וְהִנֵּה שִׁשָּׁה אֲנָשִׁים בָּאִים׀ מִדֶּרֶךְ-שַׁעַר הָעֶלְיוֹן אֲשֶׁר׀ מָפְנֶה צָפוֹנָה וְאִישׁ כְּלִי מַפָּצוֹ בְּיָדוֹ וְאִישׁ-אֶחָד בְּתוֹכָם לָבֻשׁ בַּדִּים וְקֶסֶת הַסֹּפֵר בְּמָתְנָיו וַיָּבֹאוּ וַיַּעַמְדוּ אֵצֶל מִזְבַּח הַנְּחֹֽשֶׁת׃
And, behold, six men came from the way of the higher gate, which lieth toward the north, and every man a slaughter weapon in his hand; and one man among them was clothed with linen, with a writer's inkhorn by his side: and they went in, and stood beside the brasen altar.
וַיִּשְׁלַח הַכְּרוּב אֶת-יָדוֹ מִבֵּינוֹת לַכְּרוּבִים אֶל-הָאֵשׁ אֲשֶׁר בֵּינוֹת הַכְּרֻבִים וַיִּשָּׂא וַיִּתֵּן אֶל-חָפְנֵי לְבֻשׁ הַבַּדִּים וַיִּקַּח וַיֵּצֵֽא׃
And one cherub stretched forth his hand from between the cherubims unto the fire that was between the cherubims, and took thereof, and put it into the hands of him that was clothed with linen: who took it, and went out.
וַיֵּרָא לַכְּרֻבִים תַּבְנִית יַד-אָדָם תַּחַת כַּנְפֵיהֶֽם׃
And there appeared in the cherubims the form of a man's hand under their wings.
וְכָל-בְּשָׂרָם וְגַבֵּהֶם וִֽידֵיהֶם וְכַנְפֵיהֶם וְהָאֽוֹפַנִּים מְלֵאִים עֵינַיִם סָבִיב לְאַרְבַּעְתָּם אוֹפַנֵּיהֶֽם׃
And their whole body, and their backs, and their hands, and their wings, and the wheels, were full of eyes round about, even the wheels that they four had.
אַרְבָּעָה אַרְבָּעָה פָנִים לְאֶחָד וְאַרְבַּע כְּנָפַיִם לְאֶחָד וּדְמוּת יְדֵי אָדָם תַּחַת כַּנְפֵיהֶֽם׃
Every one had four faces apiece, and every one four wings; and the likeness of the hands of a man was under their wings.
וְהוֹצֵאתִי אֶתְכֶם מִתּוֹכָהּ וְנָתַתִּי אֶתְכֶם בְּיַד-זָרִים וְעָשִׂיתִי בָכֶם שְׁפָטִֽים׃
And I will bring out you of the midst thereof, and deliver you into the hands of strangers, and will execute judgments among you.
וָאַעַשׂ כֵּן כַּאֲשֶׁר צֻוֵּיתִי כֵּלַי הוֹצֵאתִי כִּכְלֵי גוֹלָה יוֹמָם וּבָעֶרֶב חָתַֽרְתִּי-לִי בַקִּיר בְּיָד בָּעֲלָטָה הוֹצֵאתִי עַל-כָּתֵף נָשָׂאתִי לְעֵינֵיהֶֽם׃
And I did so as I was commanded: I brought forth my stuff by day, as stuff for captivity, and in the even I digged through the wall with mine hand; I brought it forth in the twilight, and I bare it upon my shoulder in their sight.
וְהָיְתָה יָדִי אֶֽל-הַנְּבִיאִים הַחֹזִים שָׁוְא וְהַקֹּסְמִים כָּזָב בְּסוֹד עַמִּי לֹֽא-יִהְיוּ וּבִכְתָב בֵּֽית-יִשְׂרָאֵל לֹא יִכָּתֵבוּ וְאֶל-אַדְמַת יִשְׂרָאֵל לֹא יָבֹאוּ וִידַעְתֶּם כִּי אֲנִי אֲדֹנָי יְהוִֽה׃
And mine hand shall be upon the prophets that see vanity, and that divine lies: they shall not be in the assembly of my people, neither shall they be written in the writing of the house of Israel, neither shall they enter into the land of Israel; and ye shall know that I am the Lord GOD.
וְאָמַרְתָּ כֹּה-אָמַר׀ אֲדֹנָי יְהוִה הוֹי לִֽמְתַפְּרוֹת כְּסָתוֹת עַל׀ כָּל-אַצִּילֵי יָדַי וְעֹשׂוֹת הַמִּסְפָּחוֹת עַל-רֹאשׁ כָּל-קוֹמָה לְצוֹדֵד נְפָשׁוֹת הַנְּפָשׁוֹת תְּצוֹדֵדְנָה לְעַמִּי וּנְפָשׁוֹת לָכֶנָה תְחַיֶּֽינָה׃
And say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Woe to the women that sew pillows to all armholes, and make kerchiefs upon the head of every stature to hunt souls! Will ye hunt the souls of my people, and will ye save the souls alive that come unto you?
וְקָרַעְתִּי אֶת-מִסְפְּחֹֽתֵיכֶם וְהִצַּלְתִּי אֶת-עַמִּי מִיֶּדְכֶן וְלֹֽא-יִהְיוּ עוֹד בְּיֶדְכֶן לִמְצוּדָה וִֽידַעְתֶּן כִּֽי-אֲנִי יְהוָֽה׃
Your kerchiefs also will I tear, and deliver my people out of your hand, and they shall be no more in your hand to be hunted; and ye shall know that I am the LORD.
יַעַן הַכְאוֹת לֵב-צַדִּיק שֶׁקֶר וַאֲנִי לֹא הִכְאַבְתִּיו וּלְחַזֵּק יְדֵי רָשָׁע לְבִלְתִּי-שׁוּב מִדַּרְכּוֹ הָרָע לְהַחֲיֹתֽוֹ׃
Because with lies ye have made the heart of the righteous sad, whom I have not made sad; and strengthened the hands of the wicked, that he should not return from his wicked way, by promising him life:
לָכֵן שָׁוְא לֹא תֶחֱזֶינָה וְקֶסֶם לֹא-תִקְסַמְנָה עוֹד וְהִצַּלְתִּי אֶת-עַמִּי מִיֶּדְכֶן וִֽידַעְתֶּן כִּֽי-אֲנִי יְהוָֽה׃
Therefore ye shall see no more vanity, nor divine divinations: for I will deliver my people out of your hand: and ye shall know that I am the LORD.
