Then the moon shall be confounded, and the sun ashamed, when the LORD of hosts shall reign in mount Zion, and in Jerusalem, and before his ancients gloriously.
Ἥξει δὲ ᾗ ἡμέρα κυρίου ὡς κλέπτης ἐν νυκτὶ ἐν ἡ οἱ οὐρανοὶ ῥοιζηδὸν παρελεύσονται στοιχεῖα δὲ καυσούμενα λυθήσονται καὶ γῆ καὶ τὰ ἐν αὐτῇ ἔργα κατακαήσεται
But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.
עַל-כֵּן שָׁמַיִם אַרְגִּיז וְתִרְעַשׁ הָאָרֶץ מִמְּקוֹמָהּ בְּעֶבְרַת יְהוָה צְבָאוֹת וּבְיוֹם חֲרוֹן אַפּֽוֹ׃
Therefore I will shake the heavens, and the earth shall remove out of her place, in the wrath of the LORD of hosts, and in the day of his fierce anger.

And it shall come to pass in that day, saith the Lord GOD, that I will cause the sun to go down at noon, and I will darken the earth in the clear day:

And I will shew wonders in heaven above, and signs in the earth beneath; blood, and fire, and vapour of smoke:
וְאָֽנֹכִי יְהוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ רֹגַע הַיָּם וַיֶּהֱמוּ גַּלָּיו יְהוָה צְבָאוֹת שְׁמֽוֹ׃
But I am the LORD thy God, that divided the sea, whose waves roared: The LORD of hosts is his name.
נָשְׂאוּ נְהָרוֹת׀ יְֽהוָה נָשְׂאוּ נְהָרוֹת קוֹלָם יִשְׂאוּ נְהָרוֹת דָּכְיָֽם׃
The floods have lifted up, O LORD, the floods have lifted up their voice; the floods lift up their waves.
καὶ τότε ὄψονται τὸν υἱὸν τοῦ ἀνθρώπου ἐρχόμενον ἐν νεφέλαις μετὰ δυνάμεως πολλῆς καὶ δόξης
And then shall they see the Son of man coming in the clouds with great power and glory.
ἀλλ' ἐν ἐκείναις ταῖς ἡμέραις μετὰ τὴν θλῖψιν ἐκείνην ὁ ἥλιος σκοτισθήσεται καὶ ἡ σελήνη οὐ δώσει τὸ φέγγος αὐτῆς
But in those days, after that tribulation, the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light,
Εὐθέως δὲ μετὰ τὴν θλῖψιν τῶν ἡμερῶν ἐκείνων ὁ ἥλιος σκοτισθήσεται καὶ ἡ σελήνη οὐ δώσει τὸ φέγγος αὐτῆς καὶ οἱ ἀστέρες πεσοῦνται ἀπὸ τοῦ οὐρανοῦ καὶ αἱ δυνάμεις τῶν οὐρανῶν σαλευθήσονται
Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the be sun darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:
יֶהֱמוּ יֶחְמְרוּ מֵימָיו יִרְעֲשֽׁוּ הָרִים בְּגַאֲוָתוֹ סֶֽלָה׃
Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof. Selah.
γενομένης δὲ ὥρας ἕκτης σκότος ἐγένετο ἐφ' ὅλην τὴν γῆν ἕως ὥρας ἐννάτης
And when the sixth hour was come, there was darkness over the whole land until the ninth hour.
עַל-כֵּן אָמַרְתִּי שְׁעוּ מִנִּי אֲמָרֵר בַּבֶּכִי אַל-תָּאִיצוּ לְנַֽחֲמֵנִי עַל-שֹׁד בַּת-עַמִּֽי׃
Therefore said I, Look away from me; I will weep bitterly, labour not to comfort me, because of the spoiling of the daughter of my people.
רָאִיתִי אֶת-הָאָרֶץ וְהִנֵּה-תֹהוּ וָבֹהוּ וְאֶל-הַשָּׁמַיִם וְאֵין אוֹרָֽם׃
I beheld the earth, and, lo, it was without form, and void; and the heavens, and they had no light.
