Galatians 5:1
Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made free, us and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.
Connections
Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.
For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another.
As free, and not using your liberty for a cloak of maliciousness, but as the servants of God.
For sin shall not have over dominion you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.
And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make free. you
For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made free me from the law of sin and death.
But now, after that ye have known God, or rather are known of God, how turn ye again to the weak and beggarly elements, whereunto ye desire again to be in bondage?
So then, brethren, we are not children of the bondwoman, but of the free.
Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)
And that because of false brethren unawares brought in, who came in privily to spy out our liberty which we have in Christ Jesus, that they might bring into bondage: us
But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost,
While they promise them liberty, they themselves are the servants of corruption: for of whom a man is overcome, of the same is he brought in bondage.
Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness.
Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men, be strong.
Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee.
The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;
But now we are delivered from the law, that being dead wherein we were held; that we should serve in newness of spirit, and not in the oldness of the letter.
Now therefore why tempt ye God, to put a yoke upon the neck of the disciples, which neither our fathers nor we were able to bear?
Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
For he that is called in the Lord, being a servant, is the Lord's freeman: likewise also he that is called, being free, is Christ's servant.
