צַו אֶת-בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל וְאָֽמַרְתָּ אֲלֵהֶם אֶת-קָרְבָּנִי לַחְמִי לְאִשַּׁי רֵיחַ נִֽיחֹחִי תִּשְׁמְרוּ לְהַקְרִיב לִי בְּמֽוֹעֲדֽוֹ׃

Command the children of Israel, and say unto them, My offering, and my bread for my sacrifices made by fire, for a sweet savour unto me, shall ye observe to offer unto me in their due season.

וְאָֽמַרְתָּ לָהֶם זֶה הָֽאִשֶּׁה אֲשֶׁר תַּקְרִיבוּ לַֽיהוָה כְּבָשִׂים בְּנֵֽי-שָׁנָה תְמִימִם שְׁנַיִם לַיּוֹם עֹלָה תָמִֽיד׃

And thou shalt say unto them, This is the offering made by fire which ye shall offer unto the LORD; two lambs of the first year without spot day by day, for a continual burnt offering.

וּבְיוֹם הַשַּׁבָּת שְׁנֵֽי-כְבָשִׂים בְּנֵֽי-שָׁנָה תְּמִימִם וּשְׁנֵי עֶשְׂרֹנִים סֹלֶת מִנְחָה בְּלוּלָה בַשֶּׁמֶן וְנִסְכּֽוֹ׃

And on the sabbath day two lambs of the first year without spot, and two tenth deals of flour for a meat offering, mingled with oil, and the drink offering thereof:

וּבְרָאשֵׁי חָדְשֵׁיכֶם תַּקְרִיבוּ עֹלָה לַֽיהוָה פָּרִים בְּנֵֽי-בָקָר שְׁנַיִם וְאַיִל אֶחָד כְּבָשִׂים בְּנֵֽי-שָׁנָה שִׁבְעָה תְּמִימִֽם׃

And in the beginnings of your months ye shall offer a burnt offering unto the LORD; two young bullocks, and one ram, seven lambs of the first year without spot;

וְהִקְרַבְתֶּם אִשֶּׁה עֹלָה לַֽיהוָה פָּרִים בְּנֵֽי-בָקָר שְׁנַיִם וְאַיִל אֶחָד וְשִׁבְעָה כְבָשִׂים בְּנֵי שָׁנָה תְּמִימִם יִֽהְיוּ לָכֶֽם׃

But ye shall offer a sacrifice made by fire for a burnt offering unto the LORD; two young bullocks, and one ram, and seven lambs of the first year: they shall be unto you without blemish:

וְהִקְרַבְתֶּם עוֹלָה לְרֵיחַ נִיחֹחַ לַֽיהוָה פָּרִים בְּנֵֽי-בָקָר שְׁנַיִם אַיִל אֶחָד שִׁבְעָה כְבָשִׂים בְּנֵי שָׁנָֽה׃

Numbers 29

וַֽעֲשִׂיתֶם עֹלָה לְרֵיחַ נִיחֹחַ לַֽיהוָה פַּר בֶּן-בָּקָר אֶחָד אַיִל אֶחָד כְּבָשִׂים בְּנֵֽי-שָׁנָה שִׁבְעָה תְּמִימִֽם׃

וּבַיּוֹם הַשֵּׁנִי פָּרִים בְּנֵֽי-בָקָר שְׁנֵים עָשָׂר אֵילִם שְׁנָיִם כְּבָשִׂים בְּנֵֽי-שָׁנָה אַרְבָּעָה עָשָׂר תְּמִימִֽם׃

And on the second day ye shall offer twelve young bullocks, two rams, fourteen lambs of the first year without spot:

וּבַיּוֹם הַשְּׁלִישִׁי פָּרִים עַשְׁתֵּי-עָשָׂר אֵילִם שְׁנָיִם כְּבָשִׂים בְּנֵֽי-שָׁנָה אַרְבָּעָה עָשָׂר תְּמִימִֽם׃

And on the third day eleven bullocks, two rams, fourteen lambs of the first year without blemish;

וּבַיּוֹם הָֽרְבִיעִי פָּרִים עֲשָׂרָה אֵילִם שְׁנָיִם כְּבָשִׂים בְּנֵֽי-שָׁנָה אַרְבָּעָה עָשָׂר תְּמִימִֽם׃

And on the fourth day ten bullocks, two rams, and fourteen lambs of the first year without blemish:

וּבַיּוֹם הַֽחֲמִישִׁי פָּרִים תִּשְׁעָה אֵילִם שְׁנָיִם כְּבָשִׂים בְּנֵֽי-שָׁנָה אַרְבָּעָה עָשָׂר תְּמִימִֽם׃

And on the fifth day nine bullocks, two rams, and fourteen lambs of the first year without spot:

וּבַיּוֹם הַשִּׁשִּׁי פָּרִים שְׁמֹנָה אֵילִם שְׁנָיִם כְּבָשִׂים בְּנֵֽי-שָׁנָה אַרְבָּעָה עָשָׂר תְּמִימִֽם׃

And on the sixth day eight bullocks, two rams, and fourteen lambs of the first year without blemish:

וּבַיּוֹם הַשְּׁבִיעִי פָּרִים שִׁבְעָה אֵילִם שְׁנָיִם כְּבָשִׂים בְּנֵֽי-שָׁנָה אַרְבָּעָה עָשָׂר תְּמִימִֽם׃

And on the seventh day seven bullocks, two rams, and fourteen lambs of the first year without blemish:

וַיֹּאמֶר מֹשֶׁה אֶל-בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל כְּכֹל אֲשֶׁר-צִוָּה יְהוָה אֶת-מֹשֶֽׁה׃

And Moses told the children of Israel according to all that the LORD commanded Moses.