וְהַנָּבִיא כִֽי-יְפֻתֶּה וְדִבֶּר דָּבָר אֲנִי יְהוָה פִּתֵּיתִי אֵת הַנָּבִיא הַהוּא וְנָטִיתִי אֶת-יָדִי עָלָיו וְהִשְׁמַדְתִּיו מִתּוֹךְ עַמִּי יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃
And if the prophet be deceived when he hath spoken a thing, I the LORD have deceived that prophet, and I will stretch out my hand upon him, and will destroy him from the midst of my people Israel.
בֶּן-אָדָם אֶרֶץ כִּי תֶחֱטָא-לִי לִמְעָל-מַעַל וְנָטִיתִי יָדִי עָלֶיהָ וְשָׁבַרְתִּי לָהּ מַטֵּה-לָחֶם וְהִשְׁלַחְתִּי-בָהּ רָעָב וְהִכְרַתִּי מִמֶּנָּה אָדָם וּבְהֵמָֽה׃
Son of man, when the land sinneth against me by trespassing grievously, then will I stretch out mine hand upon it, and will break the staff of the bread thereof, and will send famine upon it, and will cut off man and beast from it:
וָאֶעְדֵּךְ עֶדִי וָאֶתְּנָה צְמִידִים עַל-יָדַיִךְ וְרָבִיד עַל-גְּרוֹנֵֽךְ׃
I decked thee also with ornaments, and I put bracelets upon thy hands, and a chain on thy neck.
וְהִנֵּה נָטִיתִי יָדִי עָלַיִךְ וָאֶגְרַע חֻקֵּךְ וָאֶתְּנֵךְ בְּנֶפֶשׁ שֹׂנְאוֹתַיִךְ בְּנוֹת פְּלִשְׁתִּים הַנִּכְלָמוֹת מִדַּרְכֵּךְ זִמָּֽה׃
Behold, therefore I have stretched out my hand over thee, and have diminished thine ordinary food, and delivered thee unto the will of them that hate thee, the daughters of the Philistines, which are ashamed of thy lewd way.
וְנָתַתִּי אוֹתָךְ בְּיָדָם וְהָרְסוּ גַבֵּךְ וְנִתְּצוּ רָמֹתַיִךְ וְהִפְשִׁיטוּ אוֹתָךְ בְּגָדַיִךְ וְלָקְחוּ כְּלֵי תִפְאַרְתֵּךְ וְהִנִּיחוּךְ עֵירֹם וְעֶרְיָֽה׃
And I will also give thee into their hand, and they shall throw down thine eminent place, and shall break down thy high places: they shall strip thee also of thy clothes, and shall take thy fair jewels, and leave thee naked and bare.
הִנֵּה-זֶה הָיָה עֲוֹן סְדֹם אֲחוֹתֵךְ גָּאוֹן שִׂבְעַת-לֶחֶם וְשַׁלְוַת הַשְׁקֵט הָיָה לָהּ וְלִבְנוֹתֶיהָ וְיַד-עָנִי וְאֶבְיוֹן לֹא הֶחֱזִֽיקָה׃
Behold, this was the iniquity of thy sister Sodom, pride, fulness of bread, and abundance of idleness was in her and in her daughters, neither did she strengthen the hand of the poor and needy.
וּבָזָה אָלָה לְהָפֵר בְּרִית וְהִנֵּה נָתַן יָדוֹ וְכָל-אֵלֶּה עָשָׂה לֹא יִמָּלֵֽט׃
Seeing he despised the oath by breaking the covenant, when, lo, he had given his hand, and hath done all these things, he shall not escape.
בַּנֶּשֶׁךְ לֹֽא-יִתֵּן וְתַרְבִּית לֹא יִקָּח מֵעָוֶל יָשִׁיב יָדוֹ מִשְׁפַּט אֱמֶת יַֽעֲשֶׂה בֵּין אִישׁ לְאִֽישׁ׃
He that hath not given forth upon usury, neither hath taken any increase, that hath withdrawn his hand from iniquity, hath executed true judgment between man and man,
מֵעָנִי הֵשִׁיב יָדוֹ נֶשֶׁךְ וְתַרְבִּית לֹא לָקָח מִשְׁפָּטַי עָשָׂה בְּחֻקּוֹתַי הָלָךְ הוּא לֹא יָמוּת בַּעֲוֺן אָבִיו חָיֹה יִחְיֶֽה׃
That hath taken off his hand from the poor, that hath not received usury nor increase, hath executed my judgments, hath walked in my statutes; he shall not die for the iniquity of his father, he shall surely live.
וְאָמַרְתָּ אֲלֵיהֶם כֹּֽה-אָמַר אֲדֹנָי יְהוִה בְּיוֹם בָּחֳרִי בְיִשְׂרָאֵל וָאֶשָּׂא יָדִי לְזֶרַע בֵּית יַֽעֲקֹב וָאִוָּדַע לָהֶם בְּאֶרֶץ מִצְרָיִם וָאֶשָּׂא יָדִי לָהֶם לֵאמֹר אֲנִי יְהוָה אֱלֹהֵיכֶֽם׃
And say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; In the day when I chose Israel, and lifted up mine hand unto the seed of the house of Jacob, and made myself known unto them in the land of Egypt, when I lifted up mine hand unto them, saying, I am the LORD your God;
בַּיּוֹם הַהוּא נָשָׂאתִי יָדִי לָהֶם לְהֽוֹצִיאָם מֵאֶרֶץ מִצְרָיִם אֶל-אֶרֶץ אֲשֶׁר-תַּרְתִּי לָהֶם זָבַת חָלָב וּדְבַשׁ צְבִי הִיא לְכָל-הָאֲרָצֽוֹת׃
In the day that I lifted up mine hand unto them, to bring them forth of the land of Egypt into a land that I had espied for them, flowing with milk and honey, which is the glory of all lands:
וְגַם-אֲנִי נָשָׂאתִי יָדִי לָהֶם בַּמִּדְבָּר לְבִלְתִּי הָבִיא אוֹתָם אֶל-הָאָרֶץ אֲשֶׁר-נָתַתִּי זָבַת חָלָב וּדְבַשׁ צְבִי הִיא לְכָל-הָאֲרָצֽוֹת׃
Yet also I lifted up my hand unto them in the wilderness, that I would not bring them into the land which I had given them, flowing with milk and honey, which is the glory of all lands;
וַהֲשִׁבֹתִי אֶת-יָדִי וָאַעַשׂ לְמַעַן שְׁמִי לְבִלְתִּי הֵחֵל לְעֵינֵי הַגּוֹיִם אֲשֶׁר-הוֹצֵאתִי אוֹתָם לְעֵינֵיהֶֽם׃
Nevertheless I withdrew mine hand, and wrought for my name's sake, that it should not be polluted in the sight of the heathen, in whose sight I brought them forth.
