תְּהִלַּת יְהוָה יְֽדַבֶּר פִּי וִיבָרֵךְ כָּל-בָּשָׂר שֵׁם קָדְשׁוֹ לְעוֹלָם וָעֶֽד׃
My mouth shall speak the praise of the LORD: and let all flesh bless his holy name for ever and ever.
אֲהַלְלָה יְהוָה בְּחַיָּי אֲזַמְּרָה לֵֽאלֹהַי בְּעוֹדִֽי׃
While I live will I praise the LORD: I will sing praises unto my God while I have any being.
אַשְׁרֵי שֶׁאֵל יַעֲקֹב בְּעֶזְרוֹ שִׂבְרוֹ עַל-יְהוָה אֱלֹהָֽיו׃
Happy is he that hath the God of Jacob for his help, whose hope is in the LORD his God:
עֹשֶׂה מִשְׁפָּט׀ לָעֲשׁוּקִים נֹתֵן לֶחֶם לָרְעֵבִים יְהוָה מַתִּיר אֲסוּרִֽים׃
Which executeth judgment for the oppressed: which giveth food to the hungry. The LORD looseth the prisoners:
יְהוָה׀ פֹּקֵחַ עִוְרִים יְהוָה זֹקֵף כְּפוּפִים יְהוָה אֹהֵב צַדִּיקִֽים׃
The LORD openeth the eyes of the blind: the LORD raiseth them that are bowed down: the LORD loveth the righteous:
יְהוָה׀ שֹׁמֵר אֶת-גֵּרִים יָתוֹם וְאַלְמָנָה יְעוֹדֵד וְדֶרֶךְ רְשָׁעִים יְעַוֵּֽת׃
The LORD preserveth the strangers; he relieveth the fatherless and widow: but the way of the wicked he turneth upside down.
יִמְלֹךְ יְהוָה׀ לְעוֹלָם אֱלֹהַיִךְ צִיּוֹן לְדֹר וָדֹר הַֽלְלוּ-יָֽהּ׃
The LORD shall reign for ever, even thy God, O Zion, unto all generations. Praise ye the LORD.
בּוֹנֵה יְרוּשָׁלִַם יְהוָה נִדְחֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל יְכַנֵּֽס׃
The LORD doth build up Jerusalem: he gathereth together the outcasts of Israel.
מְעוֹדֵד עֲנָוִים יְהוָה מַשְׁפִּיל רְשָׁעִים עֲדֵי-אָֽרֶץ׃
The LORD lifteth up the meek: he casteth the wicked down to the ground.
עֱנוּ לַיהוָה בְּתוֹדָה זַמְּרוּ לֵאלֹהֵינוּ בְכִנּֽוֹר׃
Sing unto the LORD with thanksgiving; sing praise upon the harp unto our God:
רוֹצֶה יְהוָה אֶת-יְרֵאָיו אֶת-הַֽמְיַחֲלִים לְחַסְדּֽוֹ׃
The LORD taketh pleasure in them that fear him, in those that hope in his mercy.
שַׁבְּחִי יְרוּשָׁלִַם אֶת-יְהוָה הַֽלְלִי אֱלֹהַיִךְ צִיּֽוֹן׃
Praise the LORD, O Jerusalem; praise thy God, O Zion.
הַלְלוּ יָהּ׀ הַֽלְלוּ אֶת-יְהוָה מִן-הַשָּׁמַיִם הַֽלְלוּהוּ בַּמְּרוֹמִֽים׃
Praise ye the LORD. Praise ye the LORD from the heavens: praise him in the heights.
יְֽהַֽלְלוּ אֶת-שֵׁם יְהוָה כִּי הוּא צִוָּה וְנִבְרָֽאוּ׃
Let them praise the name of the LORD: for he commanded, and they were created.
