Likewise also was not Rahab the harlot justified by works, when she had received the messengers, and had sent out them another way?
וַיִּשְׁלַח יְהוֹשֻׁעַ-בִּן-נוּן מִֽן-הַשִּׁטִּים שְׁנַֽיִם-אֲנָשִׁים מְרַגְּלִים חֶרֶשׁ לֵאמֹר לְכוּ רְאוּ אֶת-הָאָרֶץ וְאֶת-יְרִיחוֹ וַיֵּלְכוּ וַיָּבֹאוּ בֵּית-אִשָּׁה זוֹנָה וּשְׁמָהּ רָחָב וַיִּשְׁכְּבוּ-שָֽׁמָּה׃
And Joshua the son of Nun sent out of Shittim two men to spy secretly, saying, Go view the land, even Jericho. And they went, and came into an harlot's house, named Rahab, and lodged there.
וַתָּשָׁב נָֽעֳמִי וְרוּת הַמּֽוֹאֲבִיָּה כַלָּתָהּ עִמָּהּ הַשָּׁבָה מִשְּׂדֵי מוֹאָב וְהֵמָּה בָּאוּ בֵּית לֶחֶם בִּתְחִלַּת קְצִיר שְׂעֹרִֽים׃
So Naomi returned, and Ruth the Moabitess, her daughter in law, with her, which returned out of the country of Moab: and they came to Bethlehem in the beginning of barley harvest.
וְלִשְׁנַיִם הָֽאֲנָשִׁים הַֽמְרַגְּלִים אֶת-הָאָרֶץ אָמַר יְהוֹשֻׁעַ בֹּאוּ בֵּית-הָֽאִשָּׁה הַזּוֹנָה וְהוֹצִיאוּ מִשָּׁם אֶת-הָֽאִשָּׁה וְאֶת-כָּל-אֲשֶׁר-לָהּ כַּֽאֲשֶׁר נִשְׁבַּעְתֶּם לָֽהּ׃
But Joshua had said unto the two men that had spied out the country, Go into the harlot's house, and bring out thence the woman, and all that she hath, as ye sware unto her.
וַיִּשְׂאוּ לָהֶם נָשִׁים מֹֽאֲבִיּוֹת שֵׁם הָֽאַחַת עָרְפָּה וְשֵׁם הַשֵּׁנִית רוּת וַיֵּשְׁבוּ שָׁם כְּעֶשֶׂר שָׁנִֽים׃
And they took them wives of the women of Moab; the name of the one was Orpah, and the name of the other Ruth: and they dwelled there about ten years.
וְנַחְשׁוֹן הוֹלִיד אֶת-שַׂלְמָא וְשַׂלְמָא הוֹלִיד אֶת-בֹּֽעַז׃
And Nahshon begat Salma, and Salma begat Boaz,
וְשַׂלְמוֹן הוֹלִיד אֶת-בֹּעַז וּבֹעַז הוֹלִיד אֶת-עוֹבֵֽד׃
And Salmon begat Boaz, and Boaz begat Obed,
