And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent;
וַיֹּאמֶר יְהוָה אֶל-מֹשֶׁה דַּבֵּר אֶל-אַֽהֲרֹן אָחִיךָ וְאַל-יָבֹא בְכָל-עֵת אֶל-הַקֹּדֶשׁ מִבֵּית לַפָּרֹכֶת אֶל-פְּנֵי הַכַּפֹּרֶת אֲשֶׁר עַל-הָֽאָרֹן וְלֹא יָמוּת כִּי בֶּֽעָנָן אֵֽרָאֶה עַל-הַכַּפֹּֽרֶת׃
And the LORD said unto Moses, Speak unto Aaron thy brother, that he come not at all times into the holy place within the vail before the mercy seat, which is upon the ark; that he die not: for I will appear in the cloud upon the mercy seat.
וְעָשִׂיתָ פָרֹכֶת תְּכֵלֶת וְאַרְגָּמָן וְתוֹלַעַת שָׁנִי וְשֵׁשׁ מָשְׁזָר מַֽעֲשֵׂה חֹשֵׁב יַֽעֲשֶׂה אֹתָהּ כְּרֻבִֽים׃
And thou shalt make a vail of blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine twined linen of cunning work: with cherubims shall it be made:
Ἔχοντες οὖν ἀρχιερέα μέγαν διεληλυθότα τοὺς οὐρανούς Ἰησοῦν τὸν υἱὸν τοῦ θεοῦ κρατῶμεν τῆς ὁμολογίας
Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession.
ἣν ὡς ἄγκυραν ἔχομεν τῆς ψυχῆς ἀσφαλῆ τε καὶ βεβαίαν καὶ εἰσερχομένην εἰς τὸ ἐσώτερον τοῦ καταπετάσματος
Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast, and which entereth into that within the veil;
וַיִּקַּח וַיִּתֵּן אֶת-הָֽעֵדֻת אֶל-הָאָרֹן וַיָּשֶׂם אֶת-הַבַּדִּים עַל-הָֽאָרֹן וַיִּתֵּן אֶת-הַכַּפֹּרֶת עַל-הָֽאָרֹן מִלְמָֽעְלָה׃
And he took and put the testimony into the ark, and set the staves on the ark, and put the mercy seat above upon the ark:
וַיַּעַשׂ אֶת-בֵּֽית-קֹדֶשׁ הַקֳּדָשִׁים אָרְכּוֹ עַל-פְּנֵי רֹֽחַב-הַבַּיִת אַמּוֹת עֶשְׂרִים וְרָחְבּוֹ אַמּוֹת עֶשְׂרִים וַיְחַפֵּהוּ זָהָב טוֹב לְכִכָּרִים שֵׁשׁ מֵאֽוֹת׃
And he made the most holy house, the length whereof was according to the breadth of the house, twenty cubits, and the breadth thereof twenty cubits: and he overlaid it with fine gold, amounting to six hundred talents.