הַֽלְלוּ אֶת-יְהוָה מִן-הָאָרֶץ תַּנִּינִים וְכָל-תְּהֹמֽוֹת׃
Praise the LORD from the earth, ye dragons, and all deeps:
יְהַלְלוּ׀ אֶת-שֵׁם יְהוָה כִּֽי-נִשְׂגָּב שְׁמוֹ לְבַדּוֹ הוֹדוֹ עַל-אֶרֶץ וְשָׁמָֽיִם׃
Let them praise the name of the LORD: for his name alone is excellent; his glory is above the earth and heaven.
הַלְלוּ יָהּ׀ שִׁירוּ לַֽיהוָה שִׁיר חָדָשׁ תְּהִלָּתוֹ בִּקְהַל חֲסִידִֽים׃
Praise ye the LORD. Sing unto the LORD a new song, and his praise in the congregation of saints.
כִּֽי-רוֹצֶה יְהוָה בְּעַמּוֹ יְפָאֵר עֲנָוִים בִּישׁוּעָֽה׃
For the LORD taketh pleasure in his people: he will beautify the meek with salvation.
יִרְאַת יְהוָה רֵאשִׁית דָּעַת חָכְמָה וּמוּסָר אֱוִילִים בָּֽזוּ׃
The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.
תַּחַת כִּי-שָׂנְאוּ דָעַת וְיִרְאַת יְהוָֹה לֹא בָחָֽרוּ׃
For that they hated knowledge, and did not choose the fear of the LORD:
אָז תָּבִין יִרְאַת יְהוָה וְדַעַת אֱלֹהִים תִּמְצָֽא׃
Then shalt thou understand the fear of the LORD, and find the knowledge of God.
כִּֽי-יְהוָה יִתֵּן חָכְמָה מִפִּיו דַּעַת וּתְבוּנָֽה׃
For the LORD giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding.
בְּטַח אֶל-יְהוָה בְּכָל-לִבֶּךָ וְאֶל-בִּֽינָתְךָ אַל-תִּשָּׁעֵֽן׃
Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
אַל-תְּהִי חָכָם בְּעֵינֶיךָ יְרָא אֶת-יְהוָה וְסוּר מֵרָֽע׃
Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil.
כַּבֵּד אֶת-יְהוָה מֵהוֹנֶךָ וּמֵרֵאשִׁית כָּל-תְּבוּאָתֶֽךָ׃
Honour the LORD with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase:
מוּסַר יְהוָה בְּנִי אַל-תִּמְאָס וְאַל-תָּקֹץ בְּתוֹכַחְתּֽוֹ׃
My son, despise not the chastening of the LORD; neither be weary of his correction:
כִּי אֶת אֲשֶׁר יֶאֱהַב יְהוָה יוֹכִיחַ וּכְאָב אֶת-בֵּן יִרְצֶֽה׃
For whom the LORD loveth he correcteth; even as a father the son in whom he delighteth.
יְֽהוָה בְּחָכְמָה יָֽסַד-אָרֶץ כּוֹנֵן שָׁמַיִם בִּתְבוּנָֽה׃
The LORD by wisdom hath founded the earth; by understanding hath he established the heavens.
כִּֽי-יְהוָה יִהְיֶה בְכִסְלֶךָ וְשָׁמַר רַגְלְךָ מִלָּֽכֶד׃
For the LORD shall be thy confidence, and shall keep thy foot from being taken.
כִּי תוֹעֲבַת יְהוָה נָלוֹז וְֽאֶת-יְשָׁרִים סוֹדֽוֹ׃
For the froward is abomination to the LORD: but his secret is with the righteous.
מְאֵרַת יְהוָה בְּבֵית רָשָׁע וּנְוֵה צַדִּיקִים יְבָרֵֽךְ׃
The curse of the LORD is in the house of the wicked: but he blesseth the habitation of the just.
כִּי נֹכַח׀ עֵינֵי יְהוָה דַּרְכֵי-אִישׁ וְֽכָל-מַעְגְּלֹתָיו מְפַלֵּֽס׃
For the ways of man are before the eyes of the LORD, and he pondereth all his goings.
