Acts 5:29
ἀποκριθεὶς δὲ ὁ Πέτρος καὶ οἱ ἀπόστολοι εἶπον Πειθαρχεῖν δεῖ θεῷ μᾶλλον ἢ ἀνθρώποις
Then Peter and and the other apostles answered said, We ought to obey God rather than men.
2 Kings 18:35
מִי בְּכָל-אֱלֹהֵי הָֽאֲרָצוֹת אֲשֶׁר-הִצִּילוּ אֶת-אַרְצָם מִיָּדִי כִּֽי-יַצִּיל יְהוָה אֶת-יְרֽוּשָׁלִַם מִיָּדִֽי׃
Who are they among all the gods of the countries, that have delivered their country out of mine hand, that the LORD should deliver Jerusalem out of mine hand?
2 Chronicles 32:15
וְעַתָּה אַל-יַשִּׁיא אֶתְכֶם חִזְקִיָּהוּ וְאַל-יַסִּית אֶתְכֶם כָּזֹאת וְאַל-תַּֽאֲמִינוּ לוֹ כִּי-לֹא יוּכַל כָּל-אֱלוֹהַ כָּל-גּוֹי וּמַמְלָכָה לְהַצִּיל עַמּוֹ מִיָּדִי וּמִיַּד אֲבוֹתָי אַף כִּי אֱֽלֹהֵיכֶם לֹֽא-יַצִּילוּ אֶתְכֶם מִיָּדִֽי׃
Now therefore let not Hezekiah deceive you, nor persuade you on this manner, neither yet believe him: for no god of any nation or kingdom was able to deliver his people out of mine hand, and out of the hand of my fathers: how much less shall your God deliver you out of mine hand?
Exodus 5:2
וַיֹּאמֶר פַּרְעֹה מִי יְהוָה אֲשֶׁר אֶשְׁמַע בְּקֹלוֹ לְשַׁלַּח אֶת-יִשְׂרָאֵל לֹא יָדַעְתִּי אֶת-יְהוָה וְגַם אֶת-יִשְׂרָאֵל לֹא אֲשַׁלֵּֽחַ׃
And Pharaoh said, Who is the LORD, that I should obey his voice to let Israel go? I know not the LORD, neither will I let Israel go.
Daniel 3:17
הֵן אִיתַי אֱלָהַנָא דִּֽי-אֲנַחְנָא פָֽלְחִין יָכִל לְשֵׁיזָבוּתַנָא מִן-אַתּוּן נוּרָא יָקִֽדְתָּא וּמִן-יְדָךְ מַלְכָּא יְשֵׁיזִֽב׃
If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, he will deliver us and out of thine hand, O king.
Acts 4:8
τότε Πέτρος πλησθεὶς πνεύματος ἁγίου εἶπεν πρὸς αὐτούς Ἄρχοντες τοῦ λαοῦ καὶ πρεσβύτεροι τοῦ Ἰσραὴλ
Then Peter, filled with the Holy Ghost, said unto them, Ye rulers of the people, and elders of Israel,
Isaiah 36:18
פֶּן-יַסִּית אֶתְכֶם חִזְקִיָּהוּ לֵאמֹר יְהוָה יַצִּילֵנוּ הַהִצִּילוּ אֱלֹהֵי הַגּוֹיִם אִישׁ אֶת-אַרְצוֹ מִיַּד מֶלֶךְ אַשּֽׁוּר׃
Beware lest Hezekiah persuade you, saying, The LORD will deliver us. Hath any of the gods of the nations delivered his land out of the hand of the king of Assyria?
Daniel 3:5
בְּעִדָּנָא דִּֽי-תִשְׁמְעוּן קָל קַרְנָא מַשְׁרוֹקִיתָא קַיתְרוֹס סַבְּכָא פְּסַנְתֵּרִין סוּמְפֹּנְיָה וְכֹל זְנֵי זְמָרָא תִּפְּלוּן וְתִסְגְּדוּן לְצֶלֶם דַּהֲבָא דִּי הֲקֵים נְבוּכַדְנֶצַּר מַלְכָּֽא׃
That at what time ye hear the sound of the cornet, flute, harp, sackbut, psaltery, dulcimer, and all kinds of musick, ye fall down and worship the golden image that Nebuchadnezzar the king hath set up:
Daniel 6:16
בֵּאדַיִן מַלְכָּא אֲמַר וְהַיְתִיו לְדָנִיֵּאל וּרְמוֹ לְגֻבָּא דִּי אַרְיָוָתָא עָנֵה מַלְכָּא וְאָמַר לְדָנִיֵּאל אֱלָהָךְ דִּי (אנתה) אַנְתְּ פָּֽלַֽח-לֵהּ בִּתְדִירָא הוּא יְשֵׁיזְבִנָּֽךְ׃
Then the king commanded, and they brought Daniel, and cast him into the den of lions. Now the king spake and said unto Daniel, Thy God whom thou servest continually, he will deliver thee.
