Ezekiel 2

וְהַבָּנִים קְשֵׁי פָנִים וְחִזְקֵי-לֵב אֲנִי שׁוֹלֵחַ אוֹתְךָ אֲלֵיהֶם וְאָמַרְתָּ אֲלֵיהֶם כֹּה אָמַר אֲדֹנָי יְהוִֹֽה׃
4
For they are impudent children and stiffhearted. I do send thee unto them; and thou shalt say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD.

Ezekiel 3

וּבֵית יִשְׂרָאֵל לֹא יֹאבוּ לִשְׁמֹעַ אֵלֶיךָ כִּֽי-אֵינָם אֹבִים לִשְׁמֹעַ אֵלָי כִּי כָּל-בֵּית יִשְׂרָאֵל חִזְקֵי-מֵצַח וּקְשֵׁי-לֵב הֵֽמָּה׃
7
But the house of Israel will not hearken unto thee; for they will not hearken unto me: for all the house of Israel are impudent and hardhearted.
וַיֹּאמֶר אֵלָי בֶּן-אָדָם אֶת-כָּל-דְּבָרַי אֲשֶׁר אֲדַבֵּר אֵלֶיךָ קַח בִּֽלְבָבְךָ וּבְאָזְנֶיךָ שְׁמָֽע׃
10
Moreover he said unto me, Son of man, all my words that I shall speak unto thee receive in thine heart, and hear with thine ears.

Ezekiel 6

וְזָכְרוּ פְלִֽיטֵיכֶם אוֹתִי בַּגּוֹיִם אֲשֶׁר נִשְׁבּוּ-שָׁם אֲשֶׁר נִשְׁבַּרְתִּי אֶת-לִבָּם הַזּוֹנֶה אֲשֶׁר-סָר מֵֽעָלַי וְאֵת עֵֽינֵיהֶם הַזֹּנוֹת אַחֲרֵי גִּלּֽוּלֵיהֶם וְנָקֹטּוּ בִּפְנֵיהֶם אֶל-הָֽרָעוֹת אֲשֶׁר עָשׂוּ לְכֹל תּוֹעֲבֹתֵיהֶֽם׃
9
And they that escape of you shall remember me among the nations whither they shall be carried captives, because I am broken with their whorish heart, which hath departed from me, and with their eyes, which go a whoring after their idols: and they shall lothe themselves for the evils which they have committed in all their abominations.

Ezekiel 11

וְנָתַתִּי לָהֶם לֵב אֶחָד וְרוּחַ חֲדָשָׁה אֶתֵּן בְּקִרְבְּכֶם וַהֲסִרֹתִי לֵב הָאֶבֶן מִבְּשָׂרָם וְנָתַתִּי לָהֶם לֵב בָּשָֽׂר׃
19
And I will give them one heart, and I will put a new spirit within you; and I will take the stony heart out of their flesh, and will give them an heart of flesh:
וְאֶל-לֵב שִׁקּוּצֵיהֶם וְתוֹעֲבוֹתֵיהֶם לִבָּם הֹלֵךְ דַּרְכָּם בְּרֹאשָׁם נָתַתִּי נְאֻם אֲדֹנָי יְהוִֽה׃
21
But as for them whose heart walketh after the heart of their detestable things and their abominations, I will recompense their way upon their own heads, saith the Lord GOD.

Ezekiel 13

בֶּן-אָדָם הִנָּבֵא אֶל-נְבִיאֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל הַנִּבָּאִים וְאָֽמַרְתָּ לִנְבִיאֵי מִלִּבָּם שִׁמְעוּ דְּבַר-יְהוָֽה׃
2
Son of man, prophesy against the prophets of Israel that prophesy, and say thou unto them that prophesy out of their own hearts, Hear ye the word of the LORD;
וְאַתָּה בֶן-אָדָם שִׂים פָּנֶיךָ אֶל-בְּנוֹת עַמְּךָ הַמִּֽתְנַבְּאוֹת מִֽלִּבְּהֶן וְהִנָּבֵא עֲלֵיהֶֽן׃
17
Likewise, thou son of man, set thy face against the daughters of thy people, which prophesy out of their own heart; and prophesy thou against them,
יַעַן הַכְאוֹת לֵב-צַדִּיק שֶׁקֶר וַאֲנִי לֹא הִכְאַבְתִּיו וּלְחַזֵּק יְדֵי רָשָׁע לְבִלְתִּי-שׁוּב מִדַּרְכּוֹ הָרָע לְהַחֲיֹתֽוֹ׃
22
Because with lies ye have made the heart of the righteous sad, whom I have not made sad; and strengthened the hands of the wicked, that he should not return from his wicked way, by promising him life:

