ἡ γὰρ κρίσις ἀνίλεως τῷ μὴ ποιήσαντι ἔλεος· καὶ κατακαυχᾶται ἔλεος κρίσεως
For he shall have judgment that hath without mercy, shewed no mercy; and mercy rejoiceth against judgment.
ἡ δὲ ἄνωθεν σοφία πρῶτον μὲν ἁγνή ἐστιν ἔπειτα εἰρηνική ἐπιεικής εὐπειθής μεστὴ ἐλέους καὶ καρπῶν ἀγαθῶν ἀδιάκριτος καὶ ἀνυπόκριτος
But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.

הִגִּיד לְךָ אָדָם מַה-טּוֹב וּמָֽה-יְהוָה דּוֹרֵשׁ מִמְּךָ כִּי אִם-עֲשׂוֹת מִשְׁפָּט וְאַהֲבַת חֶסֶד וְהַצְנֵעַ לֶכֶת עִם-אֱלֹהֶֽיךָ׃
He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?
πλὴν ἀγαπᾶτε τοὺς ἐχθροὺς ὑμῶν καὶ ἀγαθοποιεῖτε καὶ δανείζετε μηδὲν ἀπελπίζοντες· καὶ ἔσται ὁ μισθὸς ὑμῶν πολύς καὶ ἔσεσθε υἱοὶ τοῦ ὑψίστου ὅτι αὐτὸς χρηστός ἐστιν ἐπὶ τοὺς ἀχαρίστους καὶ πονηρούς
But love ye your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for again; nothing and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be the children of the Highest: for he is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil.
מַלְוֵה יְהוָה חוֹנֵֽן דָּל וּגְמֻלוֹ יְשַׁלֶּם-לֽוֹ׃
He that hath pity upon the poor lendeth unto the LORD; and that which he hath given will he pay him again.

For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister.
לָהֵן מַלְכָּא מִלְכִּי יִשְׁפַּר עֲלָיךְ וַחֲטָיָךְ בְּצִדְקָה פְרֻק וַעֲוָיָתָךְ בְּמִחַן עֲנָיִן הֵן תֶּֽהֱוֵה אַרְכָה לִשְׁלֵוְתָֽךְ׃
Wherefore, O king, let my counsel be acceptable unto thee, and break off thy sins by righteousness, and thine iniquities by shewing mercy to the poor; if it may be a lengthening of thy tranquillity.
אַשְׁרֵי מַשְׂכִּיל אֶל-דָּל בְּיוֹם רָעָה יְֽמַלְּטֵהוּ יְהוָֽה׃
Blessed is he that considereth the poor: the LORD will deliver him in time of trouble.
προσερχώμεθα οὖν μετὰ παῤῥησίας τῷ θρόνῳ τῆς χάριτος ἵνα λάβωμεν ἔλεον καὶ χάριν εὕρωμεν εἰς εὔκαιρον βοήθειαν
Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

The merciful man doeth good to his own soul: but he that is cruel troubleth his own flesh.

He that despiseth his neighbour sinneth: but he that hath mercy on the poor, happy is he.
καὶ ὅταν στήκητε προσευχόμενοι ἀφίετε εἴ τι ἔχετε κατά τινος ἵνα καὶ ὁ πατὴρ ὑμῶν ὁ ἐν τοῖς οὐρανοῖς ἀφῇ ὑμῖν τὰ παραπτώματα ὑμῶν
And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.