גַּם-אֲנִי נָשָׂאתִי אֶת-יָדִי לָהֶם בַּמִּדְבָּר לְהָפִיץ אֹתָם בַּגּוֹיִם וּלְזָרוֹת אוֹתָם בָּאֲרָצֽוֹת׃
I lifted up mine hand unto them also in the wilderness, that I would scatter them among the heathen, and disperse them through the countries;
וָאֲבִיאֵם אֶל-הָאָרֶץ אֲשֶׁר נָשָׂאתִי אֶת-יָדִי לָתֵת אוֹתָהּ לָהֶם וַיִּרְאוּ כָל-גִּבְעָה רָמָה וְכָל-עֵץ עָבֹת וַיִּזְבְּחוּ-שָׁם אֶת-זִבְחֵיהֶם וַיִּתְּנוּ-שָׁם כַּעַס קָרְבָּנָם וַיָּשִׂימוּ שָׁם רֵיחַ נִיחוֹחֵיהֶם וַיַּסִּיכוּ שָׁם אֶת-נִסְכֵּיהֶֽם׃
For when I had brought them into the land, for the which I lifted up mine hand to give it to them, then they saw every high hill, and all the thick trees, and they offered there their sacrifices, and there they presented the provocation of their offering: there also they made their sweet savour, and poured out there their drink offerings.
חַי-אָנִי נְאֻם אֲדֹנָי יְהוִה אִם-לֹא בְּיָד חֲזָקָה וּבִזְרוֹעַ נְטוּיָה וּבְחֵמָה שְׁפוּכָה אֶמְלוֹךְ עֲלֵיכֶֽם׃
As I live, saith the Lord GOD, surely with a mighty hand, and with a stretched out arm, and with fury poured out, will I rule over you:
וְהוֹצֵאתִי אֶתְכֶם מִן-הָעַמִּים וְקִבַּצְתִּי אֶתְכֶם מִן-הָאֲרָצוֹת אֲשֶׁר נְפוֹצֹתֶם בָּם בְּיָד חֲזָקָה וּבִזְרוֹעַ נְטוּיָה וּבְחֵמָה שְׁפוּכָֽה׃
And I will bring you out from the people, and will gather you out of the countries wherein ye are scattered, with a mighty hand, and with a stretched out arm, and with fury poured out.
וִֽידַעְתֶּם כִּֽי-אֲנִי יְהוָה בַּהֲבִיאִי אֶתְכֶם אֶל-אַדְמַת יִשְׂרָאֵל אֶל-הָאָרֶץ אֲשֶׁר נָשָׂאתִי אֶת-יָדִי לָתֵת אוֹתָהּ לַאֲבֽוֹתֵיכֶֽם׃
And ye shall know that I am the LORD, when I shall bring you into the land of Israel, into the country for the which I lifted up mine hand to give it to your fathers.
וְהָיָה כִּֽי-יֹאמְרוּ אֵלֶיךָ עַל-מָה אַתָּה נֶאֱנָח וְאָמַרְתָּ אֶל-שְׁמוּעָה כִֽי-בָאָה וְנָמֵס כָּל-לֵב וְרָפוּ כָל-יָדַיִם וְכִהֲתָה כָל-רוּחַ וְכָל-בִּרְכַּיִם תֵּלַכְנָה מַּיִם הִנֵּה בָאָה וְנִֽהְיָתָה נְאֻם אֲדֹנָי יְהוִֽה׃
And it shall be, when they say unto thee, Wherefore sighest thou? that thou shalt answer, For the tidings; because it cometh: and every heart shall melt, and all hands shall be feeble, and every spirit shall faint, and all knees shall be weak as water: behold, it cometh, and shall be brought to pass, saith the Lord GOD.
וַיִּתֵּן אֹתָהּ לְמָרְטָה לִתְפֹּשׂ בַּכָּף הִֽיא-הוּחַדָּה חֶרֶב וְהִיא מֹרָטָּה לָתֵת אוֹתָהּ בְּיַד-הוֹרֵֽג׃
And he hath given it to be furbished, that it may be handled: this sword is sharpened, and it is furbished, to give it into the hand of the slayer.
וְאַתָּה בֶן-אָדָם שִׂים-לְךָ׀ שְׁנַיִם דְּרָכִים לָבוֹא חֶרֶב מֶֽלֶךְ-בָּבֶל מֵאֶרֶץ אֶחָד יֵצְאוּ שְׁנֵיהֶם וְיָד בָּרֵא בְּרֹאשׁ דֶּֽרֶךְ-עִיר בָּרֵֽא׃
Also, thou son of man, appoint thee two ways, that the sword of the king of Babylon may come: both twain shall come forth out of one land: and choose thou a place, choose it at the head of the way to the city.
וְשָׁפַכְתִּי עָלַיִךְ זַעְמִי בְּאֵשׁ עֶבְרָתִי אָפִיחַ עָלָיִךְ וּנְתַתִּיךְ בְּיַד אֲנָשִׁים בֹּֽעֲרִים חָרָשֵׁי מַשְׁחִֽית׃
And I will pour out mine indignation upon thee, I will blow against thee in the fire of my wrath, and deliver thee into the hand of brutish men, and skilful to destroy.
הֲיַעֲמֹד לִבֵּךְ אִם-תֶּחֱזַקְנָה יָדַיִךְ לַיָּמִים אֲשֶׁר אֲנִי עֹשֶׂה אוֹתָךְ אֲנִי יְהוָה דִּבַּרְתִּי וְעָשִֽׂיתִי׃
Can thine heart endure, or can thine hands be strong, in the days that I shall deal with thee? I the LORD have spoken it, and will do it.
לָכֵן נְתַתִּיהָ בְּיַד-מְאַֽהֲבֶיהָ בְּיַד בְּנֵי אַשּׁוּר אֲשֶׁר עָגְבָה עֲלֵיהֶֽם׃
Wherefore I have delivered her into the hand of her lovers, into the hand of the Assyrians, upon whom she doted.
