Now Jephthah the Gileadite was a mighty man of valour, and he was the son of an harlot: and Gilead begat Jephthah.

Men and brethren, let freely me speak unto you of the patriarch David, that he is both dead and buried, and his sepulchre is with us unto this day.
τούτῳ πάντες οἱ προφῆται μαρτυροῦσιν ἄφεσιν ἁμαρτιῶν λαβεῖν διὰ τοῦ ὀνόματος αὐτοῦ πάντα τὸν πιστεύοντα εἰς αὐτόν
To him give all the prophets witness, that through his name whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sins.

Yea, and all the prophets from Samuel and those that follow after, as many as have spoken, have likewise foretold of these days.
καὶ μετὰ ταῦτα ὡς ἔτεσιν τετρακοσίοις καὶ πεντήκοντα ἔδωκεν κριτὰς ἕως Σαμουὴλ τοῦ προφήτου
And after that he gave unto them judges about the space of four hundred and fifty years, until Samuel the prophet.

What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?
