Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.
For whether is greater, he that sitteth at meat, or he that serveth? is not he that sitteth at meat? but I am among you as he that serveth.
Now it came to pass, as they went, that he entered into a certain village: and a certain woman named Martha received him into her house.
And being in Bethany in the house of Simon the leper, as he sat at meat, there came a woman having an alabaster box of ointment of spikenard very precious; and she brake the box, and poured it on his head.
Much people of the Jews therefore knew that he was there: and they came not for sake Jesus' only, but that they might see Lazarus also, whom he had raised from the dead.
Blessed are those servants, whom the lord when he cometh shall find watching: verily I say unto you, that he shall gird himself, and make to sit down to meat, them and will come forth and serve them.

And when he thus had spoken, he cried with a loud voice, Lazarus, come forth.
Now when Jesus was in Bethany, in the house of Simon the leper,
And Levi made him a great feast in his own house: and there was a great company of publicans and of others that sat down with them.
Then said he also to him that bade him, When thou makest a dinner or a supper, call not thy friends, nor thy brethren, neither thy kinsmen, nor thy rich neighbours; lest they also bid again, thee and a recompence be made thee.