כִּי כֹה אָמַר אֲדֹנָי יְהוִה הִנְנִי נֹֽתְנָךְ בְּיַד אֲשֶׁר שָׂנֵאת בְּיַד אֲשֶׁר-נָקְעָה נַפְשֵׁךְ מֵהֶֽם׃
For thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will deliver thee into the hand of them whom thou hatest, into the hand of them from whom thy mind is alienated:
בְּדֶרֶךְ אֲחוֹתֵךְ הָלָכְתְּ וְנָתַתִּי כוֹסָהּ בְּיָדֵֽךְ׃
Thou hast walked in the way of thy sister; therefore will I give her cup into thine hand.
כִּי נִאֵפוּ וְדָם בִּֽידֵיהֶן וְאֶת-גִּלּֽוּלֵיהֶן נִאֵפוּ וְגַם אֶת-בְּנֵיהֶן אֲשֶׁר יָֽלְדוּ-לִי הֶעֱבִירוּ לָהֶם לְאָכְלָֽה׃
That they have committed adultery, and blood is in their hands, and with their idols have they committed adultery, and have also caused their sons, whom they bare unto me, to pass for them through the fire, to devour them.
וְקוֹל הָמוֹן שָׁלֵו בָהּ וְאֶל-אֲנָשִׁים מֵרֹב אָדָם מוּבָאִים (סובאים) סָבָאִים מִמִּדְבָּר וַֽיִּתְּנוּ צְמִידִים אֶל-יְדֵיהֶן וַעֲטֶרֶת תִּפְאֶרֶת עַל-רָאשֵׁיהֶֽן׃
And a voice of a multitude being at ease was with her: and with the men of the common sort were brought Sabeans from the wilderness, which put bracelets upon their hands, and beautiful crowns upon their heads.
וַאֲנָשִׁים צַדִּיקִם הֵמָּה יִשְׁפְּטוּ אֽוֹתְהֶם מִשְׁפַּט נֹֽאֲפוֹת וּמִשְׁפַּט שֹׁפְכוֹת דָּם כִּי נֹֽאֲפֹת הֵנָּה וְדָם בִּֽידֵיהֶֽן׃
And the righteous men, they shall judge them after the manner of adulteresses, and after the manner of women that shed blood; because they are adulteresses, and blood is in their hands.
כִּי כֹה אָמַר אֲדֹנָי יְהוִה יַעַן מַחְאֲךָ יָד וְרַקְעֲךָ בְּרָגֶל וַתִּשְׂמַח בְּכָל-שָֽׁאטְךָ בְּנֶפֶשׁ אֶל-אַדְמַת יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃
For thus saith the Lord GOD; Because thou hast clapped thine hands, and stamped with the feet, and rejoiced in heart with all thy despite against the land of Israel;
לָכֵן הִנְנִי נָטִיתִי אֶת-יָדִי עָלֶיךָ וּנְתַתִּיךָֽ (לבג) לְבַז לַגּוֹיִם וְהִכְרַתִּיךָ מִן-הָעַמִּים וְהַאֲבַדְתִּיךָ מִן-הָאֲרָצוֹת אַשְׁמִידְךָ וְיָדַעְתָּ כִּֽי-אֲנִי יְהוָֽה׃
Behold, therefore I will stretch out mine hand upon thee, and will deliver thee for a spoil to the heathen; and I will cut thee off from the people, and I will cause thee to perish out of the countries: I will destroy thee; and thou shalt know that I am the LORD.
לָכֵן כֹּה אָמַר אֲדֹנָי יְהוִה וְנָטִתִי יָדִי עַל-אֱדוֹם וְהִכְרַתִּי מִמֶּנָּה אָדָם וּבְהֵמָה וּנְתַתִּיהָ חָרְבָּה מִתֵּימָן וּדְדָנֶה בַּחֶרֶב יִפֹּֽלוּ׃
Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; I will also stretch out mine hand upon Edom, and will cut off man and beast from it; and I will make it desolate from Teman; and they of Dedan shall fall by the sword.
וְנָתַתִּי אֶת-נִקְמָתִי בֶּאֱדוֹם בְּיַד עַמִּי יִשְׂרָאֵל וְעָשׂוּ בֶאֱדוֹם כְּאַפִּי וְכַחֲמָתִי וְיָֽדְעוּ אֶת-נִקְמָתִי נְאֻם אֲדֹנָי יְהוִֽה׃
And I will lay my vengeance upon Edom by the hand of my people Israel: and they shall do in Edom according to mine anger and according to my fury; and they shall know my vengeance, saith the Lord GOD.
לָכֵן כֹּה אָמַר אֲדֹנָי יְהוִה הִנְנִי נוֹטֶה יָדִי עַל-פְּלִשְׁתִּים וְהִכְרַתִּי אֶת-כְּרֵתִים וְהַאֲבַדְתִּי אֶת-שְׁאֵרִית חוֹף הַיָּֽם׃
Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will stretch out mine hand upon the Philistines, and I will cut off the Cherethims, and destroy the remnant of the sea coast.
בְּנֵי דְדָן רֹֽכְלַיִךְ אִיִּים רַבִּים סְחֹרַת יָדֵךְ קַרְנוֹת שֵׁן (והובנים) וְהָבְנִים הֵשִׁיבוּ אֶשְׁכָּרֵֽךְ׃
The men of Dedan were thy merchants; many isles were the merchandise of thine hand: they brought thee for a present horns of ivory and ebony.
עֲרַב וְכָל-נְשִׂיאֵי קֵדָר הֵמָּה סֹחֲרֵי יָדֵךְ בְּכָרִים וְאֵילִים וְעַתּוּדִים בָּם סֹחֲרָֽיִךְ׃
Arabia, and all the princes of Kedar, they occupied with thee in lambs, and rams, and goats: in these were they thy merchants.
הֶאָמֹר תֹּאמַר אֱלֹהִים אָנִי לִפְנֵי הֹֽרְגֶךָ וְאַתָּה אָדָם וְלֹא-אֵל בְּיַד מְחַלְלֶֽיךָ׃
Wilt thou yet say before him that slayeth thee, I am God? but thou shalt be a man, and no God, in the hand of him that slayeth thee.
מוֹתֵי עֲרֵלִים תָּמוּת בְּיַד-זָרִים כִּי אֲנִי דִבַּרְתִּי נְאֻם אֲדֹנָי יְהוִֽה׃
Thou shalt die the deaths of the uncircumcised by the hand of strangers: for I have spoken it, saith the Lord GOD.