שֶׁשׁ-הֵנָּה שָׂנֵא יְהוָה וְשֶׁבַע (תועבות) תּוֹעֲבַת נַפְשֽׁוֹ׃
These six things doth the LORD hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him:
יִֽרְאַת יְהוָה שְֽׂנֹאת רָע גֵּאָה וְגָאוֹן׀ וְדֶרֶךְ רָע וּפִי תַהְפֻּכוֹת שָׂנֵֽאתִי׃
The fear of the LORD is to hate evil: pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate.
יְֽהוָה קָנָנִי רֵאשִׁית דַּרְכּוֹ קֶדֶם מִפְעָלָיו מֵאָֽז׃
The LORD possessed me in the beginning of his way, before his works of old.
כִּי מֹצְאִי (מצאי) מָצָא חַיִּים וַיָּפֶק רָצוֹן מֵיְהוָֽה׃
For whoso findeth me findeth life, and shall obtain favour of the LORD.
תְּחִלַּת חָכְמָה יִרְאַת יְהוָה וְדַעַת קְדֹשִׁים בִּינָֽה׃
The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding.
לֹֽא-יַרְעִיב יְהוָה נֶפֶשׁ צַדִּיק וְהַוַּת רְשָׁעִים יֶהְדֹּֽף׃
The LORD will not suffer the soul of the righteous to famish: but he casteth away the substance of the wicked.
בִּרְכַּת יְהוָה הִיא תַעֲשִׁיר וְלֹֽא-יוֹסִף עֶצֶב עִמָּֽהּ׃
The blessing of the LORD, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it.
יִרְאַת יְהוָה תּוֹסִיף יָמִים וּשְׁנוֹת רְשָׁעִים תִּקְצֹֽרְנָה׃
The fear of the LORD prolongeth days: but the years of the wicked shall be shortened.
מָעוֹז לַתֹּם דֶּרֶךְ יְהוָה וּמְחִתָּה לְפֹעֲלֵי אָֽוֶן׃
The way of the LORD is strength to the upright: but destruction shall be to the workers of iniquity.
מֹאזְנֵי מִרְמָה תּוֹעֲבַת יְהוָה וְאֶבֶן שְׁלֵמָה רְצוֹנֽוֹ׃
A false balance is abomination to the LORD: but a just weight is his delight.
תּוֹעֲבַת יְהוָה עִקְּשֵׁי-לֵב וּרְצוֹנוֹ תְּמִימֵי דָֽרֶךְ׃
They that are of a froward heart are abomination to the LORD: but such as are upright in their way are his delight.
טוֹב יָפִיק רָצוֹן מֵיְהוָה וְאִישׁ מְזִמּוֹת יַרְשִֽׁיעַ׃
A good man obtaineth favour of the LORD: but a man of wicked devices will he condemn.
תּוֹעֲבַת יְהוָה שִׂפְתֵי-שָׁקֶר וְעֹשֵׂי אֱמוּנָה רְצוֹנֽוֹ׃
Lying lips are abomination to the LORD: but they that deal truly are his delight.
הוֹלֵךְ בְּיָשְׁרוֹ יְרֵא יְהוָה וּנְלוֹז דְּרָכָיו בּוֹזֵֽהוּ׃
He that walketh in his uprightness feareth the LORD: but he that is perverse in his ways despiseth him.
בְּיִרְאַת יְהוָה מִבְטַח-עֹז וּלְבָנָיו יִהְיֶה מַחְסֶֽה׃
In the fear of the LORD is strong confidence: and his children shall have a place of refuge.
יִרְאַת יְהוָה מְקוֹר חַיִּים לָסוּר מִמֹּקְשֵׁי מָֽוֶת׃
The fear of the LORD is a fountain of life, to depart from the snares of death.
בְּֽכָל-מָקוֹם עֵינֵי יְהוָה צֹפוֹת רָעִים וטוֹבִֽים׃
The eyes of the LORD are in every place, beholding the evil and the good.
