֵר שַׁחַת אַנְשֵׁי דָמִים וּמִרְמָה לֹא-יֶחֱצוּ יְמֵיהֶם וַאֲנִי אֶבְטַח-בָּֽךְ׃
But thou, O God, shalt bring them down into the pit of destruction: bloody and deceitful men shall not live out half their days; but I will trust in thee.
חָנֵּנִי אֱלֹהִים כִּֽי-שְׁאָפַנִי אֱנוֹשׁ כָּל-הַיּוֹם לֹחֵם יִלְחָצֵֽנִי׃
Be merciful unto me, O God: for man would swallow me up; he fighting daily oppresseth me.
בֵּֽאלֹהִים בָּטַחְתִּי לֹא אִירָא מַה-יַּעֲשֶׂה אָדָם לִֽי׃
In God have I put my trust: I will not be afraid what man can do unto me.
נַפְשִׁי׀ בְּתוֹךְ לְבָאִם אֶשְׁכְּבָה לֹהֲטִים בְּֽנֵי-אָדָם שִׁנֵּיהֶם חֲנִית וְחִצִּים וּלְשׁוֹנָם חֶרֶב חַדָּֽה׃
My soul is among lions: and I lie even among them that are set on fire, even the sons of men, whose teeth are spears and arrows, and their tongue a sharp sword.
הַֽאֻמְנָם אֵלֶם צֶדֶק תְּדַבֵּרוּן מֵישָׁרִים תִּשְׁפְּטוּ בְּנֵי אָדָֽם׃
Do ye indeed speak righteousness, O congregation? do ye judge uprightly, O ye sons of men?
וְיֹאמַר אָדָם אַךְ-פְּרִי לַצַּדִּיק אַךְ יֵשׁ-אֱלֹהִים שֹׁפְטִים בָּאָֽרֶץ׃
So that a man shall say, Verily there is a reward for the righteous: verily he is a God that judgeth in the earth.
הַצִּילֵנִי מִפֹּעֲלֵי אָוֶן וּֽמֵאַנְשֵׁי דָמִים הוֹשִׁיעֵֽנִי׃
Deliver me from the workers of iniquity, and save me from bloody men.
הָֽבָה-לָּנוּ עֶזְרָת מִצָּר וְשָׁוְא תְּשׁוּעַת אָדָם׃
Give us help from trouble: for vain is the help of man.
עַד-אָנָה׀ תְּהֽוֹתְתוּ עַל-אִישׁ תְּרָצְּחוּ כֻלְּכֶם כְּקִיר נָטוּי גָּדֵר הַדְּחוּיָֽה׃
How long will ye imagine mischief against a man? ye shall be slain all of you: as a bowing wall shall ye be, and as a tottering fence.
אַךְ׀ הֶבֶל בְּנֵֽי-אָדָם כָּזָב בְּנֵי אִישׁ בְּמֹאזְנַיִם לַעֲלוֹת הֵמָּה מֵהֶבֶל יָֽחַד׃
Surely men of low degree are vanity, and men of high degree are a lie: to be laid in the balance, they are altogether lighter than vanity.
וּלְךָֽ-אֲדֹנָי חָסֶד כִּֽי-אַתָּה תְשַׁלֵּם לְאִישׁ כְּֽמַעֲשֵֽׂהוּ׃
Also unto thee, O Lord, belongeth mercy: for thou renderest to every man according to his work.
יַֽחְפְּֽשׂוּ-עוֹלֹת תַּמְנוּ חֵפֶשׂ מְחֻפָּשׂ וְקֶרֶב אִישׁ וְלֵב עָמֹֽק׃
They search out iniquities; they accomplish a diligent search: both the inward thought of every one of them, and the heart, is deep.
וַיִּֽירְאוּ כָּל-אָדָם וַיַּגִּידוּ פֹּעַל אֱלֹהִים וּֽמַעֲשֵׂהוּ הִשְׂכִּֽילוּ׃
And all men shall fear, and shall declare the work of God; for they shall wisely consider of his doing.
לְכוּ וּרְאוּ מִפְעֲלוֹת אֱלֹהִים נוֹרָא עֲלִילָה עַל-בְּנֵי אָדָֽם׃
Come and see the works of God: he is terrible in his doing toward the children of men.
