כָּל-מַכֵּה-נֶפֶשׁ לְפִי עֵדִים יִרְצַח אֶת-הָֽרֹצֵחַ וְעֵד אֶחָד לֹֽא-יַעֲנֶה בְנֶפֶשׁ לָמֽוּת׃

וְהָיוּ לָכֶם הֶֽעָרִים לְמִקְלָט מִגֹּאֵל וְלֹא יָמוּת הָֽרֹצֵחַ עַד-עָמְדוֹ לִפְנֵי הָֽעֵדָה לַמִּשְׁפָּֽט׃
And they shall be unto you cities for refuge from the avenger; that the manslayer die not, until he stand before the congregation in judgment.
וְאַךְ אֶת-דִּמְכֶם לְנַפְשֹֽׁתֵיכֶם אֶדְרֹשׁ מִיַּד כָּל-חַיָּה אֶדְרְשֶׁנּוּ וּמִיַּד הָֽאָדָם מִיַּד אִישׁ אָחִיו אֶדְרֹשׁ אֶת-נֶפֶשׁ הָֽאָדָֽם׃

Then she spake, saying, They were wont to speak in old time, saying, They shall surely ask counsel at Abel: and so they ended the matter.