זֶבַח רְשָׁעִים תּוֹעֲבַת יְהוָה וּתְפִלַּת יְשָׁרִים רְצוֹנֽוֹ׃
The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to the LORD: but the prayer of the upright is his delight.
תּוֹעֲבַת יְהוָה דֶּרֶךְ רָשָׁע וּמְרַדֵּף צְדָקָה יֶאֱהָֽב׃
The way of the wicked is an abomination unto the LORD: but he loveth him that followeth after righteousness.
שְׁאוֹל וַאֲבַדּוֹן נֶגֶד יְהוָה אַף כִּֽי-לִבּוֹת בְּֽנֵי-אָדָֽם׃
Hell and destruction are before the LORD: how much more then the hearts of the children of men?
טוֹב-מְעַט בְּיִרְאַת יְהוָה מֵאוֹצָר רָב וּמְהוּמָה בֽוֹ׃
Better is little with the fear of the LORD than great treasure and trouble therewith.
בֵּית גֵּאִים יִסַּח׀ יְהוָה וְיַצֵּב גְּבוּל אַלְמָנָֽה׃
The LORD will destroy the house of the proud: but he will establish the border of the widow.
תּוֹעֲבַת יְהוָה מַחְשְׁבוֹת רָע וּטְהֹרִים אִמְרֵי-נֹֽעַם׃
The thoughts of the wicked are an abomination to the LORD: but the words of the pure are pleasant words.
רָחוֹק יְהוָה מֵרְשָׁעִים וּתְפִלַּת צַדִּיקִים יִשְׁמָֽע׃
The LORD is far from the wicked: but he heareth the prayer of the righteous.
יִרְאַת יְהוָה מוּסַר חָכְמָה וְלִפְנֵי כָבוֹד עֲנָוָֽה׃
The fear of the LORD is the instruction of wisdom; and before honour is humility.
לְאָדָם מַֽעַרְכֵי-לֵב וּמֵיְהוָה מַעֲנֵה לָשֽׁוֹן׃
The preparations of the heart in man, and the answer of the tongue, is from the LORD.
כָּֽל-דַּרְכֵי-אִישׁ זַךְ בְּעֵינָיו וְתֹכֵן רוּחוֹת יְהוָֽה׃
All the ways of a man are clean in his own eyes; but the LORD weigheth the spirits.
גֹּל אֶל-יְהוָה מַעֲשֶׂיךָ וְיִכֹּנוּ מַחְשְׁבֹתֶֽיךָ׃
Commit thy works unto the LORD, and thy thoughts shall be established.
כֹּל פָּעַל יְהוָה לַֽמַּעֲנֵהוּ וְגַם-רָשָׁע לְיוֹם רָעָֽה׃
The LORD hath made all things for himself: yea, even the wicked for the day of evil.
תּוֹעֲבַת יְהוָה כָּל-גְּבַהּ-לֵב יָד לְיָד לֹא יִנָּקֶֽה׃
Every one that is proud in heart is an abomination to the LORD: though hand join in hand, he shall not be unpunished.
בְּחֶסֶד וֶאֱמֶת יְכֻפַּר עָוֹן וּבְיִרְאַת יְהוָה סוּר מֵרָֽע׃
By mercy and truth iniquity is purged: and by the fear of the LORD men depart from evil.
בִּרְצוֹת יְהוָה דַּרְכֵי-אִישׁ גַּם-אוֹיְבָיו יַשְׁלִם אִתּֽוֹ׃
When a man's ways please the LORD, he maketh even his enemies to be at peace with him.
לֵב אָדָם יְחַשֵּׁב דַּרְכּוֹ וַֽיהוָה יָכִין צַעֲדֽוֹ׃
A man's heart deviseth his way: but the LORD directeth his steps.
פֶּלֶס׀ וּמֹאזְנֵי מִשְׁפָּט לַֽיהוָה מַעֲשֵׂהוּ כָּל-אַבְנֵי-כִֽיס׃
A just weight and balance are the LORD's: all the weights of the bag are his work.