כֹּה אָמַר אֲדֹנָי יְהוִה וְהִשְׁבַּתִּי אֶת-הֲמוֹן מִצְרַיִם בְּיַד נְבוּכַדְרֶאצַּר מֶלֶךְ-בָּבֶֽל׃
Thus saith the Lord GOD; I will also make the multitude of Egypt to cease by the hand of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon.
וְנָתַתִּי יְאֹרִים חָֽרָבָה וּמָכַרְתִּי אֶת-הָאָרֶץ בְּיַד-רָעִים וַהֲשִׁמֹּתִי אֶרֶץ וּמְלֹאָהּ בְּיַד-זָרִים אֲנִי יְהוָה דִּבַּֽרְתִּי׃
And I will make the rivers dry, and sell the land into the hand of the wicked: and I will make the land waste, and all that is therein, by the hand of strangers: I the LORD have spoken it.
לָכֵן כֹּה-אָמַר׀ אֲדֹנָי יְהוִֹה הִנְנִי אֶל-פַּרְעֹה מֶֽלֶךְ-מִצְרַיִם וְשָֽׁבַרְתִּי אֶת-זְרֹעֹתָיו אֶת-הַחֲזָקָה וְאֶת-הַנִּשְׁבָּרֶת וְהִפַּלְתִּי אֶת-הַחֶרֶב מִיָּדֽוֹ׃
Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against Pharaoh king of Egypt, and will break his arms, the strong, and that which was broken; and I will cause the sword to fall out of his hand.
וְחִזַּקְתִּי אֶת-זְרֹעוֹת מֶלֶךְ בָּבֶל וְנָתַתִּי אֶת-חַרְבִּי בְּיָדוֹ וְשָׁבַרְתִּי אֶת-זְרֹעוֹת פַּרְעֹה וְנָאַק נַאֲקוֹת חָלָל לְפָנָֽיו׃
And I will strengthen the arms of the king of Babylon, and put my sword in his hand: but I will break Pharaoh's arms, and he shall groan before him with the groanings of a deadly wounded man.
וְהַחֲזַקְתִּי אֶת-זְרֹעוֹת מֶלֶךְ בָּבֶל וּזְרֹעוֹת פַּרְעֹה תִּפֹּלְנָה וְֽיָדְעוּ כִּֽי-אֲנִי יְהוָה בְּתִתִּי חַרְבִּי בְּיַד מֶֽלֶךְ-בָּבֶל וְנָטָה אוֹתָהּ אֶל-אֶרֶץ מִצְרָֽיִם׃
But I will strengthen the arms of the king of Babylon, and the arms of Pharaoh shall fall down; and they shall know that I am the LORD, when I shall put my sword into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he shall stretch it out upon the land of Egypt.
וְאֶתְּנֵהוּ בְּיַד אֵיל גּוֹיִם עָשׂוֹ יַֽעֲשֶׂה לוֹ כְּרִשְׁעוֹ גֵּרַשְׁתִּֽהוּ׃
I have therefore delivered him into the hand of the mighty one of the heathen; he shall surely deal with him: I have driven him out for his wickedness.
וְהַצֹּפֶה כִּֽי-יִרְאֶה אֶת-הַחֶרֶב בָּאָה וְלֹֽא-תָקַע בַּשּׁוֹפָר וְהָעָם לֹֽא-נִזְהָר וַתָּבוֹא חֶרֶב וַתִּקַּח מֵהֶם נָפֶשׁ הוּא בַּעֲוֺנוֹ נִלְקָח וְדָמוֹ מִיַּֽד-הַצֹּפֶה אֶדְרֹֽשׁ׃
But if the watchman see the sword come, and blow not the trumpet, and the people be not warned; if the sword come, and take any person from among them, he is taken away in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at the watchman's hand.
בְּאָמְרִי לָרָשָׁע רָשָׁע מוֹת תָּמוּת וְלֹא דִבַּרְתָּ לְהַזְהִיר רָשָׁע מִדַּרְכּוֹ הוּא רָשָׁע בַּעֲוֺנוֹ יָמוּת וְדָמוֹ מִיָּדְךָ אֲבַקֵּֽשׁ׃
When I say unto the wicked, O wicked man, thou shalt surely die; if thou dost not speak to warn the wicked from his way, that wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand.
וְיַד-יְהוָה הָיְתָה אֵלַי בָּעֶרֶב לִפְנֵי בּוֹא הַפָּלִיט וַיִּפְתַּח אֶת-פִּי עַד-בּוֹא אֵלַי בַּבֹּקֶר וַיִּפָּתַח פִּי וְלֹא נֶאֱלַמְתִּי עֽוֹד׃
Now the hand of the LORD was upon me in the evening, afore he that was escaped came; and had opened my mouth, until he came to me in the morning; and my mouth was opened, and I was no more dumb.
כֹּה-אָמַר אֲדֹנָי יְהוִה הִנְנִי אֶֽל-הָרֹעִים וְֽדָרַשְׁתִּי אֶת-צֹאנִי מִיָּדָם וְהִשְׁבַּתִּים מֵרְעוֹת צֹאן וְלֹא-יִרְעוּ עוֹד הָרֹעִים אוֹתָם וְהִצַּלְתִּי צֹאנִי מִפִּיהֶם וְלֹֽא-תִהְיֶיןָ לָהֶם לְאָכְלָֽה׃
Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against the shepherds; and I will require my flock at their hand, and cause them to cease from feeding the flock; neither shall the shepherds feed themselves any more; for I will deliver my flock from their mouth, that they may not be meat for them.
וְנָתַן עֵץ הַשָּׂדֶה אֶת-פִּרְיוֹ וְהָאָרֶץ תִּתֵּן יְבוּלָהּ וְהָיוּ עַל-אַדְמָתָם לָבֶטַח וְֽיָדְעוּ כִּי-אֲנִי יְהוָה בְּשִׁבְרִי אֶת-מֹטוֹת עֻלָּם וְהִצַּלְתִּים מִיַּד הָעֹבְדִים בָּהֶֽם׃
And the tree of the field shall yield her fruit, and the earth shall yield her increase, and they shall be safe in their land, and shall know that I am the LORD, when I have broken the bands of their yoke, and delivered them out of the hand of those that served themselves of them.
וְאָמַרְתָּ לּוֹ כֹּה אָמַר אֲדֹנָי יְהוִה הִנְנִי אֵלֶיךָ הַר-שֵׂעִיר וְנָטִיתִי יָדִי עָלֶיךָ וּנְתַתִּיךָ שְׁמָמָה וּמְשַׁמָּֽה׃
And say unto it, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, O mount Seir, I am against thee, and I will stretch out mine hand against thee, and I will make thee most desolate.