הִרְכַּבְתָּ אֱנוֹשׁ לְרֹאשֵׁנוּ בָּֽאנוּ-בָאֵשׁ וּבַמַּיִם וַתּוֹצִיאֵנוּ לָֽרְוָיָֽה׃
Thou hast caused men to ride over our heads; we went through fire and through water: but thou broughtest us out into a wealthy place.
עָלִיתָ לַמָּרוֹם׀ שָׁבִיתָ שֶּׁבִי לָקַחְתָּ מַתָּנוֹת בָּאָדָם וְאַף סוֹרְרִים לִשְׁכֹּן׀ יָהּ אֱלֹהִֽים׃
Thou hast ascended on high, thou hast led captivity captive: thou hast received gifts for men; yea, for the rebellious also, that the LORD God might dwell among them.
בַּעֲמַל אֱנוֹשׁ אֵינֵמוֹ וְעִם-אָדָם לֹא יְנֻגָּֽעוּ׃
They are not in trouble as other men; neither are they plagued like other men.
אֶשְׁתּוֹלְלוּ׀ אַבִּירֵי לֵב נָמוּ שְׁנָתָם וְלֹא-מָצְאוּ כָל-אַנְשֵׁי-חַיִל יְדֵיהֶֽם׃
The stouthearted are spoiled, they have slept their sleep: and none of the men of might have found their hands.
כִּֽי-חֲמַת אָדָם תּוֹדֶךָּ שְׁאֵרִית חֵמֹת תַּחְגֹּֽר׃
Surely the wrath of man shall praise thee: the remainder of wrath shalt thou restrain.
לֶחֶם אַבִּירִים אָכַל אִישׁ צֵידָה שָׁלַח לָהֶם לָשֹֽׂבַע׃
Man did eat angels' food: he sent them meat to the full.
וַיִּטֹּשׁ מִשְׁכַּן שִׁלוֹ אֹהֶל שִׁכֵּן בָּאָדָֽם׃
So that he forsook the tabernacle of Shiloh, the tent which he placed among men;
תְּֽהִי-יָדְךָ עַל-אִישׁ יְמִינֶךָ עַל-בֶּן-אָדָם אִמַּצְתָּ לָּֽךְ׃
Let thy hand be upon the man of thy right hand, upon the son of man whom thou madest strong for thyself.
אָכֵן כְּאָדָם תְּמוּתוּן וּכְאַחַד הַשָּׂרִים תִּפֹּֽלוּ׃
But ye shall die like men, and fall like one of the princes.
אַשְׁרֵי אָדָם עֽוֹז-לוֹ בָךְ מְסִלּוֹת בִּלְבָבָֽם׃
Blessed is the man whose strength is in thee; in whose heart are the ways of them.
יְהוָה צְבָאוֹת אַֽשְׁרֵי אָדָם בֹּטֵחַ בָּֽךְ׃
O LORD of hosts, blessed is the man that trusteth in thee.
וּֽלֲצִיּוֹן׀ יֵאָמַר אִישׁ וְאִישׁ יֻלַּד-בָּהּ וְהוּא יְכוֹנְנֶהָ עֶלְיֽוֹן׃
And of Zion it shall be said, This and that man was born in her: and the highest himself shall establish her.
נֶחְשַׁבְתִּי עִם-יוֹרְדֵי בוֹר הָיִיתִי כְּגֶבֶר אֵֽין-אֱיָֽל׃
I am counted with them that go down into the pit: I am as a man that hath no strength:
זְכָר-אֲנִי מֶה-חָלֶד עַל-מַה-שָּׁוְא בָּרָאתָ כָל-בְּנֵי-אָדָֽם׃
Remember how short my time is: wherefore hast thou made all men in vain?
מִי גֶבֶר יִֽחְיֶה וְלֹא יִרְאֶה-מָּוֶת יְמַלֵּט נַפְשׁוֹ מִיַּד-שְׁאוֹל סֶֽלָה׃
What man is he that liveth, and shall not see death? shall he deliver his soul from the hand of the grave? Selah.
תָּשֵׁב אֱנוֹשׁ עַד-דַּכָּא וַתֹּאמֶר שׁוּבוּ בְנֵי-אָדָֽם׃
Thou turnest man to destruction; and sayest, Return, ye children of men.
