וְאָמְרוּ נוֹאָשׁ כִּֽי-אַחֲרֵי מַחְשְׁבוֹתֵינוּ נֵלֵךְ וְאִישׁ שְׁרִרוּת לִבּֽוֹ-הָרָע נַעֲשֶֽׂה׃
And they said, There is no hope: but we will walk after our own devices, and we will every one do the imagination of his evil heart.
ὥστε ὁ δοκῶν ἑστάναι βλεπέτω μὴ πέσῃ
Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall.
Βλέπετε μὴ παραιτήσησθε τὸν λαλοῦντα· εἰ γὰρ ἐκεῖνοι οὐκ ἔφυγον τὸν ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς παραιτησάμενοι χρηματίζοντα πολλῷ μᾶλλον ἡμεῖς οἱ τὸν ἀπ' οὐρανῶν ἀποστρεφόμενοι
See ye that refuse not him that speaketh. For if they escaped not who refused him that spake on earth, much more shall not we escape, if we turn away from him that speaketh from heaven:
ὁ δὲ δίκαιός ἐκ πίστεως ζήσεται καὶ ἐὰν ὑποστείληται οὐκ εὐδοκεῖ ἡ ψυχή μου ἐν αὐτῷ
Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him.

Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is.
בָּעֵת הַהִיא יִקְרְאוּ לִירוּשָׁלִַם כִּסֵּא יְהוָה וְנִקְוּוּ אֵלֶיהָ כָֽל-הַגּוֹיִם לְשֵׁם יְהוָה לִירוּשָׁלִָם וְלֹא-יֵלְכוּ עוֹד אַחֲרֵי שְׁרִרוּת לִבָּם הָרָֽע׃
At that time they shall call Jerusalem the throne of the LORD; and all the nations shall be gathered unto it, to the name of the LORD, to Jerusalem: neither shall they walk any more after the imagination of their evil heart.
כִּֽי-שְׁתַּיִם רָעוֹת עָשָׂה עַמִּי אֹתִי עָזְבוּ מְקוֹר׀ מַיִם חַיִּים לַחְצֹב לָהֶם בֹּארוֹת בֹּארֹת נִשְׁבָּרִים אֲשֶׁר לֹא-יָכִלוּ הַמָּֽיִם׃
For my people have committed two evils; they have forsaken me the fountain of living waters, and hewed them out cisterns, broken cisterns, that can hold no water.
הָאֹמְרִים לָאֵל סוּר מִמֶּנּוּ וּמַה-יִּפְעַל שַׁדַּי לָֽמוֹ׃
Which said unto God, Depart from us: and what can the Almighty do for them?
Διὰ τοῦτο δεῖ περισσοτέρως ἡμᾶς προσέχειν τοῖς ἀκουσθεῖσιν μήποτε παραῤῥυῶμεν
Therefore we ought to give heed the more earnest to the things which we have heard, lest at any time we should let them slip.
כִּֽי-שָׁמַרְתִּי דַּרְכֵי יְהוָה וְלֹֽא-רָשַׁעְתִּי מֵאֱלֹהָֽי׃
For I have kept the ways of the LORD, and have not wickedly departed from my God.