Ezekiel 14

בֶּן-אָדָם הָאֲנָשִׁים הָאֵלֶּה הֶעֱלוּ גִלּֽוּלֵיהֶם עַל-לִבָּם וּמִכְשׁוֹל עֲוֹנָם נָתְנוּ נֹכַח פְּנֵיהֶם הַאִדָּרֹשׁ אִדָּרֵשׁ לָהֶֽם׃
3
Son of man, these men have set up their idols in their heart, and put the stumblingblock of their iniquity before their face: should I be inquired of at all by them?
לָכֵן דַּבֵּר-אוֹתָם וְאָמַרְתָּ אֲלֵיהֶם כֹּה-אָמַר׀ אֲדֹנָי יְהוִה אִישׁ אִישׁ מִבֵּית יִשְׂרָאֵל אֲשֶׁר יַעֲלֶה אֶת-גִּלּוּלָיו אֶל-לִבּוֹ וּמִכְשׁוֹל עֲוֹנוֹ יָשִׂים נֹכַח פָּנָיו וּבָא אֶל-הַנָּבִיא אֲנִי יְהוָה נַעֲנֵיתִי לוֹ ‫(בה)‬ בָא בְּרֹב גִּלּוּלָֽיו׃
4
Therefore speak unto them, and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Every man of the house of Israel that setteth up his idols in his heart, and putteth the stumblingblock of his iniquity before his face, and cometh to the prophet; I the LORD will answer him that cometh according to the multitude of his idols;
לְמַעַן תְּפֹשׂ אֶת-בֵּֽית-יִשְׂרָאֵל בְּלִבָּם אֲשֶׁר נָזֹרוּ מֵֽעָלַי בְּגִלּֽוּלֵיהֶם כֻּלָּֽם׃
5
That I may take the house of Israel in their own heart, because they are all estranged from me through their idols.
כִּי אִישׁ אִישׁ מִבֵּית יִשְׂרָאֵל וּמֵהַגֵּר אֲשֶׁר-יָגוּר בְּיִשְׂרָאֵל וְיִנָּזֵר מֵֽאַחֲרַי וְיַעַל גִּלּוּלָיו אֶל-לִבּוֹ וּמִכְשׁוֹל עֲוֹנוֹ יָשִׂים נֹכַח פָּנָיו וּבָא אֶל-הַנָּבִיא לִדְרָשׁ-לוֹ בִי אֲנִי יְהוָה נַֽעֲנֶה-לּוֹ בִּֽי׃

For every one of the house of Israel, or of the stranger that sojourneth in Israel, which separateth himself from me, and setteth up his idols in his heart, and putteth the stumblingblock of his iniquity before his face, and cometh to a prophet to inquire of him concerning me; I the LORD will answer him by myself:

Ezekiel 18

הַשְׁלִיכוּ מֵעֲלֵיכֶם אֶת-כָּל-פִּשְׁעֵיכֶם אֲשֶׁר פְּשַׁעְתֶּם בָּם וַעֲשׂוּ לָכֶם לֵב חָדָשׁ וְרוּחַ חֲדָשָׁה וְלָמָּה תָמֻתוּ בֵּית יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃
31
Cast away from you all your transgressions, whereby ye have transgressed; and make you a new heart and a new spirit: for why will ye die, O house of Israel?

Ezekiel 20

יַעַן בְּמִשְׁפָּטַי מָאָסוּ וְאֶת-חֻקּוֹתַי לֹא-הָלְכוּ בָהֶם וְאֶת-שַׁבְּתוֹתַי חִלֵּלוּ כִּי אַחֲרֵי גִלּוּלֵיהֶם לִבָּם הֹלֵֽךְ׃
16
Because they despised my judgments, and walked not in my statutes, but polluted my sabbaths: for their heart went after their idols.