מַשְׂכִּיל עַל-דָּבָר יִמְצָא-טוֹב וּבוֹטֵחַ בַּיהוָה אַשְׁרָֽיו׃
He that handleth a matter wisely shall find good: and whoso trusteth in the LORD, happy is he.
בַּחֵיק יוּטַל אֶת-הַגּוֹרָל וּמֵיְהוָה כָּל-מִשְׁפָּטֽוֹ׃
The lot is cast into the lap; but the whole disposing thereof is of the LORD.
מַצְרֵף לַכֶּסֶף וְכוּר לַזָּהָב וּבֹחֵן לִבּוֹת יְהוָֽה׃
The fining pot is for silver, and the furnace for gold: but the LORD trieth the hearts.
מַצְדִּיק רָשָׁע וּמַרְשִׁיעַ צַדִּיק תּוֹעֲבַת יְהוָה גַּם-שְׁנֵיהֶֽם׃
He that justifieth the wicked, and he that condemneth the just, even they both are abomination to the LORD.
מִגְדַּל-עֹז שֵׁם יְהוָה בּֽוֹ-יָרוּץ צַדִּיק וְנִשְׂגָּֽב׃
The name of the LORD is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe.
מָצָא אִשָּׁה מָצָא טוֹב וַיָּפֶק רָצוֹן מֵיְהוָֽה׃
Whoso findeth a wife findeth a good thing, and obtaineth favour of the LORD.
אִוֶּלֶת אָדָם תְּסַלֵּף דַּרְכּוֹ וְעַל-יְהוָה יִזְעַף לִבּֽוֹ׃
The foolishness of man perverteth his way: and his heart fretteth against the LORD.
בַּיִת וָהוֹן נַחֲלַת אָבוֹת וּמֵיְהוָה אִשָּׁה מַשְׂכָּֽלֶת׃
House and riches are the inheritance of fathers: and a prudent wife is from the LORD.
מַלְוֵה יְהוָה חוֹנֵֽן דָּל וּגְמֻלוֹ יְשַׁלֶּם-לֽוֹ׃
He that hath pity upon the poor lendeth unto the LORD; and that which he hath given will he pay him again.
רַבּוֹת מַחֲשָׁבוֹת בְּלֶב-אִישׁ וַעֲצַת יְהוָה הִיא תָקֽוּם׃
There are many devices in a man's heart; nevertheless the counsel of the LORD, that shall stand.
יִרְאַת יְהוָה לְחַיִּים וְשָׂבֵעַ יָלִין בַּל-יִפָּקֶד רָֽע׃
The fear of the LORD tendeth to life: and he that hath it shall abide satisfied; he shall not be visited with evil.
אֶבֶן וָאֶבֶן אֵיפָה וְאֵיפָה תּוֹעֲבַת יְהוָה גַּם-שְׁנֵיהֶֽם׃
Divers weights, and divers measures, both of them are alike abomination to the LORD.
אֹזֶן שֹׁמַעַת וְעַיִן רֹאָה יְהוָה עָשָׂה גַם-שְׁנֵיהֶֽם׃
The hearing ear, and the seeing eye, the LORD hath made even both of them.
אַל-תֹּאמַר אֲשַׁלְּמָה-רָע קַוֵּה לַֽיהוָה וְיֹשַֽׁע לָֽךְ׃
Say not thou, I will recompense evil; but wait on the LORD, and he shall save thee.
תּוֹעֲבַת יְהוָה אֶבֶן וָאָבֶן וּמֹאזְנֵי מִרְמָה לֹא-טֽוֹב׃
Divers weights are an abomination unto the LORD; and a false balance is not good.
מֵיְהוָה מִצְעֲדֵי-גָבֶר וְאָדָם מַה-יָּבִין דַּרְכּֽוֹ׃
Man's goings are of the LORD; how can a man then understand his own way?
