Truly the signs of an apostle were wrought among you in all patience, in signs, and wonders, and mighty deeds.
ἐγὼ γὰρ δώσω ὑμῖν στόμα καὶ σοφίαν ᾗ οὐ δυνήσονται ἀντειπεῖν οὐδὲ ἀντιστῆναι πάντες οἱ ἀντικείμενοι ὑμῖν
For I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to gainsay nor resist.
Οὐκ εἰμὶ ἀπόστολος οὐκ εἰμὶ ἐλεύθερος οὐχὶ Ἰησοῦν Χριστὸν τὸν κύριον ἡμῶν ἑώρακα οὐ τὸ ἔργον μου ὑμεῖς ἐστε ἐν κυρίῳ
Am I not an apostle? am I not free? have I not seen Jesus Christ our Lord? are not ye my work in the Lord?
Ἀμὴν λέγω ὑμῖν· ὅσα ἐὰν δήσητε ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς ἔσται δεδεμένα ἐν τῷ οὐρανῷ καὶ ὅσα ἐὰν λύσητε ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς ἔσται λελυμένα ἐν τῷ οὐρανῷ
Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.
ἐν τῷ ὀνόματι τοῦ κυρίου ἡμῶν Ἰησοῦ Χριστοῦ συναχθέντων ὑμῶν καὶ τοῦ ἐμοῦ πνεύματος σὺν τῇ δυνάμει τοῦ κυρίου ἡμῶν Ἰησοῦ Χριστοῦ
In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, when ye are gathered together, and my spirit, with the power of our Lord Jesus Christ,
Ἀρχόμεθα πάλιν ἑαυτοὺς συνιστάνειν εἴ μὴ χρῄζομεν ὥς τινες συστατικῶν ἐπιστολῶν πρὸς ὑμᾶς ἢ ἐξ ὑμῶν συστατικῶν
Do we begin again to commend ourselves? or need we, as some others, epistles of commendation to you, or letters of commendation from you?
τὰ γὰρ ὅπλα τῆς στρατείας ἡμῶν οὐ σαρκικὰ ἀλλὰ δυνατὰ τῷ θεῷ πρὸς καθαίρεσιν ὀχυρωμάτων
(For the through weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty God to the pulling down of strong holds;)
ἱκανὸν τῷ τοιούτῳ ἡ ἐπιτιμία αὕτη ἡ ὑπὸ τῶν πλειόνων
Sufficient to such a man is this punishment, which was inflicted of many.
ᾧ δέ τι χαρίζεσθε καὶ ἐγὼ καὶ γὰρ ἐγώ· εἴ τι κεχάρισμαι ᾧ κεχάρισμαι δι' ὑμᾶς ἐν προσώπῳ Χριστοῦ
To whom ye forgive any thing, I forgive also: for if I forgave any thing, to whom I forgave it, for your sakes forgave I it in the person of Christ;