Ezekiel 21

וְהָיָה כִּֽי-יֹאמְרוּ אֵלֶיךָ עַל-מָה אַתָּה נֶאֱנָח וְאָמַרְתָּ אֶל-שְׁמוּעָה כִֽי-בָאָה וְנָמֵס כָּל-לֵב וְרָפוּ כָל-יָדַיִם וְכִהֲתָה כָל-רוּחַ וְכָל-בִּרְכַּיִם תֵּלַכְנָה מַּיִם הִנֵּה בָאָה וְנִֽהְיָתָה נְאֻם אֲדֹנָי יְהוִֽה׃
7
And it shall be, when they say unto thee, Wherefore sighest thou? that thou shalt answer, For the tidings; because it cometh: and every heart shall melt, and all hands shall be feeble, and every spirit shall faint, and all knees shall be weak as water: behold, it cometh, and shall be brought to pass, saith the Lord GOD.
לְמַעַן׀ לָמוּג לֵב וְהַרְבֵּה הַמִּכְשֹׁלִים עַל כָּל-שַׁעֲרֵיהֶם נָתַתִּי אִבְחַת-חָרֶב אָח עֲשׂוּיָה לְבָרָק מְעֻטָּה לְטָֽבַח׃
15
I have set the point of the sword against all their gates, that their heart may faint, and their ruins be multiplied: ah! it is made bright, it is wrapped up for the slaughter.

Ezekiel 22

הֲיַעֲמֹד לִבֵּךְ אִם-תֶּחֱזַקְנָה יָדַיִךְ לַיָּמִים אֲשֶׁר אֲנִי עֹשֶׂה אוֹתָךְ אֲנִי יְהוָה דִּבַּרְתִּי וְעָשִֽׂיתִי׃
14
Can thine heart endure, or can thine hands be strong, in the days that I shall deal with thee? I the LORD have spoken it, and will do it.

Ezekiel 27

בְּלֵב יַמִּים גְּבוּלָיִךְ בֹּנַיִךְ כָּלְלוּ יָפְיֵֽךְ׃

Thy borders are in the midst of the seas, thy builders have perfected thy beauty.
אֳנִיּוֹת תַּרְשִׁישׁ שָׁרוֹתַיִךְ מַעֲרָבֵךְ וַתִּמָּלְאִי וַֽתִּכְבְּדִי מְאֹד בְּלֵב יַמִּֽים׃
25
The ships of Tarshish did sing of thee in thy market: and thou wast replenished, and made very glorious in the midst of the seas.
בְּמַיִם רַבִּים הֱבִאוּךְ הַשָּׁטִים אֹתָךְ רוּחַ הַקָּדִים שְׁבָרֵךְ בְּלֵב יַמִּֽים׃
26
Thy rowers have brought thee into great waters: the east wind hath broken thee in the midst of the seas.
הוֹנֵךְ וְעִזְבוֹנַיִךְ מַעֲרָבֵךְ מַלָּחַיִךְ וְחֹבְלָיִךְ מַחֲזִיקֵי בִדְקֵך וְֽעֹרְבֵי מַעֲרָבֵךְ וְכָל-אַנְשֵׁי מִלְחַמְתֵּךְ אֲשֶׁר-בָּךְ וּבְכָל-קְהָלֵךְ אֲשֶׁר בְּתוֹכֵךְ יִפְּלוּ בְּלֵב יַמִּים בְּיוֹם מַפַּלְתֵּֽךְ׃
27
Thy riches, and thy fairs, thy merchandise, thy mariners, and thy pilots, thy calkers, and the occupiers of thy merchandise, and all thy men of war, that are in thee, and in all thy company which is in the midst of thee, shall fall into the midst of the seas in the day of thy ruin.