אִֽישׁ-בַּעַר לֹא יֵדָע וּכְסִיל לֹא-יָבִין אֶת-זֹֽאת׃
A brutish man knoweth not; neither doth a fool understand this.
הֲיֹסֵר גּוֹיִם הֲלֹא יוֹכִיחַ הַֽמְלַמֵּד אָדָם דָּֽעַת׃
He that chastiseth the heathen, shall not he correct? he that teacheth man knowledge, shall not he know?
יְֽהוָה יֹדֵעַ מַחְשְׁבוֹת אָדָם כִּי-הֵמָּה הָֽבֶל׃
The LORD knoweth the thoughts of man, that they are vanity.
אַשְׁרֵי׀ הַגֶּבֶר אֲשֶׁר-תְּיַסְּרֶנּוּ יָּהּ וּֽמִתּוֹרָתְךָ תְלַמְּדֶֽנּוּ׃
Blessed is the man whom thou chastenest, O LORD, and teachest him out of thy law;
אֱנוֹשׁ כֶּחָצִיר יָמָיו כְּצִיץ הַשָּׂדֶה כֵּן יָצִֽיץ׃
As for man, his days are as grass: as a flower of the field, so he flourisheth.
מַצְמִיחַ חָצִיר׀ לַבְּהֵמָה וְעֵשֶׂב לַעֲבֹדַת הָאָדָם לְהוֹצִיא לֶחֶם מִן-הָאָֽרֶץ׃
He causeth the grass to grow for the cattle, and herb for the service of man: that he may bring forth food out of the earth;
וְיַיִן׀ יְשַׂמַּח לְֽבַב-אֱנוֹשׁ לְהַצְהִיל פָּנִים מִשָּׁמֶן וְלֶחֶם לְֽבַב-אֱנוֹשׁ יִסְעָֽד׃
And wine that maketh glad the heart of man, and oil to make his face to shine, and bread which strengtheneth man's heart.
יֵצֵא אָדָם לְפָעֳלוֹ וְֽלַעֲבֹדָתוֹ עֲדֵי-עָֽרֶב׃
Man goeth forth unto his work and to his labour until the evening.
לֹֽא-הִנִּיחַ אָדָם לְעָשְׁקָם וַיּוֹכַח עֲלֵיהֶם מְלָכִֽים׃
He suffered no man to do them wrong: yea, he reproved kings for their sakes;
שָׁלַח לִפְנֵיהֶם אִישׁ לְעֶבֶד נִמְכַּר יוֹסֵֽף׃
He sent a man before them, even Joseph, who was sold for a servant:
יוֹדוּ לַיהוָה חַסְדּוֹ וְנִפְלְאוֹתָיו לִבְנֵי אָדָֽם׃
Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!

הָֽבָה-לָּנוּ עֶזְרָת מִצָּר וְשָׁוְא תְּשׁוּעַת אָדָֽם׃

יַעַן אֲשֶׁר׀ לֹא זָכַר עֲשׂוֹת חָסֶד וַיִּרְדֹּף אִישׁ-עָנִי וְאֶבְיוֹן וְנִכְאֵה לֵבָב לְמוֹתֵֽת׃
Because that he remembered not to shew mercy, but persecuted the poor and needy man, that he might even slay the broken in heart.
הַלְלוּ יָהּ׀ אַשְׁרֵי-אִישׁ יָרֵא אֶת-יְהוָה בְּמִצְוֹתָיו חָפֵץ מְאֹֽד׃
Praise ye the LORD. Blessed is the man that feareth the LORD, that delighteth greatly in his commandments.
טֽוֹב-אִישׁ חוֹנֵן וּמַלְוֶה יְכַלְכֵּל דְּבָרָיו בְּמִשְׁפָּֽט׃
A good man sheweth favour, and lendeth: he will guide his affairs with discretion.
עֲֽצַבֵּיהֶם כֶּסֶף וְזָהָב מַעֲשֵׂה יְדֵי אָדָֽם׃
Their idols are silver and gold, the work of men's hands.
הַשָּׁמַיִם שָׁמַיִם לַיהוָה וְהָאָרֶץ נָתַן לִבְנֵי-אָדָֽם׃
The heaven, even the heavens, are the LORD's: but the earth hath he given to the children of men.