יַעַן הֱיוֹת לְךָ אֵיבַת עוֹלָם וַתַּגֵּר אֶת-בְּנֵֽי-יִשְׂרָאֵל עַל-יְדֵי-חָרֶב בְּעֵת אֵידָם בְּעֵת עֲוֹן קֵֽץ׃
Because thou hast had a perpetual hatred, and hast shed the blood of the children of Israel by the force of the sword in the time of their calamity, in the time that their iniquity had an end:
לָכֵן כֹּה אָמַר אֲדֹנָי יְהוִה אֲנִי נָשָׂאתִי אֶת-יָדִי אִם-לֹא הַגּוֹיִם אֲשֶׁר לָכֶם מִסָּבִיב הֵמָּה כְּלִמָּתָם יִשָּֽׂאוּ׃
Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; I have lifted up mine hand, Surely the heathen that are about you, they shall bear their shame.
הָיְתָה עָלַי יַד-יְהוָה וַיּוֹצִאֵנִי בְרוּחַ יְהוָה וַיְנִיחֵנִי בְּתוֹךְ הַבִּקְעָה וְהִיא מְלֵאָה עֲצָמֽוֹת׃
The hand of the LORD was upon me, and carried me out in the spirit of the LORD, and set me down in the midst of the valley which was full of bones,
וְקָרַב אֹתָם אֶחָד אֶל-אֶחָד לְךָ לְעֵץ אֶחָד וְהָיוּ לַאֲחָדִים בְּיָדֶֽךָ׃
And join them one to another into one stick; and they shall become one in thine hand.
דַּבֵּר אֲלֵהֶם כֹּֽה-אָמַר אֲדֹנָי יְהוִה הִנֵּה אֲנִי לֹקֵחַ אֶת-עֵץ יוֹסֵף אֲשֶׁר בְּיַד-אֶפְרַיִם וְשִׁבְטֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל (חברו) חֲבֵרָיו וְנָתַתִּי אוֹתָם עָלָיו אֶת-עֵץ יְהוּדָה וַֽעֲשִׂיתִם לְעֵץ אֶחָד וְהָיוּ אֶחָד בְּיָדִֽי׃
Say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will take the stick of Joseph, which is in the hand of Ephraim, and the tribes of Israel his fellows, and will put them with him, even with the stick of Judah, and make them one stick, and they shall be one in mine hand.
וְהָיוּ הָעֵצִים אֲֽשֶׁר-תִּכְתֹּב עֲלֵיהֶם בְּיָדְךָ לְעֵינֵיהֶֽם׃
And the sticks whereon thou writest shall be in thine hand before their eyes.
לִשְׁלֹל שָׁלָל וְלָבֹז בַּז לְהָשִׁיב יָדְךָ עַל-חֳרָבוֹת נוֹשָׁבוֹת וְאֶל-עַם מְאֻסָּף מִגּוֹיִם עֹשֶׂה מִקְנֶה וְקִנְיָן יֹשְׁבֵי עַל-טַבּוּר הָאָֽרֶץ׃
To take a spoil, and to take a prey; to turn thine hand upon the desolate places that are now inhabited, and upon the people that are gathered out of the nations, which have gotten cattle and goods, that dwell in the midst of the land.
כֹּֽה-אָמַר אֲדֹנָי יְהוִה הַֽאַתָּה-הוּא אֲשֶׁר-דִּבַּרְתִּי בְּיָמִים קַדְמוֹנִים בְּיַד עֲבָדַי נְבִיאֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל הַֽנִּבְּאִים בַּיָּמִים הָהֵם שָׁנִים לְהָבִיא אֹתְךָ עֲלֵיהֶֽם׃
Thus saith the Lord GOD; Art thou he of whom I have spoken in old time by my servants the prophets of Israel, which prophesied in those days many years that I would bring thee against them?
וְהִכֵּיתִי קַשְׁתְּךָ מִיַּד שְׂמֹאולֶךָ וְחִצֶּיךָ מִיַּד יְמִינְךָ אַפִּֽיל׃
And I will smite thy bow out of thy left hand, and will cause thine arrows to fall out of thy right hand.
וְֽיָצְאוּ יֹשְׁבֵי׀ עָרֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל וּבִעֲרוּ וְהִשִּׂיקוּ בְּנֶשֶׁק וּמָגֵן וְצִנָּה בְּקֶשֶׁת וּבְחִצִּים וּבְמַקֵּל יָד וּבְרֹמַח וּבִעֲרוּ בָהֶם אֵשׁ שֶׁבַע שָׁנִֽים׃
And they that dwell in the cities of Israel shall go forth, and shall set on fire and burn the weapons, both the shields and the bucklers, the bows and the arrows, and the handstaves, and the spears, and they shall burn them with fire seven years:
וְנָתַתִּי אֶת-כְּבוֹדִי בַּגּוֹיִם וְרָאוּ כָל-הַגּוֹיִם אֶת-מִשְׁפָּטִי אֲשֶׁר עָשִׂיתִי וְאֶת-יָדִי אֲשֶׁר-שַׂמְתִּי בָהֶֽם׃
And I will set my glory among the heathen, and all the heathen shall see my judgment that I have executed, and my hand that I have laid upon them.
וְיָדְעוּ הַגּוֹיִם כִּי בַעֲוֺנָם גָּלוּ בֵֽית-יִשְׂרָאֵל עַל אֲשֶׁר מָֽעֲלוּ-בִי וָאַסְתִּר פָּנַי מֵהֶם וָֽאֶתְּנֵם בְּיַד צָרֵיהֶם וַיִּפְּלוּ בַחֶרֶב כֻּלָּֽם׃
And the heathen shall know that the house of Israel went into captivity for their iniquity: because they trespassed against me, therefore hid I my face from them, and gave them into the hand of their enemies: so fell they all by the sword.
בְּעֶשְׂרִים וְחָמֵשׁ שָׁנָה לְגָלוּתֵנוּ בְּרֹאשׁ הַשָּׁנָה בֶּעָשׂוֹר לַחֹדֶשׁ בְּאַרְבַּע עֶשְׂרֵה שָׁנָה אַחַר אֲשֶׁר הֻכְּתָה הָעִיר בְּעֶצֶם׀ הַיּוֹם הַזֶּה הָיְתָה עָלַי יַד-יְהוָה וַיָּבֵא אֹתִי שָֽׁמָּה׃
In the five and twentieth year of our captivity, in the beginning of the year, in the tenth day of the month, in the fourteenth year after that the city was smitten, in the selfsame day the hand of the LORD was upon me, and brought me thither.
