John 16:25
These things have I spoken unto you in proverbs: but the time cometh, when I shall no unto more speak you in proverbs, but I shall shew you plainly of the Father.

This parable spake Jesus unto them: but they understood not what things they were which he spake unto them.
ἐξῆλθον παρὰ τοῦ πατρὸς καὶ ἐλήλυθα εἰς τὸν κόσμον· πάλιν ἀφίημι τὸν κόσμον καὶ πορεύομαι πρὸς τὸν πατέρα
I came forth from the Father, and am come into the world: again, I leave the world, and go to the Father.
אַטֶּה לְמָשָׁל אָזְנִי אֶפְתַּח בְּכִנּוֹר חִידָתִֽי׃
I will incline mine ear to a parable: I will open my dark saying upon the harp.
Καὶ προσελθόντες οἱ μαθηταὶ εἶπον αὐτῷ Διατί ἐν παραβολαῖς λαλεῖς αὐτοῖς
And the disciples came, and said unto him, Why speakest thou unto them in parables?
אֶפְתְּחָה בְמָשָׁל פִּי אַבִּיעָה חִידוֹת מִנִּי-קֶֽדֶם׃
I will open my mouth in a parable: I will utter dark sayings of old:
Ἔχοντες οὖν τοιαύτην ἐλπίδα πολλῇ παῤῥησίᾳ χρώμεθα
Seeing then that we have such hope, we use great plainness of speech:
לְהָבִין מָשָׁל וּמְלִיצָה דִּבְרֵי חֲכָמִים וְחִידֹתָֽם׃
To understand a proverb, and the interpretation; the words of the wise, and their dark sayings.
ἀλλ' ἀπειπάμεθα τὰ κρυπτὰ τῆς αἰσχύνης μὴ περιπατοῦντες ἐν πανουργίᾳ μηδὲ δολοῦντες τὸν λόγον τοῦ θεοῦ ἀλλὰ τῇ φανερώσει τῆς ἀληθείας συνιστώντες ἑαυτοὺς πρὸς πᾶσαν συνείδησιν ἀνθρώπων ἐνώπιον τοῦ θεοῦ
But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling deceitfully; the word of God by but manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God.
ἀποσυναγώγους ποιήσουσιν ὑμᾶς· ἀλλ' ἔρχεται ὥρα ἵνα πᾶς ὁ ἀποκτείνας ὑμᾶς δόξῃ λατρείαν προσφέρειν τῷ θεῷ
They shall put you out of the synagogues: yea, the time cometh, that whosoever killeth you will think that he doeth God service.
Μικρὸν καὶ οὐ θεωρεῖτέ με καὶ πάλιν μικρὸν καὶ ὄψεσθέ με ὅτι ἐγὼ ὑπάγω πρὸς τὸν πατέρα
A little while, and ye shall not see me: and again, a little while, and ye shall see me, because I go to the Father.
τῇ δεξιᾷ οὖν τοῦ θεοῦ ὑψωθεὶς τήν τε ἐπαγγελίαν τοῦ ἁγίου πνεύματος λαβὼν παρὰ τοῦ πατρὸς ἐξέχεεν τοῦτο ὃ νὺν ὑμεῖς βλέπετε καὶ ἀκούετε
Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, he hath shed forth this, which ye now see and hear.