Mark 13:11
ὅταν δὲ ἄγαγωσιν ὑμᾶς παραδιδόντες μὴ προμεριμνᾶτε τί λαλήσητε μηδὲ μελετᾶτε· ἀλλ' ὃ ἐὰν δοθῇ ὑμῖν ἐν ἐκείνῃ τῇ ὥρᾳ τοῦτο λαλεῖτε· οὐ γάρ ἐστε ὑμεῖς οἱ λαλοῦντες ἀλλὰ τὸ πνεῦμα τὸ ἅγιον
But when they shall lead you, and deliver you up, take no thought beforehand what ye shall speak, neither do ye premeditate: but whatsoever shall be given you in that hour, that speak ye: for it is not ye that speak, but the Holy Ghost.
Acts 4:19
ὁ δὲ Πέτρος καὶ Ἰωάννης ἀποκριθέντες πρὸς αὐτούς εἶπον Εἰ δίκαιόν ἐστιν ἐνώπιον τοῦ θεοῦ ὑμῶν ἀκούειν μᾶλλον ἢ τοῦ θεοῦ κρίνατε
But Peter and John answered and said unto them, Whether it be right in the sight of God to hearken unto you more than unto God, judge ye.
Luke 4:7
σὺ οὖν ἐὰν προσκυνήσῃς ἐνώπιον μοῦ ἔσται σοῦ πάντα
If thou therefore wilt worship me, all shall be thine.
Luke 12:11
ὅταν δὲ προσφέρωσιν ὑμᾶς ἐπὶ τὰς συναγωγὰς καὶ τὰς ἀρχὰς καὶ τὰς ἐξουσίας μὴ μεριμνᾶτε πῶς ἢ τί ἀπολογήσησθε ἢ τί εἴπητε·
And when they bring you unto the synagogues, and unto magistrates, and powers, take ye no thought how or what thing ye shall answer, or what ye shall say:
Isaiah 37:23
אֶת-מִי חֵרַפְתָּ וְגִדַּפְתָּ וְעַל-מִי הֲרִימוֹתָה קּוֹל וַתִּשָּׂא מָרוֹם עֵינֶיךָ אֶל-קְדוֹשׁ יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃
Whom hast thou reproached and blasphemed? and against whom hast thou exalted thy voice, and lifted up thine eyes on high? even against the Holy One of Israel.
Daniel 3:28
עָנֵה נְבֽוּכַדְנֶצַּר וְאָמַר בְּרִיךְ אֱלָהֲהוֹן דִּֽי-שַׁדְרַךְ מֵישַׁךְ וַעֲבֵד נְגוֹ דִּֽי-שְׁלַח מַלְאֲכֵהּ וְשֵׁיזִב לְעַבְדוֹהִי דִּי הִתְרְחִצוּ עֲלוֹהִי וּמִלַּת מַלְכָּא שַׁנִּיו וִיהַבוּ גֶשְׁמְיהוֹן דִּי לָֽא-יִפְלְחוּן וְלָֽא-יִסְגְּדוּן לְכָל-אֱלָהּ לָהֵן לֵאלָֽהֲהֽוֹן׃
Then Nebuchadnezzar spake, and said, Blessed be the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego, who hath sent his angel, and delivered his servants that trusted in him, and have changed the king's word, and yielded their bodies, that they might not serve nor worship any god, except their own God.
Acts 6:15
καὶ ἀτενίσαντες εἰς αὐτὸν ἅπάντες οἱ καθεζόμενοι ἐν τῷ συνεδρίῳ εἶδον τὸ πρόσωπον αὐτοῦ ὡσεὶ πρόσωπον ἀγγέλου
And all that sat in the council, looking stedfastly on him, saw his face as it had been the face of an angel.
Daniel 6:20
וּכְמִקְרְבֵהּ לְגֻבָּא לְדָנִיֵּאל בְּקָל עֲצִיב זְעִק עָנֵה מַלְכָּא וְאָמַר לְדָנִיֵּאל דָּֽנִיֵּאל עֲבֵד אֱלָהָא חַיָּא אֱלָהָךְ דִּי (אנתה) אַנְתְּ פָּֽלַֽח-לֵהּ בִּתְדִירָא הַיְכִל לְשֵׁיזָבוּתָךְ מִן-אַרְיָוָתָֽא׃
And when he came to the den, he cried with a lamentable voice unto Daniel: and the king spake and said to Daniel, O Daniel, servant of the living God, is thy God, whom thou servest continually, able to deliver thee from the lions?
Luke 21:14
θέσθε οὖν εἴς τὰς καρδίας ὑμῶν μὴ προμελετᾶν ἀπολογηθῆναι·
Settle it therefore in your hearts, not to meditate before what ye shall answer:
Luke 13:9
κἂν μὲν ποιήσῃ καρπὸν εἰ δὲ μήγε εἰς τὸ μέλλον· ἐκκόψεις αὐτήν
And if it bear fruit, well: and if not, then after that thou shalt cut down. it
Exodus 32:32
וְעַתָּה אִם-תִּשָּׂא חַטָּאתָם וְאִם-אַיִן מְחֵנִי נָא מִֽסִּפְרְךָ אֲשֶׁר כָּתָֽבְתָּ׃
Yet now, if thou wilt forgive their sin—; and if not, blot me, I pray thee, out of thy book which thou hast written.