יְהוָה לִי לֹא אִירָא מַה-יַּעֲשֶׂה לִי אָדָֽם׃
The LORD is on my side; I will not fear: what can man do unto me?
טוֹב לַחֲסוֹת בַּיהוָה מִבְּטֹחַ בָּאָדָֽם׃
It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man.
גַּֽם-עֵדֹתֶיךָ שַׁעֲשֻׁעָי אַנְשֵׁי עֲצָתִֽי׃
Thy testimonies also are my delight and my counsellers.
פְּדֵנִי מֵעֹשֶׁק אָדָם וְאֶשְׁמְרָה פִּקּוּדֶֽיךָ׃
Deliver me from the oppression of man: so will I keep thy precepts.
לוּלֵי יְהוָה שֶׁהָיָה לָנוּ בְּקוּם עָלֵינוּ אָדָֽם׃
If it had not been the LORD who was on our side, when men rose up against us:
אַשְׁרֵי הַגֶּבֶר אֲשֶׁר מִלֵּא אֶת-אַשְׁפָּתוֹ מֵהֶם לֹֽא-יֵבֹשׁוּ כִּֽי-יְדַבְּרוּ אֶת-אוֹיְבִים בַּשָּֽׁעַר׃
Happy is the man that hath his quiver full of them: they shall not be ashamed, but they shall speak with the enemies in the gate.
הִנֵּה כִי-כֵן יְבֹרַךְ גָּבֶר יְרֵא יְהוָֽה׃
Behold, that thus shall the man be blessed that feareth the LORD.
שֶֽׁהִכָּה בְּכוֹרֵי מִצְרָיִם מֵאָדָם עַד-בְּהֵמָֽה׃
Who smote the firstborn of Egypt, both of man and beast.
עֲצַבֵּי הַגּוֹיִם כֶּסֶף וְזָהָב מַעֲשֵׂה יְדֵי אָדָֽם׃
The idols of the heathen are silver and gold, the work of men's hands.
אִם-תִּקְטֹל אֱלוֹהַּ׀ רָשָׁע וְאַנְשֵׁי דָמִים סוּרוּ מֶֽנִּי׃
Surely thou wilt slay the wicked, O God: depart from me therefore, ye bloody men.
חַלְּצֵנִי יְהוָה מֵאָדָם רָע מֵאִישׁ חֲמָסִים תִּנְצְרֵֽנִי׃
Deliver me, O LORD, from the evil man: preserve me from the violent man;
שָׁמְרֵנִי יְהוָה׀ מִידֵי רָשָׁע מֵאִישׁ חֲמָסִים תִּנְצְרֵנִי אֲשֶׁר חָשְׁבוּ לִדְחוֹת פְּעָמָֽי׃
Keep me, O LORD, from the hands of the wicked; preserve me from the violent man; who have purposed to overthrow my goings.
אִישׁ לָשׁוֹן בַּל-יִכּוֹן בָּאָרֶץ אִישׁ-חָמָס רָע יְצוּדֶנּוּ לְמַדְחֵפֹֽת׃
Let not an evil speaker be established in the earth: evil shall hunt the violent man to overthrow him.
אַל-תַּט-לִבִּי לְדָבָר׀ רָע לְהִתְעוֹלֵל עֲלִלוֹת׀ בְּרֶשַׁע אֶת-אִישִׁים פֹּֽעֲלֵי-אָוֶן וּבַל-אֶלְחַם בְּמַנְעַמֵּיהֶֽם׃
Incline not my heart to any evil thing, to practise wicked works with men that work iniquity: and let me not eat of their dainties.
יְֽהוָה מָה-אָדָם וַתֵּדָעֵהוּ בֶּן-אֱנוֹשׁ וַֽתְּחַשְּׁבֵֽהוּ׃
LORD, what is man, that thou takest knowledge of him! or the son of man, that thou makest account of him!
אָדָם לַהֶבֶל דָּמָה יָמָיו כְּצֵל עוֹבֵֽר׃
Man is like to vanity: his days are as a shadow that passeth away.