וַיָּבֵיא אוֹתִי שָׁמָּה וְהִנֵּה-אִישׁ מַרְאֵהוּ כְּמַרְאֵה נְחֹשֶׁת וּפְתִיל-פִּשְׁתִּים בְּיָדוֹ וּקְנֵה הַמִּדָּה וְהוּא עֹמֵד בַּשָּֽׁעַר׃
And he brought me thither, and, behold, there was a man, whose appearance was like the appearance of brass, with a line of flax in his hand, and a measuring reed; and he stood in the gate.
וְהִנֵּה חוֹמָה מִחוּץ לַבַּיִת סָבִיב׀ סָבִיב וּבְיַד הָאִישׁ קְנֵה הַמִּדָּה שֵׁשׁ-אַמּוֹת בָּֽאַמָּה וָטֹפַח וַיָּמָד אֶת-רֹחַב הַבִּנְיָן קָנֶה אֶחָד וְקוֹמָה קָנֶה אֶחָֽד׃
And behold a wall on the outside of the house round about, and in the man's hand a measuring reed of six cubits long by the cubit and an hand breadth: so he measured the breadth of the building, one reed; and the height, one reed.
שִׁבְעַת יָמִים יְכַפְּרוּ אֶת-הַמִּזְבֵּחַ וְטִֽהֲרוּ אֹתוֹ וּמִלְאוּ (ידו) יָדָֽיו׃
Seven days shall they purge the altar and purify it; and they shall consecrate themselves.
יַעַן אֲשֶׁר יְשָׁרְתוּ אוֹתָם לִפְנֵי גִלּֽוּלֵיהֶם וְהָיוּ לְבֵֽית-יִשְׂרָאֵל לְמִכְשׁוֹל עָוֹן עַל-כֵּן נָשָׂאתִי יָדִי עֲלֵיהֶם נְאֻם אֲדֹנָי יְהוִה וְנָשְׂאוּ עֲוֹנָֽם׃
Because they ministered unto them before their idols, and caused the house of Israel to fall into iniquity; therefore have I lifted up mine hand against them, saith the Lord GOD, and they shall bear their iniquity.
וּמִנְחָה אֵיפָה לָאַיִל וְלַכְּבָשִׂים מִנְחָה מַתַּת יָדוֹ וְשֶׁמֶן הִין לָאֵיפָֽה׃
And the meat offering shall be an ephah for a ram, and the meat offering for the lambs as he shall be able to give, and an hin of oil to an ephah.
וְאֵיפָה לַפָּר וְאֵיפָה לָאַיִל יַעֲשֶׂה מִנְחָה וְלַכְּבָשִׂים כַּאֲשֶׁר תַּשִּׂיג יָדוֹ וְשֶׁמֶן הִין לָאֵיפָֽה׃
And he shall prepare a meat offering, an ephah for a bullock, and an ephah for a ram, and for the lambs according as his hand shall attain unto, and an hin of oil to an ephah.
וּבַחַגִּים וּבַמּוֹעֲדִים תִּהְיֶה הַמִּנְחָה אֵיפָה לַפָּר וְאֵיפָה לָאַיִל וְלַכְּבָשִׂים מַתַּת יָדוֹ וְשֶׁמֶן הִין לָאֵיפָֽה׃
And in the feasts and in the solemnities the meat offering shall be an ephah to a bullock, and an ephah to a ram, and to the lambs as he is able to give, and an hin of oil to an ephah.
בְּצֵאת-הָאִישׁ קָדִים וְקָו בְּיָדוֹ וַיָּמָד אֶלֶף בָּֽאַמָּה וַיַּעֲבִרֵנִי בַמַּיִם מֵי אָפְסָֽיִם׃
And when the man that had the line in his hand went forth eastward, he measured a thousand cubits, and he brought me through the waters; the waters were to the ankles.
וּנְחַלְתֶּם אוֹתָהּ אִישׁ כְּאָחִיו אֲשֶׁר נָשָׂאתִי אֶת-יָדִי לְתִתָּהּ לַאֲבֹֽתֵיכֶם וְנָפְלָה הָאָרֶץ הַזֹּאת לָכֶם בְּנַחֲלָֽה׃
And ye shall inherit it, one as well as another: concerning the which I lifted up mine hand to give it unto your fathers: and this land shall fall unto you for inheritance.
וְאֵלֶּה שְׁמוֹת הַשְּׁבָטִים מִקְצֵה צָפוֹנָה אֶל-יַד דֶּֽרֶךְ-חֶתְלֹן׀ לְֽבוֹא-חֲמָת חֲצַר עֵינָן גְּבוּל דַּמֶּשֶׂק צָפוֹנָה אֶל-יַד חֲמָת וְהָיוּ-לוֹ פְאַת-קָדִים הַיָּם דָּן אֶחָֽד׃
Now these are the names of the tribes. From the north end to the coast of the way of Hethlon, as one goeth to Hamath, Hazar-enan, the border of Damascus northward, to the coast of Hamath; for these are his sides east and west; a portion for Dan.
וַיִּתֵּן אֲדֹנָי בְּיָדוֹ אֶת-יְהוֹיָקִים מֶֽלֶךְ-יְהוּדָה וּמִקְצָת כְּלֵי בֵית-הָֽאֱלֹהִים וַיְבִיאֵם אֶֽרֶץ-שִׁנְעָר בֵּית אֱלֹהָיו וְאֶת-הַכֵּלִים הֵבִיא בֵּית אוֹצַר אֱלֹהָֽיו׃
And the Lord gave Jehoiakim king of Judah into his hand, with part of the vessels of the house of God: which he carried into the land of Shinar to the house of his god; and he brought the vessels into the treasure house of his god.
וְכֹל דְּבַר חָכְמַת בִּינָה אֲשֶׁר-בִּקֵּשׁ מֵהֶם הַמֶּלֶךְ וַֽיִּמְצָאֵם עֶשֶׂר יָדוֹת עַל כָּל-הַֽחַרְטֻמִּים הָֽאַשָּׁפִים אֲשֶׁר בְּכָל-מַלְכוּתֽוֹ׃
And in all matters of wisdom and understanding, that the king inquired of them, he found them ten times better than all the magicians and astrologers that were in all his realm.