Numbers 30

וַיְדַבֵּר מֹשֶׁה אֶל-רָאשֵׁי הַמַּטּוֹת לִבְנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל לֵאמֹר זֶה הַדָּבָר אֲשֶׁר צִוָּה יְהוָֽה׃

And Moses spake unto the heads of the tribes concerning the children of Israel, saying, This is the thing which the LORD hath commanded.

Numbers 31

נְקֹם נִקְמַת בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל מֵאֵת הַמִּדְיָנִים אַחַר תֵּֽאָסֵף אֶל-עַמֶּֽיךָ׃

Avenge the children of Israel of the Midianites: afterward shalt thou be gathered unto thy people.

וַיִּשְׁלַח אֹתָם מֹשֶׁה אֶלֶף לַמַּטֶּה לַצָּבָא אֹתָם וְאֶת-פִּינְחָס בֶּן-אֶלְעָזָר הַכֹּהֵן לַצָּבָא וּכְלֵי הַקֹּדֶשׁ וַחֲצֹֽצְרוֹת הַתְּרוּעָה בְּיָדֽוֹ׃

And Moses sent them to the war, a thousand of every tribe, them and Phinehas the son of Eleazar the priest, to the war, with the holy instruments, and the trumpets to blow in his hand.

וְאֶת-מַלְכֵי מִדְיָן הָֽרְגוּ עַל-חַלְלֵיהֶם אֶת-אֱוִי וְאֶת-רֶקֶם וְאֶת-צוּר וְאֶת-חוּר וְאֶת-רֶבַע חֲמֵשֶׁת מַלְכֵי מִדְיָן וְאֵת בִּלְעָם בֶּן-בְּעוֹר הָֽרְגוּ בֶּחָֽרֶב׃

And they slew the kings of Midian, beside the rest of them that were slain; namely, Evi, and Rekem, and Zur, and Hur, and Reba, five kings of Midian: Balaam also the son of Beor they slew with the sword.

וַיִּשְׁבּוּ בְנֵֽי-יִשְׂרָאֵל אֶת-נְשֵׁי מִדְיָן וְאֶת-טַפָּם וְאֵת כָּל-בְּהֶמְתָּם וְאֶת-כָּל-מִקְנֵהֶם וְאֶת-כָּל-חֵילָם בָּזָֽזוּ׃

And the children of Israel took all the women of Midian captives, and their little ones, and took the spoil of all their cattle, and all their flocks, and all their goods.

וַיָּבִאוּ אֶל-מֹשֶׁה וְאֶל-אֶלְעָזָר הַכֹּהֵן וְאֶל-עֲדַת בְּנֵֽי-יִשְׂרָאֵל אֶת-הַשְּׁבִי וְאֶת-הַמַּלְקוֹחַ וְאֶת-הַשָּׁלָל אֶל-הַֽמַּחֲנֶה אֶל-עַֽרְבֹת מוֹאָב אֲשֶׁר עַל-יַרְדֵּן יְרֵחֽוֹ׃

And they brought the captives, and the prey, and the spoil, unto Moses, and Eleazar the priest, and unto the congregation of the children of Israel, unto the camp at the plains of Moab, which are by Jordan near Jericho.

הֵן הֵנָּה הָיוּ לִבְנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל בִּדְבַר בִּלְעָם לִמְסָר-מַעַל בַּֽיהוָה עַל-דְּבַר-פְּעוֹר וַתְּהִי הַמַּגֵּפָה בַּֽעֲדַת יְהוָֽה׃

Behold, these caused the children of Israel, through the counsel of Balaam, to commit trespass against the LORD in the matter of Peor, and there was a plague among the congregation of the LORD.

וּמִמַּֽחֲצִת בְּנֵֽי-יִשְׂרָאֵל תִּקַּח׀ אֶחָד׀ אָחֻז מִן-הַֽחֲמִשִּׁים מִן-הָֽאָדָם מִן-הַבָּקָר מִן-הַֽחֲמֹרִים וּמִן-הַצֹּאן מִכָּל-הַבְּהֵמָה וְנָֽתַתָּה אֹתָם לַלְוִיִּם שֹֽׁמְרֵי מִשְׁמֶרֶת מִשְׁכַּן יְהוָֽה׃

And of the children of Israel's half, thou shalt take one portion of fifty, of the persons, of the beeves, of the asses, and of the flocks, of all manner of beasts, and give them unto the Levites, which keep the charge of the tabernacle of the LORD.

וּמִֽמַּחֲצִית בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל אֲשֶׁר חָצָה מֹשֶׁה מִן-הָֽאֲנָשִׁים הַצֹּֽבְאִֽים׃

And of the children of Israel's half, which Moses divided from the men that warred,

וַיִּקַּח מֹשֶׁה מִמַּֽחֲצִת בְּנֵֽי-יִשְׂרָאֵל אֶת-הָֽאָחֻז אֶחָד מִן-הַֽחֲמִשִּׁים מִן-הָֽאָדָם וּמִן-הַבְּהֵמָה וַיִּתֵּן אֹתָם לַלְוִיִּם שֹֽׁמְרֵי מִשְׁמֶרֶת מִשְׁכַּן יְהוָה כַּֽאֲשֶׁר צִוָּה יְהוָה אֶת-מֹשֶֽׁה׃

Even of the children of Israel's half, Moses took one portion of fifty, both of man and of beast, and gave them unto the Levites, which kept the charge of the tabernacle of the LORD; as the LORD commanded Moses.