נֵר יְהוָה נִשְׁמַת אָדָם חֹפֵשׂ כָּל-חַדְרֵי-בָֽטֶן׃
The spirit of man is the candle of the LORD, searching all the inward parts of the belly.
פַּלְגֵי-מַיִם לֶב-מֶלֶךְ בְּיַד-יְהוָה עַֽל-כָּל-אֲשֶׁר יַחְפֹּץ יַטֶּֽנּוּ׃
The king's heart is in the hand of the LORD, as the rivers of water: he turneth it whithersoever he will.
כָּֽל-דֶּרֶךְ-אִישׁ יָשָׁר בְּעֵינָיו וְתֹכֵן לִבּוֹת יְהוָֽה׃
Every way of a man is right in his own eyes: but the LORD pondereth the hearts.
עֲשֹׂה צְדָקָה וּמִשְׁפָּט נִבְחָר לַיהוָה מִזָּֽבַח׃
To do justice and judgment is more acceptable to the LORD than sacrifice.
אֵין חָכְמָה וְאֵין תְּבוּנָה וְאֵין עֵצָה לְנֶגֶד יְהוָֽה׃
There is no wisdom nor understanding nor counsel against the LORD.
סוּס מוּכָן לְיוֹם מִלְחָמָה וְלַֽיהוָה הַתְּשׁוּעָֽה׃
The horse is prepared against the day of battle: but safety is of the LORD.
עָשִׁיר וָרָשׁ נִפְגָּשׁוּ עֹשֵׂה כֻלָּם יְהוָֽה׃
The rich and poor meet together: the LORD is the maker of them all.
עֵקֶב עֲנָוָה יִרְאַת יְהוָה עֹשֶׁר וְכָבוֹד וְחַיִּֽים׃
By humility and the fear of the LORD are riches, and honour, and life.
עֵינֵי יְהוָה נָצְרוּ דָעַת וַיְסַלֵּף דִּבְרֵי בֹגֵֽד׃
The eyes of the LORD preserve knowledge, and he overthroweth the words of the transgressor.
שׁוּחָה עֲמֻקָּה פִּי זָרוֹת זְעוּם יְהוָה (יפול) יִפָּל-שָֽׁם׃
The mouth of strange women is a deep pit: he that is abhorred of the LORD shall fall therein.
לִהְיוֹת בַּיהוָה מִבְטַחֶךָ הוֹדַעְתִּיךָ הַיּוֹם אַף-אָֽתָּה׃
That thy trust may be in the LORD, I have made known to thee this day, even to thee.
כִּֽי-יְהוָה יָרִיב רִיבָם וְקָבַע אֶת-קֹבְעֵיהֶם נָֽפֶשׁ׃
For the LORD will plead their cause, and spoil the soul of those that spoiled them.
אַל-יְקַנֵּא לִבְּךָ בַּֽחַטָּאִים כִּי אִם-בְּיִרְאַת-יְהוָה כָּל-הַיּֽוֹם׃
Let not thine heart envy sinners: but be thou in the fear of the LORD all the day long.
פֶּן-יִרְאֶה יְהוָה וְרַע בְּעֵינָיו וְהֵשִׁיב מֵעָלָיו אַפּֽוֹ׃
Lest the LORD see it, and it displease him, and he turn away his wrath from him.
יְרָֽא-אֶת-יְהוָה בְּנִי וָמֶלֶךְ עִם-שׁוֹנִים אַל-תִּתְעָרָֽב׃
My son, fear thou the LORD and the king: and meddle not with them that are given to change:
כִּי גֶֽחָלִים אַתָּה חֹתֶה עַל-רֹאשׁוֹ וַֽיהוָה יְשַׁלֶּם-לָֽךְ׃
For thou shalt heap coals of fire upon his head, and the LORD shall reward thee.
אַנְשֵׁי-רָע לֹא-יָבִינוּ מִשְׁפָּט וּמְבַקְשֵׁי יְהוָה יָבִינוּ כֹֽל׃
Evil men understand not judgment: but they that seek the LORD understand all things.