Ezekiel 28

בֶּן-אָדָם אֱמֹר לִנְגִיד צֹר כֹּֽה-אָמַר׀ אֲדֹנָי יְהוִֹה יַעַן גָּבַהּ לִבְּךָ וַתֹּאמֶר אֵל אָנִי מוֹשַׁב אֱלֹהִים יָשַׁבְתִּי בְּלֵב יַמִּים וְאַתָּה אָדָם וְֽלֹא-אֵל וַתִּתֵּן לִבְּךָ כְּלֵב אֱלֹהִֽים׃
2
Son of man, say unto the prince of Tyrus, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Because thine heart is lifted up, and thou hast said, I am a God, I sit in the seat of God, in the midst of the seas; yet thou art a man, and not God, though thou set thine heart as the heart of God:
בְּרֹב חָכְמָתְךָ בִּרְכֻלָּתְךָ הִרְבִּיתָ חֵילֶךָ וַיִּגְבַּהּ לְבָבְךָ בְּחֵילֶֽךָ׃
5
By thy great wisdom and by thy traffick hast thou increased thy riches, and thine heart is lifted up because of thy riches:
לָכֵן כֹּה אָמַר אֲדֹנָי יְהוִה יַעַן תִּתְּךָ אֶת-לְבָבְךָ כְּלֵב אֱלֹהִֽים׃
6
Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Because thou hast set thine heart as the heart of God;
לַשַּׁחַת יֽוֹרִדוּךָ וָמַתָּה מְמוֹתֵי חָלָל בְּלֵב יַמִּֽים׃
8
They shall bring thee down to the pit, and thou shalt die the deaths of them that are slain in the midst of the seas.
גָּבַהּ לִבְּךָ בְּיָפְיֶךָ שִׁחַתָּ חָכְמָתְךָ עַל-יִפְעָתֶךָ עַל-אֶרֶץ הִשְׁלַכְתִּיךָ לִפְנֵי מְלָכִים נְתַתִּיךָ לְרַאֲוָה בָֽךְ׃
17
Thine heart was lifted up because of thy beauty, thou hast corrupted thy wisdom by reason of thy brightness: I will cast thee to the ground, I will lay thee before kings, that they may behold thee.

Ezekiel 31

לָכֵן כֹּה אָמַר אֲדֹנָי יְהוִה יַעַן אֲשֶׁר גָּבַהְתָּ בְּקוֹמָה וַיִּתֵּן צַמַּרְתּוֹ אֶל-בֵּין עֲבוֹתִים וְרָם לְבָבוֹ בְּגָבְהֽוֹ׃
10
Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Because thou hast lifted up thyself in height, and he hath shot up his top among the thick boughs, and his heart is lifted up in his height;

Ezekiel 32

וְהִכְעַסְתִּי לֵב עַמִּים רַבִּים בַּהֲבִיאִי שִׁבְרְךָ בַּגּוֹיִם עַל-אֲרָצוֹת אֲשֶׁר לֹֽא-יְדַעְתָּֽם׃
9
I will also vex the hearts of many people, when I shall bring thy destruction among the nations, into the countries which thou hast not known.

Ezekiel 33

וְיָבוֹאוּ אֵלֶיךָ כִּמְבוֹא-עָם וְיֵשְׁבוּ לְפָנֶיךָ עַמִּי וְשָֽׁמְעוּ אֶת-דְּבָרֶיךָ וְאוֹתָם לֹא יַֽעֲשׂוּ כִּֽי-עֲגָבִים בְּפִיהֶם הֵמָּה עֹשִׂים אַחֲרֵי בִצְעָם לִבָּם הֹלֵֽךְ׃
31
And they come unto thee as the people cometh, and they sit before thee as my people, and they hear thy words, but they will not do them: for with their mouth they shew much love, but their heart goeth after their covetousness.

Ezekiel 36

לָכֵן כֹּֽה-אָמַר אֲדֹנָי יְהוִה אִם-לֹא בְּאֵשׁ קִנְאָתִי דִבַּרְתִּי עַל-שְׁאֵרִית הַגּוֹיִם וְעַל-אֱדוֹם כֻּלָּא אֲשֶׁר נָתְנֽוּ-אֶת-אַרְצִי׀ לָהֶם לְמוֹרָשָׁה בְּשִׂמְחַת כָּל-לֵבָב בִּשְׁאָט נֶפֶשׁ לְמַעַן מִגְרָשָׁהּ לָבַֽז׃

Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Surely in the fire of my jealousy have I spoken against the residue of the heathen, and against all Idumea, which have appointed my land into their possession with the joy of all their heart, with despiteful minds, to cast it out for a prey.
וְנָתַתִּי לָכֶם לֵב חָדָשׁ וְרוּחַ חֲדָשָׁה אֶתֵּן בְּקִרְבְּכֶם וַהֲסִרֹתִי אֶת-לֵב הָאֶבֶן מִבְּשַׂרְכֶם וְנָתַתִּי לָכֶם לֵב בָּשָֽׂר׃
26
A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.