וַיִּקַּח מֹשֶׁה וְאֶלְעָזָר הַכֹּהֵן אֶת-הַזָּהָב מֵאֵת שָׂרֵי הָֽאֲלָפִים וְהַמֵּאוֹת וַיָּבִאוּ אֹתוֹ אֶל-אֹהֶל מוֹעֵד זִכָּרוֹן לִבְנֵֽי-יִשְׂרָאֵל לִפְנֵי יְהוָֽה׃

And Moses and Eleazar the priest took the gold of the captains of thousands and of hundreds, and brought it into the tabernacle of the congregation, for a memorial for the children of Israel before the LORD.

Numbers 32

וּמִקְנֶה׀ רַב הָיָה לִבְנֵי רְאוּבֵן וְלִבְנֵי-גָד עָצוּם מְאֹד וַיִּרְאוּ אֶת-אֶרֶץ יַעְזֵר וְאֶת-אֶרֶץ גִּלְעָד וְהִנֵּה הַמָּקוֹם מְקוֹם מִקְנֶֽה׃

Now the children of Reuben and the children of Gad had a very great multitude of cattle: and when they saw the land of Jazer, and the land of Gilead, that, behold, the place was a place for cattle;

וַיָּבֹאוּ בְנֵֽי-גָד וּבְנֵי רְאוּבֵן וַיֹּֽאמְרוּ אֶל-מֹשֶׁה וְאֶל-אֶלְעָזָר הַכֹּהֵן וְאֶל-נְשִׂיאֵי הָֽעֵדָה לֵאמֹֽר׃

The children of Gad and the children of Reuben came and spake unto Moses, and to Eleazar the priest, and unto the princes of the congregation, saying,

וַיֹּאמֶר מֹשֶׁה לִבְנֵי-גָד וְלִבְנֵי רְאוּבֵן הַאַֽחֵיכֶם יָבֹאוּ לַמִּלְחָמָה וְאַתֶּם תֵּשְׁבוּ פֹֽה׃

And Moses said unto the children of Gad and to the children of Reuben, Shall your brethren go to war, and shall ye sit here?

וְלָמָּה ‫(תנואון)‬ תְנִיאוּן אֶת-לֵב בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל מֵֽעֲבֹר אֶל-הָאָרֶץ אֲשֶׁר-נָתַן לָהֶם יְהוָֽה׃

And wherefore discourage ye the heart of the children of Israel from going over into the land which the LORD hath given them?

וַֽיַּעֲלוּ עַד-נַחַל אֶשְׁכּוֹל וַיִּרְאוּ אֶת-הָאָרֶץ וַיָּנִיאוּ אֶת-לֵב בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל לְבִלְתִּי-בֹא אֶל-הָאָרֶץ אֲשֶׁר-נָתַן לָהֶם יְהוָֽה׃

For when they went up unto the valley of Eshcol, and saw the land, they discouraged the heart of the children of Israel, that they should not go into the land which the LORD had given them.

אִם-יִרְאוּ הָֽאֲנָשִׁים הָֽעֹלִים מִמִּצְרַיִם מִבֶּן עֶשְׂרִים שָׁנָה וָמַעְלָה אֵת הָֽאֲדָמָה אֲשֶׁר נִשְׁבַּעְתִּי לְאַבְרָהָם לְיִצְחָק וּֽלְיַעֲקֹב כִּי לֹֽא-מִלְאוּ אַֽחֲרָֽי׃

Surely none of the men that came up out of Egypt, from twenty years old and upward, shall see the land which I sware unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob; because they have not wholly followed me:

בִּלְתִּי כָּלֵב בֶּן-יְפֻנֶּה הַקְּנִזִּי וִֽיהוֹשֻׁעַ בִּן-נוּן כִּי מִלְאוּ אַֽחֲרֵי יְהוָֽה׃

Save Caleb the son of Jephunneh the Kenezite, and Joshua the son of Nun: for they have wholly followed the LORD.

וַֽאֲנַחְנוּ נֵֽחָלֵץ חֻשִׁים לִפְנֵי בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל עַד אֲשֶׁר אִם-הֲבִֽיאֹנֻם אֶל-מְקוֹמָם וְיָשַׁב טַפֵּנוּ בְּעָרֵי הַמִּבְצָר מִפְּנֵי יֹֽשְׁבֵי הָאָֽרֶץ׃

But we ourselves will go ready armed before the children of Israel, until we have brought them unto their place: and our little ones shall dwell in the fenced cities because of the inhabitants of the land.

לֹא נָשׁוּב אֶל-בָּתֵּינוּ עַד הִתְנַחֵל בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל אִישׁ נַֽחֲלָתֽוֹ׃

We will not return unto our houses, until the children of Israel have inherited every man his inheritance.

וַיֹּאמֶר בְּנֵי-גָד וּבְנֵי רְאוּבֵן אֶל-מֹשֶׁה לֵאמֹר עֲבָדֶיךָ יַֽעֲשׂוּ כַּֽאֲשֶׁר אֲדֹנִי מְצַוֶּֽה׃

And the children of Gad and the children of Reuben spake unto Moses, saying, Thy servants will do as my lord commandeth.

