ἀλλ' ἐρεῖ τις Πῶς ἐγείρονται οἱ νεκροί ποίῳ δὲ σώματι ἔρχονται
But some man will say, How are the up? dead raised and with what body do they come?
Εἰ δὲ Χριστὸς κηρύσσεται ὅτι ἐκ νεκρῶν ἐγήγερται πῶς λέγουσίν τινες ἐν ὑμῖν ὅτι ἀνάστασις νεκρῶν οὐκ ἔστιν
Now if Christ be preached that he rose from the dead, how say some among you that there is no resurrection of the dead?
כִּֽי-חֲמַת אָדָם תּוֹדֶךָּ שְׁאֵרִית חֵמֹת תַּחְגֹּֽר׃
Surely the wrath of man shall praise thee: the remainder of wrath shalt thou restrain.
בְּגוֹי חָנֵף אֲשַׁלְּחֶנּוּ וְעַל-עַם עֶבְרָתִי אֲצַוֶּנּוּ לִשְׁלֹל שָׁלָל וְלָבֹז בַּז (ולשימו) וּלְשׂוּמוֹ מִרְמָס כְּחֹמֶר חוּצֽוֹת׃
I will send him against an hypocritical nation, and against the people of my wrath will I give him a charge, to take the spoil, and to take the prey, and to tread them down like the mire of the streets.
מַגִּיד מֵֽרֵאשִׁית אַחֲרִית וּמִקֶּדֶם אֲשֶׁר לֹא-נַעֲשׂוּ אֹמֵר עֲצָתִי תָקוּם וְכָל-חֶפְצִי אֶעֱשֶֽׂה׃
Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure:
וְהוּא בְאֶחָד וּמִי יְשִׁיבֶנּוּ וְנַפְשׁוֹ אִוְּתָה וַיָּֽעַשׂ׃
But he is in one mind, and who can turn him? and what his soul desireth, even that he doeth.
ὁ μὲν υἱὸς τοῦ ἀνθρώπου ὑπάγει καθὼς γέγραπται περὶ αὐτοῦ οὐαὶ δὲ τῷ ἀνθρώπῳ ἐκείνῳ δι' οὗ ὁ υἱὸς τοῦ ἀνθρώπου παραδίδοται· καλὸν ἦν αὐτῷ εἰ οὐκ ἐγεννήθη ὁ ἄνθρωπος ἐκεῖνος
The Son of man indeed goeth, as it is written of him: but woe to that man by whom the Son of man is betrayed! good were it for that man if he had never been born.
הֵן יַחְתֹּף מִי יְשִׁיבֶנּוּ מִֽי-יֹאמַר אֵלָיו מַֽה-תַּעֲשֶֽׂה׃
Behold, he taketh away, who can hinder him? who will say unto him, What doest thou?
וְאַתֶּם חֲשַׁבְתֶּם עָלַי רָעָה אֱלֹהִים חֲשָׁבָהּ לְטֹבָה לְמַעַן עֲשֹׂה כַּיּוֹם הַזֶּה לְהַֽחֲיֹת עַם-רָֽב׃
But as for you, ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive.
אִם-לְכֹחַ אַמִּיץ הִנֵּה וְאִם-לְמִשְׁפָּט מִי יוֹעִידֵֽנִי׃
If I speak of strength, lo, he is strong: and if of judgment, who shall set me a time to plead?
τοῦτον τῇ ὡρισμένῃ βουλῇ καὶ προγνώσει τοῦ θεοῦ ἔκδοτον λαβόντες διὰ χειρῶν ἀνόμων προσπήξαντες ἀνείλετε
Him, being delivered by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God, ye have taken, and by wicked hands have crucified and slain:
συνήχθησαν γὰρ ἐπ' ἀληθείας ἐπὶ τὸν ἅγιον παῖδά σου Ἰησοῦν ὃν ἔχρισας Ἡρῴδης τε καὶ Πόντιος Πιλᾶτος σὺν ἔθνεσιν καὶ λαοῖς Ἰσραήλ

Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man:
ἐρεῖς οὖν Ἐξεκλάσθησαν οἵ κλάδοι ἵνα ἐγὼ ἐγκεντρισθῶ
Thou wilt say then, The branches were broken off, that I might be graffed in.
εἰ δὲ ἡ ἀδικία ἡμῶν θεοῦ δικαιοσύνην συνίστησιν τί ἐροῦμεν μὴ ἄδικος ὁ θεὸς ὁ ἐπιφέρων τὴν ὀργήν κατὰ ἄνθρωπον λέγω
But if our unrighteousness commend the righteousness of God, what shall we say? Is God unrighteous who taketh vengeance? (I speak as a man)