Ezekiel 38

כֹּה אָמַר אֲדֹנָי יְהוִה וְהָיָה׀ בַּיּוֹם הַהוּא יַעֲלוּ דְבָרִים עַל-לְבָבֶךָ וְחָשַׁבְתָּ מַחֲשֶׁבֶת רָעָֽה׃
10
Thus saith the Lord GOD; It shall also come to pass, that at the same time shall things come into thy mind, and thou shalt think an evil thought:

Ezekiel 40

וַיְדַבֵּר אֵלַי הָאִישׁ בֶּן-אָדָם רְאֵה בְעֵינֶיךָ וּבְאָזְנֶיךָ שְּׁמָע וְשִׂים לִבְּךָ לְכֹל אֲשֶׁר-אֲנִי מַרְאֶה אוֹתָךְ כִּי לְמַעַן הַרְאוֹתְכָה הֻבָאתָה הֵנָּה הַגֵּד אֶת-כָּל-אֲשֶׁר-אַתָּה רֹאֶה לְבֵית יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃
4
And the man said unto me, Son of man, behold with thine eyes, and hear with thine ears, and set thine heart upon all that I shall shew thee; for to the intent that I might shew them unto thee art thou brought hither: declare all that thou seest to the house of Israel.

Ezekiel 44

וַיֹּאמֶר אֵלַי יְהוָֹה בֶּן-אָדָם שִׂים לִבְּךָ וּרְאֵה בְעֵינֶיךָ וּבְאָזְנֶיךָ שְּׁמָע אֵת כָּל-אֲשֶׁר אֲנִי מְדַבֵּר אֹתָךְ לְכָל-חֻקּוֹת בֵּית-יְהוָה וּלְכָל-‫(תורתו)‬ תּֽוֹרֹתָיו וְשַׂמְתָּ לִבְּךָ לִמְבוֹא הַבַּיִת בְּכֹל מוֹצָאֵי הַמִּקְדָּֽשׁ׃

And the LORD said unto me, Son of man, mark well, and behold with thine eyes, and hear with thine ears all that I say unto thee concerning all the ordinances of the house of the LORD, and all the laws thereof; and mark well the entering in of the house, with every going forth of the sanctuary.
בַּהֲבִיאֲכֶם בְּנֵֽי-נֵכָר עַרְלֵי-לֵב וְעַרְלֵי בָשָׂר לִהְיוֹת בְּמִקְדָּשִׁי לְחַלְּלוֹ אֶת-בֵּיתִי בְּהַקְרִֽיבְכֶם אֶת-לַחְמִי חֵלֶב וָדָם וַיָּפֵרוּ אֶת-בְּרִיתִי אֶל כָּל-תּוֹעֲבוֹתֵיכֶֽם׃

In that ye have brought into my sanctuary strangers, uncircumcised in heart, and uncircumcised in flesh, to be in my sanctuary, to pollute it, even my house, when ye offer my bread, the fat and the blood, and they have broken my covenant because of all your abominations.
כֹּה-אָמַר אֲדֹנָי יְהוִה כָּל-בֶּן-נֵכָר עֶרֶל לֵב וְעֶרֶל בָּשָׂר לֹא יָבוֹא אֶל-מִקְדָּשִׁי לְכָל-בֶּן-נֵכָר אֲשֶׁר בְּתוֹךְ בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃
9
Thus saith the Lord GOD; No stranger, uncircumcised in heart, nor uncircumcised in flesh, shall enter into my sanctuary, of any stranger that is among the children of Israel.

Daniel 1

וַיָּשֶׂם דָּנִיֵּאל עַל-לִבּוֹ אֲשֶׁר לֹֽא-יִתְגָּאַל בְּפַתְבַּג הַמֶּלֶךְ וּבְיֵין מִשְׁתָּיו וַיְבַקֵּשׁ מִשַּׂר הַסָּרִיסִים אֲשֶׁר לֹא יִתְגָּאָֽל׃
8
But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king's meat, nor with the wine which he drank: therefore he requested of the prince of the eunuchs that he might not defile himself.

Daniel 8

וְעַל-שִׂכְלוֹ וְהִצְלִיחַ מִרְמָה בְּיָדוֹ וּבִלְבָבוֹ יַגְדִּיל וּבְשַׁלְוָה יַשְׁחִית רַבִּים וְעַל שַׂר-שָׂרִים יַעֲמֹד וּבְאֶפֶס יָד יִשָּׁבֵֽר׃
25
And through his policy also he shall cause craft to prosper in his hand; and he shall magnify himself in his heart, and by peace shall destroy many: he shall also stand up against the Prince of princes; but he shall be broken without hand.