וַיְצַו לָהֶם מֹשֶׁה אֵת אֶלְעָזָר הַכֹּהֵן וְאֵת יְהוֹשֻׁעַ בִּן-נוּן וְאֶת-רָאשֵׁי אֲבוֹת הַמַּטּוֹת לִבְנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃

So concerning them Moses commanded Eleazar the priest, and Joshua the son of Nun, and the chief fathers of the tribes of the children of Israel:

וַיֹּאמֶר מֹשֶׁה אֲלֵהֶם אִם-יַֽעַבְרוּ בְנֵי-גָד וּבְנֵֽי-רְאוּבֵן׀ אִתְּכֶם אֶֽת-הַיַּרְדֵּן כָּל-חָלוּץ לַמִּלְחָמָה לִפְנֵי יְהוָה וְנִכְבְּשָׁה הָאָרֶץ לִפְנֵיכֶם וּנְתַתֶּם לָהֶם אֶת-אֶרֶץ הַגִּלְעָד לַֽאֲחֻזָּֽה׃

And Moses said unto them, If the children of Gad and the children of Reuben will pass with you over Jordan, every man armed to battle, before the LORD, and the land shall be subdued before you; then ye shall give them the land of Gilead for a possession:

וַיַּֽעֲנוּ בְנֵי-גָד וּבְנֵי רְאוּבֵן לֵאמֹר אֵת אֲשֶׁר דִּבֶּר יְהוָה אֶל-עֲבָדֶיךָ כֵּן נַֽעֲשֶֽׂה׃

And the children of Gad and the children of Reuben answered, saying, As the LORD hath said unto thy servants, so will we do.

וַיִּתֵּן לָהֶם׀ מֹשֶׁה לִבְנֵי-גָד וְלִבְנֵי רְאוּבֵן וְלַֽחֲצִי׀ שֵׁבֶט׀ מְנַשֶּׁה בֶן-יוֹסֵף אֶת-מַמְלֶכֶת סִיחֹן מֶלֶךְ הָֽאֱמֹרִי וְאֶת-מַמְלֶכֶת עוֹג מֶלֶךְ הַבָּשָׁן הָאָרֶץ לְעָרֶיהָ בִּגְבֻלֹת עָרֵי הָאָרֶץ סָבִֽיב׃

And Moses gave unto them, even to the children of Gad, and to the children of Reuben, and unto half the tribe of Manasseh the son of Joseph, the kingdom of Sihon king of the Amorites, and the kingdom of Og king of Bashan, the land, with the cities thereof in the coasts, even the cities of the country round about.

וַיִּבְנוּ בְנֵי-גָד אֶת-דִּיבֹן וְאֶת-עֲטָרֹת וְאֵת עֲרֹעֵֽר׃

And the children of Gad built Dibon, and Ataroth, and Aroer,

וּבְנֵי רְאוּבֵן בָּנוּ אֶת-חֶשְׁבּוֹן וְאֶת-אֶלְעָלֵא וְאֵת קִרְיָתָֽיִם׃

And the children of Reuben built Heshbon, and Elealeh, and Kirjathaim,

וַיֵּלְכוּ בְּנֵי מָכִיר בֶּן-מְנַשֶּׁה גִּלְעָדָה וַֽיִּלְכְּדֻהָ וַיּוֹרֶשׁ אֶת-הָֽאֱמֹרִי אֲשֶׁר-בָּֽהּ׃

And the children of Machir the son of Manasseh went to Gilead, and took it, and dispossessed the Amorite which was in it.

וַיִּתֵּן מֹשֶׁה אֶת-הַגִּלְעָד לְמָכִיר בֶּן-מְנַשֶּׁה וַיֵּשֶׁב בָּֽהּ׃

And Moses gave Gilead unto Machir the son of Manasseh; and he dwelt therein.

וְיָאִיר בֶּן-מְנַשֶּׁה הָלַךְ וַיִּלְכֹּד אֶת-חַוֹּֽתֵיהֶם וַיִּקְרָא אֶתְהֶן חַוֹּת יָאִֽיר׃

And Jair the son of Manasseh went and took the small towns thereof, and called them Havoth-jair.

Numbers 33

אֵלֶּה מַסְעֵי בְנֵֽי-יִשְׂרָאֵל אֲשֶׁר יָֽצְאוּ מֵאֶרֶץ מִצְרַיִם לְצִבְאֹתָם בְּיַד-מֹשֶׁה וְאַֽהֲרֹֽן׃

These are the journeys of the children of Israel, which went forth out of the land of Egypt with their armies under the hand of Moses and Aaron.

וַיִּסְעוּ מֵֽרַעְמְסֵס בַּחֹדֶשׁ הָֽרִאשׁוֹן בַּֽחֲמִשָּׁה עָשָׂר יוֹם לַחֹדֶשׁ הָֽרִאשׁוֹן מִֽמָּחֳרַת הַפֶּסַח יָֽצְאוּ בְנֵֽי-יִשְׂרָאֵל בְּיָד רָמָה לְעֵינֵי כָּל-מִצְרָֽיִם׃

And they departed from Rameses in the first month, on the fifteenth day of the first month; on the morrow after the passover the children of Israel went out with an high hand in the sight of all the Egyptians.

וַיִּסְעוּ בְנֵֽי-יִשְׂרָאֵל מֵֽרַעְמְסֵס וַֽיַּחֲנוּ בְּסֻכֹּֽת׃

And the children of Israel removed from Rameses, and pitched in Succoth.

וַיַּעַל אַֽהֲרֹן הַכֹּהֵן אֶל-הֹר הָהָר עַל-פִּי יְהוָה וַיָּמָת שָׁם בִּשְׁנַת הָֽאַרְבָּעִים לְצֵאת בְּנֵֽי-יִשְׂרָאֵל מֵאֶרֶץ מִצְרַיִם בַּחֹדֶשׁ הַֽחֲמִישִׁי בְּאֶחָד לַחֹֽדֶשׁ׃

And Aaron the priest went up into mount Hor at the commandment of the LORD, and died there, in the fortieth year after the children of Israel were come out of the land of Egypt, in the first day of the fifth month.

וְאַֽהֲרֹן בֶּן-שָׁלֹשׁ וְעֶשְׂרִים וּמְאַת שָׁנָה בְּמֹתוֹ בְּהֹר הָהָֽר׃

And Aaron was an hundred and twenty and three years old when he died in mount Hor.

