Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice,
διὰ τοῦτο καὶ ὑμεῖς γίνεσθε ἕτοιμοι· ὅτι ᾗ ὥρᾳ οὐ δοκεῖτε ὁ υἱὸς τοῦ ἀνθρώπου ἔρχεται
Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.

Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom.

Behold, I will send my messenger, and he shall prepare the way before me: and the Lord, whom ye seek, shall suddenly come to his temple, even the messenger of the covenant, whom ye delight in: behold, he shall come, saith the LORD of hosts.
וְאָמַר בַּיּוֹם הַהוּא הִנֵּה אֱלֹהֵינוּ זֶה קִוִּינוּ לוֹ וְיֽוֹשִׁיעֵנוּ זֶה יְהוָה קִוִּינוּ לוֹ נָגִילָה וְנִשְׂמְחָה בִּישׁוּעָתֽוֹ׃
And it shall be said in that day, Lo, this is our God; we have waited for him, and he will save us: this is the LORD; we have waited for him, we will be glad and rejoice in his salvation.
לָכֵן כֹּה אֶעֱשֶׂה-לְּךָ יִשְׂרָאֵל עֵקֶב כִּֽי-זֹאת אֶֽעֱשֶׂה-לָּךְ הִכּוֹן לִקְרַאת-אֱלֹהֶיךָ יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃
Therefore thus will I do unto thee, O Israel: and because I will do this unto thee, prepare to meet thy God, O Israel.
εἶπεν δὲ αὐτῷ ὁ θεός Ἄφρων ταύτῃ τῇ νυκτὶ τὴν ψυχήν σου ἀπαιτοῦσιν ἀπὸ σοῦ· ἃ δὲ ἡτοίμασας τίνι ἔσται

For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame.

Before the LORD; for he cometh to judge the earth: with righteousness shall he judge the world, and the people with equity.

The lord of that servant will come in a day when he looketh for not him, and at an hour when he is not aware, and will cut in sunder, him and will appoint him his portion with the unbelievers.
Περὶ δὲ τῶν χρόνων καὶ τῶν καιρῶν ἀδελφοί οὐ χρείαν ἔχετε ὑμῖν γράφεσθαι
But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you.
καὶ ἐὰν ἔλθῃ ἐν τῇ δευτέρᾳ φυλακῇ καὶ ἐν τῇ τρίτῃ φυλακῇ ἔλθῃ καὶ εὕρῃ οὕτως μακάριοί εἰσιν οἱ δοῦλοι ἐκεῖνοι
And if he shall come in the second watch, or come in the third watch, and find them so, blessed are those servants.
προεφήτευσεν δὲ καὶ τούτοις ἕβδομος ἀπὸ Ἀδὰμ Ἑνὼχ λέγων Ἰδού ἦλθεν Κύριος ἐν μυριάσιν ἁγίαις αὐτοῦ

And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels,
βλέπετε ἀγρυπνεῖτε καὶ προσεύχεσθε· οὐκ οἴδατε γὰρ πότε ὁ καιρός ἐστιν
Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is.
χαίρωμεν καὶ ἀγαλλιῶμεθα καὶ δῶμεν τὴν δόξαν αὐτῷ ὅτι ἦλθεν ὁ γάμος τοῦ ἀρνίου καὶ ἡ γυνὴ αὐτοῦ ἡτοίμασεν ἑαυτήν
Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made ready. herself