לְהוֹדִיעַ׀ לִבְנֵי הָאָדָם גְּבוּרֹתָיו וּכְבוֹד הֲדַר מַלְכוּתֽוֹ׃
To make known to the sons of men his mighty acts, and the glorious majesty of his kingdom.
אַל-תִּבְטְחוּ בִנְדִיבִים בְּבֶן-אָדָם׀ שֶׁאֵֽין לוֹ תְשׁוּעָֽה׃
Put not your trust in princes, nor in the son of man, in whom there is no help.
לֹא בִגְבוּרַת הַסּוּס יֶחְפָּץ לֹֽא-בְשׁוֹקֵי הָאִישׁ יִרְצֶֽה׃
He delighteth not in the strength of the horse: he taketh not pleasure in the legs of a man.
כִּֽי-חִנָּם מְזֹרָה הָרָשֶׁת בְּעֵינֵי כָל-בַּעַל כָּנָֽף׃
Surely in vain the net is spread in the sight of any bird.
כֵּן אָרְחוֹת כָּל-בֹּצֵֽעַ בָּצַע אֶת-נֶפֶשׁ בְּעָלָיו יִקָּֽח׃
So are the ways of every one that is greedy of gain; which taketh away the life of the owners thereof.
לְהַצִּילְךָ מִדֶּרֶךְ רָע מֵאִישׁ מְדַבֵּר תַּהְפֻּכֽוֹת׃
To deliver thee from the way of the evil man, from the man that speaketh froward things;
וּמְצָא-חֵן וְשֵֽׂכֶל-טוֹב בְּעֵינֵי אֱלֹהִים וְאָדָֽם׃
So shalt thou find favour and good understanding in the sight of God and man.
אַשְׁרֵי אָדָם מָצָא חָכְמָה וְאָדָם יָפִיק תְּבוּנָֽה׃
Happy is the man that findeth wisdom, and the man that getteth understanding.
אַל-תִּמְנַע-טוֹב מִבְּעָלָיו בִּהְיוֹת לְאֵל (ידיך) יָדְךָ לַעֲשֽׂוֹת׃
Withhold not good from them to whom it is due, when it is in the power of thine hand to do it.
אַל-(תרוב) תָּרִיב עִם-אָדָם חִנָּם אִם-לֹא גְמָלְךָ רָעָֽה׃
Strive not with a man without cause, if he have done thee no harm.
אַל-תְּקַנֵּא בְּאִישׁ חָמָס וְאַל-תִּבְחַר בְּכָל-דְּרָכָֽיו׃
Envy thou not the oppressor, and choose none of his ways.
כִּי נֹכַח׀ עֵינֵי יְהוָה דַּרְכֵי-אִישׁ וְֽכָל-מַעְגְּלֹתָיו מְפַלֵּֽס׃
For the ways of man are before the eyes of the LORD, and he pondereth all his goings.
וּבָֽא-כִמְהַלֵּךְ רֵאשֶׁךָ וּמַחְסֹֽרְךָ כְּאִישׁ מָגֵֽן׃
So shall thy poverty come as one that travelleth, and thy want as an armed man.
אָדָם בְּלִיַּעַל אִישׁ אָוֶן הוֹלֵךְ עִקְּשׁוּת פֶּֽה׃
A naughty person, a wicked man, walketh with a froward mouth.
כִּי בְעַד-אִשָּׁה זוֹנָה עַֽד-כִּכַּר לָחֶם וְאֵשֶׁת אִישׁ נֶפֶשׁ יְקָרָה תָצֽוּד׃
For by means of a whorish woman a man is brought to a piece of bread: and the adulteress will hunt for the precious life.
הֲיַחְתֶּה אִישׁ אֵשׁ בְּחֵיקוֹ וּבְגָדָיו לֹא תִשָּׂרַֽפְנָה׃
Can a man take fire in his bosom, and his clothes not be burned?
אִם-יְהַלֵּךְ אִישׁ עַל-הַגֶּחָלִים וְרַגְלָיו לֹא תִכָּוֶֽינָה׃
Can one go upon hot coals, and his feet not be burned?
כִּֽי-קִנְאָה חֲמַת-גָּבֶר וְלֹֽא-יַחְמוֹל בְּיוֹם נָקָֽם׃
For jealousy is the rage of a man: therefore he will not spare in the day of vengeance.