וַיִּשְׁמַע הַֽכְּנַעֲנִי מֶלֶךְ עֲרָד וְהֽוּא-יֹשֵׁב בַּנֶּגֶב בְּאֶרֶץ כְּנָעַן בְּבֹא בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃

And king Arad the Canaanite, which dwelt in the south in the land of Canaan, heard of the coming of the children of Israel.

דַּבֵּר אֶל-בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל וְאָֽמַרְתָּ אֲלֵהֶם כִּי אַתֶּם עֹֽבְרִים אֶת-הַיַּרְדֵּן אֶל-אֶרֶץ כְּנָֽעַן׃

Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye are passed over Jordan into the land of Canaan;

Numbers 34

צַו אֶת-בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל וְאָֽמַרְתָּ אֲלֵהֶם כִּֽי-אַתֶּם בָּאִים אֶל-הָאָרֶץ כְּנָעַן זֹאת הָאָרֶץ אֲשֶׁר תִּפֹּל לָכֶם בְּֽנַחֲלָה אֶרֶץ כְּנַעַן לִגְבֻֽלֹתֶֽיהָ׃

Command the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye come into the land of Canaan; (this is the land that shall fall unto you for an inheritance, even the land of Canaan with the coasts thereof:)

וַיְצַו מֹשֶׁה אֶת-בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל לֵאמֹר זֹאת הָאָרֶץ אֲשֶׁר תִּתְנַֽחֲלוּ אֹתָהּ בְּגוֹרָל אֲשֶׁר צִוָּה יְהוָה לָתֵת לְתִשְׁעַת הַמַּטּוֹת וַֽחֲצִי הַמַּטֶּֽה׃

And Moses commanded the children of Israel, saying, This is the land which ye shall inherit by lot, which the LORD commanded to give unto the nine tribes, and to the half tribe:

כִּי לָֽקְחוּ מַטֵּה בְנֵי הָרֽאוּבֵנִי לְבֵית אֲבֹתָם וּמַטֵּה בְנֵֽי-הַגָּדִי לְבֵית אֲבֹתָם וַֽחֲצִי מַטֵּה מְנַשֶּׁה לָֽקְחוּ נַֽחֲלָתָֽם׃

For the tribe of the children of Reuben according to the house of their fathers, and the tribe of the children of Gad according to the house of their fathers, have received their inheritance; and half the tribe of Manasseh have received their inheritance:

אֵלֶּה שְׁמוֹת הָֽאֲנָשִׁים אֲשֶׁר-יִנְחֲלוּ לָכֶם אֶת-הָאָרֶץ אֶלְעָזָר הַכֹּהֵן וִֽיהוֹשֻׁעַ בִּן-נֽוּן׃

These are the names of the men which shall divide the land unto you: Eleazar the priest, and Joshua the son of Nun.

וְאֵלֶּה שְׁמוֹת הָֽאֲנָשִׁים לְמַטֵּה יְהוּדָה כָּלֵב בֶּן-יְפֻנֶּֽה׃

And the names of the men are these: Of the tribe of Judah, Caleb the son of Jephunneh.

וּלְמַטֵּה בְּנֵי שִׁמְעוֹן שְׁמוּאֵל בֶּן-עַמִּיהֽוּד׃

And of the tribe of the children of Simeon, Shemuel the son of Ammihud.

לְמַטֵּה בִנְיָמִן אֱלִידָד בֶּן-כִּסְלֽוֹן׃

Of the tribe of Benjamin, Elidad the son of Chislon.

וּלְמַטֵּה בְנֵי-דָן נָשִׂיא בֻּקִּי בֶּן-יָגְלִֽי׃

And the prince of the tribe of the children of Dan, Bukki the son of Jogli.

לִבְנֵי יוֹסֵף לְמַטֵּה בְנֵֽי-מְנַשֶּׁה נָשִׂיא חַנִּיאֵל בֶּן-אֵפֹֽד׃

The prince of the children of Joseph, for the tribe of the children of Manasseh, Hanniel the son of Ephod.

וּלְמַטֵּה בְנֵֽי-אֶפְרַיִם נָשִׂיא קְמוּאֵל בֶּן-שִׁפְטָֽן׃

And the prince of the tribe of the children of Ephraim, Kemuel the son of Shiphtan.

וּלְמַטֵּה בְנֵֽי-זְבוּלֻן נָשִׂיא אֱלִֽיצָפָן בֶּן-פַּרְנָֽךְ׃

And the prince of the tribe of the children of Zebulun, Elizaphan the son of Parnach.

וּלְמַטֵּה בְנֵֽי-יִשָׂשכָר נָשִׂיא פַּלְטִיאֵל בֶּן-עַזָּֽן׃

And the prince of the tribe of the children of Issachar, Paltiel the son of Azzan.

וּלְמַטֵּה בְנֵֽי-אָשֵׁר נָשִׂיא אֲחִיהוּד בֶּן-שְׁלֹמִֽי׃

And the prince of the tribe of the children of Asher, Ahihud the son of Shelomi.

וּלְמַטֵּה בְנֵֽי-נַפְתָּלִי נָשִׂיא פְּדַהְאֵל בֶּן-עַמִּיהֽוּד׃

And the prince of the tribe of the children of Naphtali, Pedahel the son of Ammihud.

אֵלֶּה אֲשֶׁר צִוָּה יְהוָה לְנַחֵל אֶת-בְּנֵֽי-יִשְׂרָאֵל בְּאֶרֶץ כְּנָֽעַן׃

These are they whom the LORD commanded to divide the inheritance unto the children of Israel in the land of Canaan.

