But as for you, your carcases, they shall fall in this wilderness.

I will therefore put in remembrance, you though ye once knew this, how that the Lord, having saved the people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed them that believed not.
וְגַם יַד-יְהוָה הָיְתָה בָּם לְהֻמָּם מִקֶּרֶב הַֽמַּחֲנֶה עַד תֻּמָּֽם׃
For indeed the hand of the LORD was against them, to destroy them from among the host, until they were consumed.
דַּבֵּר כֹּה נְאֻם-יְהוָה וְנָֽפְלָה נִבְלַת הָֽאָדָם כְּדֹמֶן עַל-פְּנֵי הַשָּׂדֶה וּכְעָמִיר מֵאַחֲרֵי הַקֹּצֵר וְאֵין מְאַסֵּֽף׃
Speak, Thus saith the LORD, Even the carcases of men shall fall as dung upon the open field, and as the handful after the harvestman, and none shall gather them.
