But we are sure that the judgment of God is according to truth against them which commit such things.
ἐν τῷ λέγεσθαι Σήμερον ἐὰν τῆς φωνῆς αὐτοῦ ἀκούσητε Μὴ σκληρύνητε τὰς καρδίας ὑμῶν ὡς ἐν τῷ παραπικρασμῷ
While it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts, as in the provocation.
οἱ δὲ νῦν οὐρανοὶ καὶ ἡ γῆ τῷ αὐτῷ λόγῳ τεθησαυρισμένοι εἰσὶν πυρί τηρούμενοι εἰς ἡμέραν κρίσεως καὶ ἀπωλείας τῶν ἀσεβῶν ἀνθρώπων
But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.
ἀγγέλους τε τοὺς μὴ τηρήσαντας τὴν ἑαυτῶν ἀρχὴν ἀλλὰ ἀπολιπόντας τὸ ἴδιον οἰκητήριον εἰς κρίσιν μεγάλης ἡμέρας δεσμοῖς ἀϊδίοις ὑπὸ ζόφον τετήρηκεν
And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day.
הֲלֹא-הוּא כָּמֻס עִמָּדִי חָתוּם בְּאֽוֹצְרֹתָֽי׃
Is not this laid up in store with me, and sealed up among my treasures?
εἰ δὲ θέλων ὁ θεὸς ἐνδείξασθαι τὴν ὀργὴν καὶ γνωρίσαι τὸ δυνατὸν αὐτοῦ ἤνεγκεν ἐν πολλῇ μακροθυμίᾳ σκεύη ὀργῆς κατηρτισμένα εἰς ἀπώλειαν
What if God, willing to shew his wrath, and to make known, his power endured with much longsuffering the vessels of wrath fitted to destruction:
וְלָמָּה תְכַבְּדוּ אֶת-לְבַבְכֶם כַּֽאֲשֶׁר כִּבְּדוּ מִצְרַיִם וּפַרְעֹה אֶת-לִבָּם הֲלוֹא כַּֽאֲשֶׁר הִתְעַלֵּל בָּהֶם וַֽיְשַׁלְּחוּם וַיֵּלֵֽכוּ׃
Wherefore then do ye harden your hearts, as the Egyptians and Pharaoh hardened their hearts? when he had wrought wonderfully among them, did they not let the people go, and they departed?
וַיְמָאֲנוּ לְהַקְשִׁיב וַיִּתְּנוּ כָתֵף סֹרָרֶת וְאָזְנֵיהֶם הִכְבִּידוּ מִשְּׁמֽוֹעַ׃
But they refused to hearken, and pulled away the shoulder, and stopped their ears, that they should not hear.
πάλιν τινὰ ὁρίζει ἡμέραν Σήμερον ἐν Δαβὶδ λέγων μετὰ τοσοῦτον χρόνον καθὼς εἴρηται Σήμερον ἐὰν τῆς φωνῆς αὐτοῦ ἀκούσητε μὴ σκληρύνητε τὰς καρδίας ὑμῶν
Again, he limiteth a certain day, saying in David, To day, after so long a time; as it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts.

The Lord at thy right hand shall strike through kings in the day of his wrath.
ἀλλὰ παρακαλεῖτε ἑαυτοὺς καθ' ἑκάστην ἡμέραν ἄχρις οὗ τὸ Σήμερον καλεῖται ἵνα μὴ σκληρυνθῇ τις ἐξ ὑμῶν ἀπάτῃ τῆς ἁμαρτίας
But exhort one another daily, while is it called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.
οἶδεν κύριος εὐσεβεῖς ἐκ πειρασμοῦ ῥύεσθαι ἀδίκους δὲ εἰς ἡμέραν κρίσεως κολαζομένους τηρεῖν
The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve to be the unjust unto the day of judgment punished:
עַתָּה אַל-תַּקְשׁוּ עָרְפְּכֶם כַּאֲבֽוֹתֵיכֶם תְּנוּ-יָד לַֽיהוָה וּבֹאוּ לְמִקְדָּשׁוֹ אֲשֶׁר הִקְדִּישׁ לְעוֹלָם וְעִבְדוּ אֶת-יְהוָה אֱלֹֽהֵיכֶם וְיָשֹׁב מִכֶּם חֲרוֹן אַפּֽוֹ׃
Now be ye not stiffnecked, as your fathers were, but yield yourselves unto the LORD, and enter into his sanctuary, which he hath sanctified for ever: and serve the LORD your God, that the fierceness of his wrath may turn away from you.
וּבֵית יִשְׂרָאֵל לֹא יֹאבוּ לִשְׁמֹעַ אֵלֶיךָ כִּֽי-אֵינָם אֹבִים לִשְׁמֹעַ אֵלָי כִּי כָּל-בֵּית יִשְׂרָאֵל חִזְקֵי-מֵצַח וּקְשֵׁי-לֵב הֵֽמָּה׃
But the house of Israel will not hearken unto thee; for they will not hearken unto me: for all the house of Israel are impudent and hardhearted.
כִּי לְיוֹם אֵיד יֵחָשֶׂךְ רָע לְיוֹם עֲבָרוֹת יוּבָֽלוּ׃
That the wicked is reserved to the day of destruction? they shall be brought forth to the day of wrath.
וּכְדִי רִם לִבְבֵהּ וְרוּחֵהּ תִּֽקְפַת לַהֲזָדָה הָנְחַת מִן-כָּרְסֵא מַלְכוּתֵהּ וִֽיקָרָה הֶעְדִּיוּ מִנֵּֽהּ׃
But when his heart was lifted up, and his mind hardened in pride, he was deposed from his kingly throne, and they took his glory from him:
אַל-תַּקְשׁוּ לְבַבְכֶם כִּמְרִיבָה כְּיוֹם מַסָּה בַּמִּדְבָּֽר׃
Harden not your heart, as in the provocation, and as in the day of temptation in the wilderness:
Οὐ γὰρ θέλω ὑμᾶς ἀγνοεῖν ἀδελφοί τὸ μυστήριον τοῦτο ἵνα μὴ ἦτε παρ᾽ ἑαυτοῖς φρόνιμοι ὅτι πώρωσις ἀπὸ μέρους τῷ Ἰσραὴλ γέγονεν ἄχρις οὗ τὸ πλήρωμα τῶν ἐθνῶν εἰσέλθῃ
For I would that not, brethren, ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in.