Numbers 35

צַו אֶת-בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל וְנָֽתְנוּ לַלְוִיִּם מִֽנַּחֲלַת אֲחֻזָּתָם עָרִים לָשָׁבֶת וּמִגְרָשׁ לֶֽעָרִים סְבִיבֹתֵיהֶם תִּתְּנוּ לַלְוִיִּֽם׃

Command the children of Israel, that they give unto the Levites of the inheritance of their possession cities to dwell in; and ye shall give also unto the Levites suburbs for the cities round about them.

וְהֶֽעָרִים אֲשֶׁר תִּתְּנוּ מֵֽאֲחֻזַּת בְּנֵֽי-יִשְׂרָאֵל מֵאֵת הָרַב תַּרְבּוּ וּמֵאֵת הַמְעַט תַּמְעִיטוּ אִישׁ כְּפִי נַֽחֲלָתוֹ אֲשֶׁר יִנְחָלוּ יִתֵּן מֵֽעָרָיו לַלְוִיִּֽם׃

And the cities which ye shall give shall be of the possession of the children of Israel: from them that have many ye shall give many; but from them that have few ye shall give few: every one shall give of his cities unto the Levites according to his inheritance which he inheriteth.

דַּבֵּר אֶל-בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל וְאָֽמַרְתָּ אֲלֵהֶם כִּי אַתֶּם עֹֽבְרִים אֶת-הַיַּרְדֵּן אַרְצָה כְּנָֽעַן׃

Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye be come over Jordan into the land of Canaan;

לִבְנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל וְלַגֵּר וְלַתּוֹשָׁב בְּתוֹכָם תִּֽהְיֶינָה שֵׁשׁ-הֶֽעָרִים הָאֵלֶּה לְמִקְלָט לָנוּס שָׁמָּה כָּל-מַכֵּה-נֶפֶשׁ בִּשְׁגָגָֽה׃

These six cities shall be a refuge, both for the children of Israel, and for the stranger, and for the sojourner among them: that every one that killeth any person unawares may flee thither.

וְלֹא תְטַמֵּא אֶת-הָאָרֶץ אֲשֶׁר אַתֶּם יֹֽשְׁבִים בָּהּ אֲשֶׁר אֲנִי שֹׁכֵן בְּתוֹכָהּ כִּי אֲנִי יְהוָה שֹׁכֵן בְּתוֹךְ בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃

Defile not therefore the land which ye shall inhabit, wherein I dwell: for I the LORD dwell among the children of Israel.

Numbers 36

וַֽיִּקְרְבוּ רָאשֵׁי הָֽאָבוֹת לְמִשְׁפַּחַת בְּנֵֽי-גִלְעָד בֶּן-מָכִיר בֶּן-מְנַשֶּׁה מִֽמִּשְׁפְּחֹת בְּנֵי יוֹסֵף וַֽיְדַבְּרוּ לִפְנֵי מֹשֶׁה וְלִפְנֵי הַנְּשִׂאִים רָאשֵׁי אָבוֹת לִבְנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃

And the chief fathers of the families of the children of Gilead, the son of Machir, the son of Manasseh, of the families of the sons of Joseph, came near, and spake before Moses, and before the princes, the chief fathers of the children of Israel:

וַיֹּֽאמְרוּ אֶת-אֲדֹנִי צִוָּה יְהוָה לָתֵת אֶת-הָאָרֶץ בְּנַֽחֲלָה בְּגוֹרָל לִבְנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל וַֽאדֹנִי צֻוָּה בַֽיהוָה לָתֵת אֶֽת-נַחֲלַת צְלָפְחָד אָחִינוּ לִבְנֹתָֽיו׃

And they said, The LORD commanded my lord to give the land for an inheritance by lot to the children of Israel: and my lord was commanded by the LORD to give the inheritance of Zelophehad our brother unto his daughters.

וְהָיוּ לְאֶחָד מִבְּנֵי שִׁבְטֵי בְנֵֽי-יִשְׂרָאֵל לְנָשִׁים וְנִגְרְעָה נַֽחֲלָתָן מִנַּֽחֲלַת אֲבֹתֵינוּ וְנוֹסַף עַל נַֽחֲלַת הַמַּטֶּה אֲשֶׁר תִּֽהְיֶינָה לָהֶם וּמִגֹּרַל נַֽחֲלָתֵנוּ יִגָּרֵֽעַ׃

And if they be married to any of the sons of the other tribes of the children of Israel, then shall their inheritance be taken from the inheritance of our fathers, and shall be put to the inheritance of the tribe whereunto they are received: so shall it be taken from the lot of our inheritance.

וְאִם-יִֽהְיֶה הַיֹּבֵל לִבְנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל וְנֽוֹסְפָה נַֽחֲלָתָן עַל נַֽחֲלַת הַמַּטֶּה אֲשֶׁר תִּֽהְיֶינָה לָהֶם וּמִֽנַּחֲלַת מַטֵּה אֲבֹתֵינוּ יִגָּרַע נַֽחֲלָתָֽן׃

And when the jubile of the children of Israel shall be, then shall their inheritance be put unto the inheritance of the tribe whereunto they are received: so shall their inheritance be taken away from the inheritance of the tribe of our fathers.

וַיְצַו מֹשֶׁה אֶת-בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל עַל-פִּי יְהוָה לֵאמֹר כֵּן מַטֵּה בְנֵֽי-יוֹסֵף דֹּֽבְרִֽים׃

And Moses commanded the children of Israel according to the word of the LORD, saying, The tribe of the sons of Joseph hath said well.

