These words spake Jesus in the treasury, as he taught in the temple: and no man laid hands on him; for his hour was not yet come.

And Jesus sat over against the treasury, and beheld how the people cast money into the treasury: and many that were rich cast in much.
οἱ δὲ ἀρχιερεῖς λαβόντες τὰ ἀργύρια εἶπον Οὐκ ἔξεστιν βαλεῖν αὐτὰ εἰς τὸν κορβανᾶν ἐπεὶ τιμὴ αἵματός ἐστιν
And the chief priests took the silver pieces, and said, It is not for to lawful put them into the treasury, because it is the price of blood.
καὶ προσκαλεσάμενος τοὺς μαθητὰς αὐτοῦ λέγει αὐτοῖς Ἀμὴν λέγω ὑμῖν ὅτι ἡ χήρα αὕτη ἡ πτωχὴ πλεῖον πάντων βέβληκεν τῶν βαλόντων εἰς τὸ γαζοφυλάκιον·
And he called unto him his disciples, and saith unto them, Verily I say unto you, That this poor widow hath cast in, more than all they which have cast into the treasury:
τινὲς δὲ ἤθελον ἐξ αὐτῶν πιάσαι αὐτόν ἀλλ' οὐδεὶς ἐπέβαλεν ἐπ' αὐτὸν τὰς χεῖρας
And some of them would have taken him; but no man laid hands on him.
Καὶ ἐζήτησαν οἱ ἀρχιερεῖς καὶ οἱ γραμματεῖς ἐπιβαλεῖν ἐπ' αὐτὸν τὰς χεῖρας ἐν αὐτῇ τῇ ὥρᾳ καὶ ἐφοβήθησαν τὸν λαόν ἔγνωσαν γὰρ ὅτι πρὸς αὐτοὺς τὴν παραβολὴν ταύτην εἶπεν

For these Levites, the four chief porters, were in their set office, and were over the chambers and treasuries of the house of God.

Therefore they sought again to take him: but he escaped out of their hand,
ἀπεκρίθη ὁ Ἰησοῦς Οὐχὶ δώδεκα εἰσιν ὧραί τῆς ἡμέρας ἐάν τις περιπατῇ ἐν τῇ ἡμέρᾳ οὐ προσκόπτει ὅτι τὸ φῶς τοῦ κόσμου τούτου βλέπει·
Jesus answered, Are there not twelve hours in the day? If any man walk in the day, he stumbleth not, because he seeth the light of this world.
ἦραν οὖν λίθους ἵνα βάλωσιν ἐπ' αὐτόν· Ἰησοῦς δὲ ἐκρύβη καὶ ἐξῆλθεν ἐκ τοῦ ἱεροῦ διελθὼν διὰ μέσου αὐτῶν· καὶ παρῆγεν οὕτως
Then took they up stones to cast at him: but Jesus hid himself, and went out of the temple, going through the midst of them, and so passed by.