Daniel 10

וַיֹּאמֶר אֵלַי אַל-תִּירָא דָנִיֵּאל כִּי׀ מִן-הַיּוֹם הָרִאשׁוֹן אֲשֶׁר נָתַתָּ אֶֽת-לִבְּךָ לְהָבִין וּלְהִתְעַנּוֹת לִפְנֵי אֱלֹהֶיךָ נִשְׁמְעוּ דְבָרֶיךָ וַאֲנִי-בָאתִי בִּדְבָרֶֽיךָ׃
12
Then said he unto me, Fear not, Daniel: for from the first day that thou didst set thine heart to understand, and to chasten thyself before thy God, thy words were heard, and I am come for thy words.

Daniel 11

וְנִשָּׂא הֶהָמוֹן ‫(ירום)‬ וְרָם לְבָבוֹ וְהִפִּיל רִבֹּאוֹת וְלֹא יָעֽוֹז׃

And when he hath taken away the multitude, his heart shall be lifted up; and he shall cast down many ten thousands: but he shall not be strengthened by it.
וְיָעֵר כֹּחוֹ וּלְבָבוֹ עַל-מֶלֶךְ הַנֶּגֶב בְּחַיִל גָּדוֹל וּמֶלֶךְ הַנֶּגֶב יִתְגָּרֶה לַמִּלְחָמָה בְּחַֽיִל-גָּדוֹל וְעָצוּם עַד-מְאֹד וְלֹא יַעֲמֹד כִּֽי-יַחְשְׁבוּ עָלָיו מַחֲשָׁבֽוֹת׃
25
And he shall stir up his power and his courage against the king of the south with a great army; and the king of the south shall be stirred up to battle with a very great and mighty army; but he shall not stand: for they shall forecast devices against him.
וּשְׁנֵיהֶם הַמְּלָכִים לְבָבָם לְמֵרָע וְעַל-שֻׁלְחָן אֶחָד כָּזָב יְדַבֵּרוּ וְלֹא תִצְלָח כִּי-עוֹד קֵץ לַמּוֹעֵֽד׃
27
And both these kings' hearts shall be to do mischief, and they shall speak lies at one table; but it shall not prosper: for yet the end shall be at the time appointed.
וְיָשֹׁב אַרְצוֹ בִּרְכוּשׁ גָּדוֹל וּלְבָבוֹ עַל-בְּרִית קֹדֶשׁ וְעָשָׂה וְשָׁב לְאַרְצֽוֹ׃
28
Then shall he return into his land with great riches; and his heart shall be against the holy covenant; and he shall do exploits, and return to his own land.

Hosea 2

לָכֵן הִנֵּה אָֽנֹכִי מְפַתֶּיהָ וְהֹֽלַכְתִּיהָ הַמִּדְבָּר וְדִבַּרְתִּי עַל-לִבָּֽהּ׃
14
Therefore, behold, I will allure her, and bring her into the wilderness, and speak comfortably unto her.

Hosea 4

זְנוּת וְיַיִן וְתִירוֹשׁ יִֽקַּֽח-לֵֽב׃

Whoredom and wine and new wine take away the heart.

Hosea 7

וּבַל-יֹֽאמְרוּ לִלְבָבָם כָּל-רָעָתָם זָכָרְתִּי עַתָּה סְבָבוּם מַֽעַלְלֵיהֶם נֶגֶד פָּנַי הָיֽוּ׃

And they consider not in their hearts that I remember all their wickedness: now their own doings have beset them about; they are before my face.
כִּֽי-קֵרְבוּ כַתַּנּוּר לִבָּם בְּאָרְבָּם כָּל-הַלַּיְלָה יָשֵׁן אֹֽפֵהֶם בֹּקֶר הוּא בֹעֵר כְּאֵשׁ לֶהָבָֽה׃

For they have made ready their heart like an oven, whiles they lie in wait: their baker sleepeth all the night; in the morning it burneth as a flaming fire.
וַיְהִי אֶפְרַיִם כְּיוֹנָה פוֹתָה אֵין לֵב מִצְרַיִם קָרָאוּ אַשּׁוּר הָלָֽכוּ׃

Ephraim also is like a silly dove without heart: they call to Egypt, they go to Assyria.
וְלֹֽא-זָעֲקוּ אֵלַי בְּלִבָּם כִּי יְיֵלִילוּ עַל-מִשְׁכְּבוֹתָם עַל-דָּגָן וְתִירוֹשׁ יִתְגּוֹרָרוּ יָסוּרוּ בִֽי׃

And they have not cried unto me with their heart, when they howled upon their beds: they assemble themselves for corn and wine, and they rebel against me.