וְלֹֽא-תִסֹּב נַֽחֲלָה לִבְנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל מִמַּטֶּה אֶל-מַטֶּה כִּי אִישׁ בְּנַֽחֲלַת מַטֵּה אֲבֹתָיו יִדְבְּקוּ בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃

So shall not the inheritance of the children of Israel remove from tribe to tribe: for every one of the children of Israel shall keep himself to the inheritance of the tribe of his fathers.

וְכָל-בַּת יֹרֶשֶׁת נַֽחֲלָה מִמַּטּוֹת בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל לְאֶחָד מִמִּשְׁפַּחַת מַטֵּה אָבִיהָ תִּֽהְיֶה לְאִשָּׁה לְמַעַן יִֽירְשׁוּ בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל אִישׁ נַֽחֲלַת אֲבֹתָֽיו׃

And every daughter, that possesseth an inheritance in any tribe of the children of Israel, shall be wife unto one of the family of the tribe of her father, that the children of Israel may enjoy every man the inheritance of his fathers.

וְלֹֽא-תִסֹּב נַֽחֲלָה מִמַּטֶּה לְמַטֶּה אַחֵר כִּי-אִישׁ בְּנַחֲלָתוֹ יִדְבְּקוּ מַטּוֹת בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃

Neither shall the inheritance remove from one tribe to another tribe; but every one of the tribes of the children of Israel shall keep himself to his own inheritance.

וַתִּֽהְיֶינָה מַחְלָה תִרְצָה וְחָגְלָה וּמִלְכָּה וְנֹעָה בְּנוֹת צְלָפְחָד לִבְנֵי דֹֽדֵיהֶן לְנָשִֽׁים׃

For Mahlah, Tirzah, and Hoglah, and Milcah, and Noah, the daughters of Zelophehad, were married unto their father's brothers' sons:

מִֽמִּשְׁפְּחֹת בְּנֵֽי-מְנַשֶּׁה בֶן-יוֹסֵף הָיוּ לְנָשִׁים וַתְּהִי נַֽחֲלָתָן עַל-מַטֵּה מִשְׁפַּחַת אֲבִיהֶֽן׃

And they were married into the families of the sons of Manasseh the son of Joseph, and their inheritance remained in the tribe of the family of their father.

אֵלֶּה הַמִּצְוֹת וְהַמִּשְׁפָּטִים אֲשֶׁר צִוָּה יְהוָה בְּיַד-מֹשֶׁה אֶל-בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל בְּעַֽרְבֹת מוֹאָב עַל יַרְדֵּן יְרֵחֽוֹ׃

These are the commandments and the judgments, which the LORD commanded by the hand of Moses unto the children of Israel in the plains of Moab by Jordan near Jericho.

Deuteronomy 1

וַֽיְהִי בְּאַרְבָּעִים שָׁנָה בְּעַשְׁתֵּֽי-עָשָׂר חֹדֶשׁ בְּאֶחָד לַחֹדֶשׁ דִּבֶּר מֹשֶׁה אֶל-בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל כְּכֹל אֲשֶׁר צִוָּה יְהוָה אֹתוֹ אֲלֵהֶֽם׃

And it came to pass in the fortieth year, in the eleventh month, on the first day of the month, that Moses spake unto the children of Israel, according unto all that the LORD had given him in commandment unto them;

אָנָה׀ אֲנַחְנוּ עֹלִים אַחֵינוּ הֵמַסּוּ אֶת-לְבָבֵנוּ לֵאמֹר עַם גָּדוֹל וָרָם מִמֶּנּוּ עָרִים גְּדֹלֹת וּבְצוּרֹת בַּשָּׁמָיִם וְגַם-בְּנֵי עֲנָקִים רָאִינוּ שָֽׁם׃

Whither shall we go up? our brethren have discouraged our heart, saying, The people is greater and taller than we; the cities are great and walled up to heaven; and moreover we have seen the sons of the Anakims there.

וּבַמִּדְבָּר אֲשֶׁר רָאִיתָ אֲשֶׁר נְשָֽׂאֲךָ יְהוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ כַּֽאֲשֶׁר יִשָּׂא-אִישׁ אֶת-בְּנוֹ בְּכָל-הַדֶּרֶךְ אֲשֶׁר הֲלַכְתֶּם עַד-בֹּֽאֲכֶם עַד-הַמָּקוֹם הַזֶּֽה׃

And in the wilderness, where thou hast seen how that the LORD thy God bare thee, as a man doth bear his son, in all the way that ye went, until ye came into this place.

זֽוּלָתִי כָּלֵב בֶּן-יְפֻנֶּה הוּא יִרְאֶנָּה וְלֽוֹ-אֶתֵּן אֶת-הָאָרֶץ אֲשֶׁר דָּֽרַךְ-בָּהּ וּלְבָנָיו יַעַן אֲשֶׁר מִלֵּא אַֽחֲרֵי יְהוָֽה׃

Save Caleb the son of Jephunneh; he shall see it, and to him will I give the land that he hath trodden upon, and to his children, because he hath wholly followed the LORD.

יְהוֹשֻׁעַ בִּן-נוּן הָֽעֹמֵד לְפָנֶיךָ הוּא יָבֹא שָׁמָּה אֹתוֹ חַזֵּק כִּי-הוּא יַנְחִלֶנָּה אֶת-יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃

But Joshua the son of Nun, which standeth before thee, he shall go in thither: encourage him: for he shall cause Israel to inherit it.

