1 Thessalonians 3:4

καὶ γὰρ ὅτε πρὸς ὑμᾶς ἦμεν προελέγομεν ὑμῖν ὅτι μέλλομεν θλίβεσθαι καθὼς καὶ ἐγένετο καὶ οἴδατε

For verily, when we were with you, we told before you that we should suffer tribulation; even as it came to pass, and ye know.