Hosea 10

חָלַק לִבָּם עַתָּה יֶאְשָׁמוּ הוּא יַעֲרֹף מִזְבְּחוֹתָם יְשֹׁדֵד מַצֵּבוֹתָֽם׃

Their heart is divided; now shall they be found faulty: he shall break down their altars, he shall spoil their images.

Hosea 11

אֵיךְ אֶתֶּנְךָ אֶפְרַיִם אֲמַגֶּנְךָ יִשְׂרָאֵל אֵיךְ אֶתֶּנְךָ כְאַדְמָה אֲשִֽׂימְךָ כִּצְבֹאיִם נֶהְפַּךְ עָלַי לִבִּי יַחַד נִכְמְרוּ נִחוּמָֽי׃

How shall I give thee up, Ephraim? how shall I deliver thee, Israel? how shall I make thee as Admah? how shall I set thee as Zeboim? mine heart is turned within me, my repentings are kindled together.

Hosea 13

כְּמַרְעִיתָם וַיִּשְׂבָּעוּ שָׂבְעוּ וַיָּרָם לִבָּם עַל-כֵּן שְׁכֵחֽוּנִי׃

According to their pasture, so were they filled; they were filled, and their heart was exalted; therefore have they forgotten me.
אֶפְגְּשֵׁם כְּדֹב שַׁכּוּל וְאֶקְרַע סְגוֹר לִבָּם וְאֹכְלֵם שָׁם כְּלָבִיא חַיַּת הַשָּׂדֶה תְּבַקְּעֵֽם׃

I will meet them as a bear that is bereaved of her whelps, and will rend the caul of their heart, and there will I devour them like a lion: the wild beast shall tear them.

Joel 2

וְגַם-עַתָּה נְאֻם-יְהוָה שֻׁבוּ עָדַי בְּכָל-לְבַבְכֶם וּבְצוֹם וּבְבְכִי וּבְמִסְפֵּֽד׃

Therefore also now, saith the LORD, turn ye even to me with all your heart, and with fasting, and with weeping, and with mourning:

And rend your heart, and not your garments, and turn unto the LORD your God: for he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and repenteth him of the evil.

וְאַמִּיץ לִבּוֹ בַּגִּבּוֹרִים עָרוֹם יָנוּס בַּיּוֹם-הַהוּא נְאֻם-יְהוָֽה׃

The pride of thine heart hath deceived thee, thou that dwellest in the clefts of the rock, whose habitation is high; that saith in his heart, Who shall bring me down to the ground?

And Huzzab shall be led away captive, she shall be brought up, and her maids shall lead her as with the voice of doves, tabering upon their breasts.
בּוּקָה וּמְבוּקָה וּמְבֻלָּקָה וְלֵב נָמֵס וּפִק בִּרְכַּיִם וְחַלְחָלָה בְּכָל-מָתְנַיִם וּפְנֵי כֻלָּם קִבְּצוּ פָארֽוּר׃

She is empty, and void, and waste: and the heart melteth, and the knees smite together, and much pain is in all loins, and the faces of them all gather blackness.

Zephaniah 1

וְהָיָה בָּעֵת הַהִיא אֲחַפֵּשׂ אֶת-יְרוּשָׁלִַם בַּנֵּרוֹת וּפָקַדְתִּי עַל-הָאֲנָשִׁים הַקֹּֽפְאִים עַל-שִׁמְרֵיהֶם הָאֹֽמְרִים בִּלְבָבָם לֹֽא-יֵיטִיב יְהוָה וְלֹא יָרֵֽעַ׃

This is the rejoicing city that dwelt carelessly, that said in her heart, I am, and there is none beside me: how is she become a desolation, a place for beasts to lie down in! every one that passeth by her shall hiss, and wag his hand.

שִׂימוּ-נָא לְבַבְכֶם מִן-הַיּוֹם הַזֶּה וָמָעְלָה מִיּוֹם עֶשְׂרִים וְאַרְבָּעָה לַתְּשִׁיעִי לְמִן-הַיּוֹם אֲשֶׁר-יֻסַּד הֵֽיכַל-יְהוָה שִׂימוּ לְבַבְכֶֽם׃

Consider now from this day and upward, from the four and twentieth day of the ninth month, even from the day that the foundation of the LORD's temple was laid, consider it.