וְטַפְּכֶם אֲשֶׁר אֲמַרְתֶּם לָבַז יִֽהְיֶה וּבְנֵיכֶם אֲשֶׁר לֹֽא-יָדְעוּ הַיּוֹם טוֹב וָרָע הֵמָּה יָבֹאוּ שָׁמָּה וְלָהֶם אֶתְּנֶנָּה וְהֵם יִֽירָשֽׁוּהָ׃

Moreover your little ones, which ye said should be a prey, and your children, which in that day had no knowledge between good and evil, they shall go in thither, and unto them will I give it, and they shall possess it.

Deuteronomy 2

וְאֶת-הָעָם צַו לֵאמֹר אַתֶּם עֹֽבְרִים בִּגְבוּל אֲחֵיכֶם בְּנֵֽי-עֵשָׂו הַיֹּֽשְׁבִים בְּשֵׂעִיר וְיִֽירְאוּ מִכֶּם וְנִשְׁמַרְתֶּם מְאֹֽד׃

And command thou the people, saying, Ye are to pass through the coast of your brethren the children of Esau, which dwell in Seir; and they shall be afraid of you: take ye good heed unto yourselves therefore:

וַֽנַּעֲבֹר מֵאֵת אַחֵינוּ בְנֵֽי-עֵשָׂו הַיֹּֽשְׁבִים בְּשֵׂעִיר מִדֶּרֶךְ הָֽעֲרָבָה מֵֽאֵילַת וּמֵֽעֶצְיֹן גָּבֶר וַנֵּפֶן וַֽנַּעֲבֹר דֶּרֶךְ מִדְבַּר מוֹאָֽב׃

And when we passed by from our brethren the children of Esau, which dwelt in Seir, through the way of the plain from Elath, and from Ezion-gaber, we turned and passed by the way of the wilderness of Moab.

וַיֹּאמֶר יְהוָה אֵלַי אַל-תָּצַר אֶת-מוֹאָב וְאַל-תִּתְגָּר בָּם מִלְחָמָה כִּי לֹֽא-אֶתֵּן לְךָ מֵֽאַרְצוֹ יְרֻשָּׁה כִּי לִבְנֵי-לוֹט נָתַתִּי אֶת-עָר יְרֻשָּֽׁה׃

And the LORD said unto me, Distress not the Moabites, neither contend with them in battle: for I will not give thee of their land for a possession; because I have given Ar unto the children of Lot for a possession.

וּבְשֵׂעִיר יָֽשְׁבוּ הַֽחֹרִים לְפָנִים וּבְנֵי עֵשָׂו יִֽירָשׁוּם וַיַּשְׁמִידוּם מִפְּנֵיהֶם וַיֵּֽשְׁבוּ תַּחְתָּם כַּֽאֲשֶׁר עָשָׂה יִשְׂרָאֵל לְאֶרֶץ יְרֻשָּׁתוֹ אֲשֶׁר-נָתַן יְהוָה לָהֶֽם׃

The Horims also dwelt in Seir beforetime; but the children of Esau succeeded them, when they had destroyed them from before them, and dwelt in their stead; as Israel did unto the land of his possession, which the LORD gave unto them.

וְקָֽרַבְתָּ מוּל בְּנֵי עַמּוֹן אַל-תְּצֻרֵם וְאַל-תִּתְגָּר בָּם כִּי לֹֽא-אֶתֵּן מֵאֶרֶץ בְּנֵֽי-עַמּוֹן לְךָ יְרֻשָּׁה כִּי לִבְנֵי-לוֹט נְתַתִּיהָ יְרֻשָּֽׁה׃

And when thou comest nigh over against the children of Ammon, distress them not, nor meddle with them: for I will not give thee of the land of the children of Ammon any possession; because I have given it unto the children of Lot for a possession.

כַּֽאֲשֶׁר עָשָׂה לִבְנֵי עֵשָׂו הַיֹּֽשְׁבִים בְּשֵׂעִיר אֲשֶׁר הִשְׁמִיד אֶת-הַֽחֹרִי מִפְּנֵיהֶם וַיִּֽירָשֻׁם וַיֵּֽשְׁבוּ תַחְתָּם עַד הַיּוֹם הַזֶּֽה׃

As he did to the children of Esau, which dwelt in Seir, when he destroyed the Horims from before them; and they succeeded them, and dwelt in their stead even unto this day:

כַּֽאֲשֶׁר עָֽשׂוּ-לִי בְּנֵי עֵשָׂו הַיֹּֽשְׁבִים בְּשֵׂעִיר וְהַמּוֹאָבִים הַיֹּֽשְׁבִים בְּעָר עַד אֲשֶֽׁר-אֶעֱבֹר אֶת-הַיַּרְדֵּן אֶל-הָאָרֶץ אֲשֶׁר-יְהוָה אֱלֹהֵינוּ נֹתֵן לָֽנוּ׃

(As the children of Esau which dwell in Seir, and the Moabites which dwell in Ar, did unto me;) until I shall pass over Jordan into the land which the LORD our God giveth us.

וַֽיִּתְּנֵהוּ יְהוָה אֱלֹהֵינוּ לְפָנֵינוּ וַנַּךְ אֹתוֹ וְאֶת-‫(בנו)‬ בָּנָיו וְאֶת-כָּל-עַמּֽוֹ׃

And the LORD our God delivered him before us; and we smote him, and his sons, and all his people.

רַק אֶל-אֶרֶץ בְּנֵֽי-עַמּוֹן לֹא קָרָבְתָּ כָּל-יַד נַחַל יַבֹּק וְעָרֵי הָהָר וְכֹל אֲשֶׁר-צִוָּה יְהוָה אֱלֹהֵֽינוּ׃

Only unto the land of the children of Ammon thou camest not, nor unto any place of the river Jabbok, nor unto the cities in the mountains, nor unto whatsoever the LORD our God forbad us.
