Whom Jason hath received: and these all do contrary to the decrees of Caesar, saying that there is another king, one Jesus.

And they began to accuse him, saying, We found this fellow perverting the nation, and forbidding to give tribute to Caesar, saying that he himself is Christ a King.
ἐκ τούτου ἐζήτει ὁ Πιλᾶτος ἀπολῦσαι αὐτόν· οἱ δὲ Ἰουδαῖοι ἔκραζον λέγοντες Ἐὰν τοῦτον ἀπολύσῃς οὐκ εἶ φίλος τοῦ Καίσαρος· πᾶς ὁ βασιλέα αὐτόν ποιῶν ἀντιλέγει τῷ Καίσαρι
And from thenceforth Pilate sought to release him: but the Jews cried out, saying, If thou let this man go, thou art not Caesar's friend: whosoever maketh himself a king speaketh against Caesar.
καὶ καταγγέλλουσιν ἔθη ἃ οὐκ ἔξεστιν ἡμῖν παραδέχεσθαι οὐδὲ ποιεῖν Ῥωμαίοις οὖσιν
And teach customs, which are not lawful for us to receive, neither to observe, being Romans.
ἀπολογουμένου αὐτοῦ ὅτι Οὔτε εἰς τὸν νόμον τῶν Ἰουδαίων οὔτε εἰς τὸ ἱερὸν οὔτε εἰς Καίσαρά τι ἥμαρτον
While he answered for himself, Neither against the law of the Jews, neither against the temple, nor yet against Caesar, have I offended any thing at all.
יְדִיעַ לֶֽהֱוֵא לְמַלְכָּא דִּי יְהֽוּדָיֵא דִּי סְלִקוּ מִן-לְוָתָךְ עֲלֶינָא אֲתוֹ לִירֽוּשְׁלֶם קִרְיְתָא מָֽרָדְתָּא (ובאישתא) וּבִֽישְׁתָּא בָּנַיִן (ושורי) וְשׁוּרַיָּא (אשכללו) שַׁכְלִילוּ וְאֻשַּׁיָּא יַחִֽיטוּ׃
Be it known unto the king, that the Jews which came up from thee to us are come unto Jerusalem, building the rebellious and the bad city, and have set up the walls thereof, and joined the foundations.
אִיתַי גֻּבְרִין יְהוּדָאיִן דִּֽי-מַנִּיתָ יָתְהוֹן עַל-עֲבִידַת מְדִינַת בָּבֶל שַׁדְרַךְ מֵישַׁךְ וַעֲבֵד נְגוֹ גֻּבְרַיָּא אִלֵּךְ לָא-שָׂמֽוּ עֲלָיךְ מַלְכָּא טְעֵם לֵֽאלָהָיךְ לָא פָלְחִין וּלְצֶלֶם דַּהֲבָא דִּי הֲקֵימְתָּ לָא סָגְדִֽין׃
There are certain Jews whom thou hast set over the affairs of the province of Babylon, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego; these men, O king, have not regarded thee: they serve not thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up.
ὅτι οὕτως ἐστὶν τὸ θέλημα τοῦ θεοῦ ἀγαθοποιοῦντας φιμοῦν τὴν τῶν ἀφρόνων ἀνθρώπων ἀγνωσίαν
For so is the will of God, that with well doing ye may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men:
בֵּאדַיִן עֲנוֹ וְאָמְרִין קֳדָם מַלְכָּא דִּי דָנִיֵּאל דִּי מִן-בְּנֵי גָלוּתָא דִּי יְהוּד לָא-שָׂם (עליך) עֲלָךְ מַלְכָּא טְעֵם וְעַל-אֱסָרָא דִּי רְשַׁמְתָּ וְזִמְנִין תְּלָתָה בְּיוֹמָא בָּעֵא בָּעוּתֵֽהּ׃
Then answered they and said before the king, That Daniel, which is of the children of the captivity of Judah, regardeth not thee, O king, nor the decree that thou hast signed, but maketh his petition three times a day.
