What is my reward then? Verily that, when I preach the gospel, I may make the gospel of without Christ charge, that I abuse not my power in the gospel.

But take heed lest by any means this liberty of yours become a stumblingblock to them that are weak.
οὐδὲ δωρεὰν ἄρτον ἐφάγομεν παρά τινος ἀλλ' ἐν κόπῳ καὶ μόχθῳ νύκτα καὶ ἡμέραν ἐργαζόμενοι πρὸς τὸ μὴ ἐπιβαρῆσαί τινα ὑμῶν·
Neither did we eat any man's bread for nought; but wrought with labour and travail night and day, that we might be to not chargeable any of you:
τί γάρ ἐστιν ὃ ἡττήθητε ὑπὲρ τὰς λοιπὰς ἐκκλησίας εἰ μὴ ὅτι αὐτὸς ἐγὼ οὐ κατενάρκησα ὑμῶν χαρίσασθέ μοι τὴν ἀδικίαν ταύτην
For what is it wherein ye were inferior to other churches, except it be that I myself was not burdensome to you? forgive me this wrong.
καθὼς κἀγὼ πάντα πᾶσιν ἀρέσκω μὴ ζητῶν τὸ ἐμαυτοῦ σύμφερον ἀλλὰ τὸ τῶν πολλῶν ἵνα σωθῶσιν
Even as I please all men in all things, not seeking mine own profit, but the profit of many, that they may be saved.
καὶ οἱ χρώμενοι τῳ κόσμῳ τούτῳ ὡς μὴ καταχρώμενοι· παράγει γὰρ τὸ σχῆμα τοῦ κόσμου τούτου
And they that use this world, as not abusing it: for the fashion of this world passeth away.
οὐ γὰρ ἑαυτοὺς κηρύσσομεν ἀλλὰ Χριστὸν Ἰησοῦν κύριον ἑαυτοὺς δὲ δούλους ὑμῶν διὰ Ἰησοῦν
For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus' sake.
ἢ μόνος ἐγὼ καὶ Βαρναβᾶς οὐκ ἔχομεν ἐξουσίαν τοῦ μὴ ἐργάζεσθαι
Or I only and Barnabas, have we not power to forbear working?
εἰ δὲ διὰ βρῶμα ὁ ἀδελφός σου λυπεῖται οὐκέτι κατὰ ἀγάπην περιπατεῖς· μὴ τῷ βρώματί σου ἐκεῖνον ἀπόλλυε ὑπὲρ οὗ Χριστὸς ἀπέθανεν
But if thy brother be grieved with thy meat, now walkest thou not charitably. Destroy not him with thy meat, for whom Christ died.