רָאִיתִי אֶת-הָאַיִל מְנַגֵּחַ יָמָּה וְצָפוֹנָה וָנֶגְבָּה וְכָל-חַיּוֹת לֹֽא-יַֽעַמְדוּ לְפָנָיו וְאֵין מַצִּיל מִיָּדוֹ וְעָשָׂה כִרְצֹנוֹ וְהִגְדִּֽיל׃
I saw the ram pushing westward, and northward, and southward; so that no beasts might stand before him, neither was there any that could deliver out of his hand; but he did according to his will, and became great.
וּרְאִיתִיו מַגִּיעַ׀ אֵצֶל הָאַיִל וַיִּתְמַרְמַר אֵלָיו וַיַּךְ אֶת-הָאַיִל וַיְשַׁבֵּר אֶת-שְׁתֵּי קְרָנָיו וְלֹא-הָיָה כֹחַ בָּאַיִל לַעֲמֹד לְפָנָיו וַיַּשְׁלִיכֵהוּ אַרְצָה וַֽיִּרְמְסֵהוּ וְלֹא-הָיָה מַצִּיל לָאַיִל מִיָּדֽוֹ׃
And I saw him come close unto the ram, and he was moved with choler against him, and smote the ram, and brake his two horns: and there was no power in the ram to stand before him, but he cast him down to the ground, and stamped upon him: and there was none that could deliver the ram out of his hand.
וְעַל-שִׂכְלוֹ וְהִצְלִיחַ מִרְמָה בְּיָדוֹ וּבִלְבָבוֹ יַגְדִּיל וּבְשַׁלְוָה יַשְׁחִית רַבִּים וְעַל שַׂר-שָׂרִים יַעֲמֹד וּבְאֶפֶס יָד יִשָּׁבֵֽר׃
And through his policy also he shall cause craft to prosper in his hand; and he shall magnify himself in his heart, and by peace shall destroy many: he shall also stand up against the Prince of princes; but he shall be broken without hand.
וְלֹא שָׁמַעְנוּ בְּקוֹל יְהוָה אֱלֹהֵינוּ לָלֶכֶת בְּתֽוֹרֹתָיו אֲשֶׁר נָתַן לְפָנֵינוּ בְּיַד עֲבָדָיו הַנְּבִיאִֽים׃
Neither have we obeyed the voice of the LORD our God, to walk in his laws, which he set before us by his servants the prophets.
וְעַתָּה׀ אֲדֹנָי אֱלֹהֵינוּ אֲשֶׁר הוֹצֵאתָ אֶֽת-עַמְּךָ מֵאֶרֶץ מִצְרַיִם בְּיָד חֲזָקָה וַתַּֽעַשׂ-לְךָ שֵׁם כַּיּוֹם הַזֶּה חָטָאנוּ רָשָֽׁעְנוּ׃
And now, O Lord our God, that hast brought thy people forth out of the land of Egypt with a mighty hand, and hast gotten thee renown, as at this day; we have sinned, we have done wickedly.
וּבְיוֹם עֶשְׂרִים וְאַרְבָּעָה לַחֹדֶשׁ הָרִאשׁוֹן וַאֲנִי הָיִיתִי עַל יַד הַנָּהָר הַגָּדוֹל הוּא חִדָּֽקֶל׃
And in the four and twentieth day of the first month, as I was by the side of the great river, which is Hiddekel;
וְהִנֵּה-יָד נָגְעָה בִּי וַתְּנִיעֵנִי עַל-בִּרְכַּי וְכַפּוֹת יָדָֽי׃
And, behold, an hand touched me, which set me upon my knees and upon the palms of my hands.
וְיִתְמַרְמַר מֶלֶךְ הַנֶּגֶב וְיָצָא וְנִלְחַם עִמּוֹ עִם-מֶלֶךְ הַצָּפוֹן וְהֶעֱמִיד הָמוֹן רָב וְנִתַּן הֶהָמוֹן בְּיָדֽוֹ׃
And the king of the south shall be moved with choler, and shall come forth and fight with him, even with the king of the north: and he shall set forth a great multitude; but the multitude shall be given into his hand.
וְיַעַשׂ הַבָּא אֵלָיו כִּרְצוֹנוֹ וְאֵין עוֹמֵד לְפָנָיו וְיַעֲמֹד בְּאֶֽרֶץ-הַצְּבִי וְכָלָה בְיָדֽוֹ׃
But he that cometh against him shall do according to his own will, and none shall stand before him: and he shall stand in the glorious land, which by his hand shall be consumed.
וּבָא בְּאֶרֶץ הַצְּבִי וְרַבּוֹת יִכָּשֵׁלוּ וְאֵלֶּה יִמָּלְטוּ מִיָּדוֹ אֱדוֹם וּמוֹאָב וְרֵאשִׁית בְּנֵי עַמּֽוֹן׃
He shall enter also into the glorious land, and many countries shall be overthrown: but these shall escape out of his hand, even Edom, and Moab, and the chief of the children of Ammon.
וְיִשְׁלַח יָדוֹ בַּאֲרָצוֹת וְאֶרֶץ מִצְרַיִם לֹא תִהְיֶה לִפְלֵיטָֽה׃
He shall stretch forth his hand also upon the countries: and the land of Egypt shall not escape.
וָאֶשְׁמַע אֶת-הָאִישׁ׀ לְבוּשׁ הַבַּדִּים אֲשֶׁר מִמַּעַל לְמֵימֵי הַיְאֹר וַיָּרֶם יְמִינוֹ וּשְׂמֹאלוֹ אֶל-הַשָּׁמַיִם וַיִּשָּׁבַע בְּחֵי הָעוֹלָם כִּי לְמוֹעֵד מֽוֹעֲדִים וָחֵצִי וּכְכַלּוֹת נַפֵּץ יַד-עַם-קֹדֶשׁ תִּכְלֶינָה כָל-אֵֽלֶּה׃
And I heard the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the river, when he held up his right hand and his left hand unto heaven, and sware by him that liveth for ever that it shall be for a time, times, and an half; and when he shall have accomplished to scatter the power of the holy people, all these things shall be finished.
וְעַתָּה אֲגַלֶּה אֶת-נַבְלֻתָהּ לְעֵינֵי מְאַהֲבֶיהָ וְאִישׁ לֹֽא-יַצִּילֶנָּה מִיָּדִֽי׃
And now will I discover her lewdness in the sight of her lovers, and none shall deliver her out of mine hand.