Zechariah 7

וְאַלְמָנָה וְיָתוֹם גֵּר וְעָנִי אַֽל-תַּעֲשֹׁקוּ וְרָעַת אִישׁ אָחִיו אַֽל-תַּחְשְׁבוּ בִּלְבַבְכֶֽם׃

And oppress not the widow, nor the fatherless, the stranger, nor the poor; and let none of you imagine evil against his brother in your heart.
וְלִבָּם שָׂמוּ שָׁמִיר מִשְּׁמוֹעַ אֶת-הַתּוֹרָה וְאֶת-הַדְּבָרִים אֲשֶׁר שָׁלַח יְהוָה צְבָאוֹת בְּרוּחוֹ בְּיַד הַנְּבִיאִים הָרִֽאשֹׁנִים וַֽיְהִי קֶצֶף גָּדוֹל מֵאֵת יְהוָה צְבָאֽוֹת׃

Yea, they made their hearts as an adamant stone, lest they should hear the law, and the words which the LORD of hosts hath sent in his spirit by the former prophets: therefore came a great wrath from the LORD of hosts.

Zechariah 8

וְאִישׁ׀ אֶת-רָעַת רֵעֵהוּ אַֽל-תַּחְשְׁבוּ בִּלְבַבְכֶם וּשְׁבֻעַת שֶׁקֶר אַֽל-תֶּאֱהָבוּ כִּי אֶת-כָּל-אֵלֶּה אֲשֶׁר שָׂנֵאתִי נְאֻם-יְהוָֽה׃

And let none of you imagine evil in your hearts against his neighbour; and love no false oath: for all these are things that I hate, saith the LORD.

Zechariah 10

וְהָיוּ כְגִבּוֹר אֶפְרַיִם וְשָׂמַח לִבָּם כְּמוֹ-יָיִן וּבְנֵיהֶם יִרְאוּ וְשָׂמֵחוּ יָגֵל לִבָּם בַּיהוָֽה׃

And they of Ephraim shall be like a mighty man, and their heart shall rejoice as through wine: yea, their children shall see it, and be glad; their heart shall rejoice in the LORD.

Zechariah 12

וְאָֽמְרוּ אַלֻּפֵי יְהוּדָה בְּלִבָּם אַמְצָה לִי יֹשְׁבֵי יְרוּשָׁלִַם בַּיהוָה צְבָאוֹת אֱלֹהֵיהֶֽם׃

And the governors of Judah shall say in their heart, The inhabitants of Jerusalem shall be my strength in the LORD of hosts their God.

Malachi 2

אִם-לֹא תִשְׁמְעוּ וְאִם-לֹא תָשִׂימוּ עַל-לֵב לָתֵת כָּבוֹד לִשְׁמִי אָמַר יְהוָה צְבָאוֹת וְשִׁלַּחְתִּי בָכֶם אֶת-הַמְּאֵרָה וְאָרוֹתִי אֶת-בִּרְכֽוֹתֵיכֶם וְגַם אָרוֹתִיהָ כִּי אֵינְכֶם שָׂמִים עַל-לֵֽב׃

If ye will not hear, and if ye will not lay it to heart, to give glory unto my name, saith the LORD of hosts, I will even send a curse upon you, and I will curse your blessings: yea, I have cursed them already, because ye do not lay it to heart.

Malachi 4

וְהֵשִׁיב לֵב-אָבוֹת עַל-בָּנִים וְלֵב בָּנִים עַל-אֲבוֹתָם פֶּן-אָבוֹא וְהִכֵּיתִי אֶת-הָאָרֶץ חֵֽרֶם׃

And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse.

For this people's heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.
παντὸς ἀκούοντος τὸν λόγον τῆς βασιλείας καὶ μὴ συνιέντος ἔρχεται πονηρὸς καὶ ἁρπάζει τὸ ἐσπαρμένον ἐν τῇ καρδίᾳ αὐτοῦ οὗτός ἐστιν παρὰ τὴν ὁδὸν σπαρείς

When any one heareth the word of the kingdom, and understandeth it not, then cometh the wicked one, and catcheth away that which was sown in his heart. This is he which received seed by the way side.

And when he had looked round about on them with anger, being grieved for the hardness of their hearts, he saith unto the man, Stretch forth thine hand. And he stretched it out: and his hand was restored whole as the other.

And these are they by the way side, where the word is sown; but when they have heard, Satan cometh immediately, and taketh away the word that was sown in their hearts.

And when Jesus knew it, he saith unto them, Why reason ye, because ye have no bread? perceive ye not yet, neither understand? have ye your heart yet hardened?
